Unbelievable ripoff estimates. Had a minor bump on my Tesla rear passenger wheel cowling, less the size of the palm of your hand. Verbal $ 3,000, then the written bid was $ 5,000. They claimed the entire bumper had to come off, window had to come out and be resealed, ever the rear nameplates had to come off. Completely ridiculous. Needless to say I won’t be back nor will any of my friends. Complaint on record at Tesla.

Ok let me just start by saying this place is a major major rip off. First things first my tesla model s had a small front fender ding to it that ended up costing 12,700 dollars that’s right almost 13k and 48 DAYS to repair. Second part I have gaico Insurance so they typically upload the images that came from the estimate. How about images that are not even my car things that don’t apply to an electric car… OK thats not all of it my car was driven for 20 MILES AT HIGH SPEEDS IF YOU HAVE A TESLA YOU WILL UNDERSTAND AT 900KW. Someone was abusing the car for 20 miles. Yes I will sue them. Next thing is I’m there to pick up the car and the workmanship is just so bad you can see gaps between the bumper and the fender that I can fit my finger through. I was not happy so they told me wait 5 minutes we will adjust the bumper. The longest 5 minutes that took an hour. Drove the car off the lot fed up so I went to the Super charger that’s 2 minutes down the street and the nose cone popped right off the car not to mention I couldn’t close back the front trunk. Anyway I will have an insurance call and will figure this out with another body shop. By the way don’t trust leaving your cars there. They remove parts like hoods trunks and what not and don’t have the decency to throw a piece of tarp over it. Cars are sitting there without doors or trunks full of trash, dust etc.

How about that. I just added another image of the poor workmanship. A note that I made sure to get from their repair manager before leaving their lot. Just proves further that everything in this review is completely true.

I really loved their service, everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful. I took my Tesla after it had been hit on the front side bumper while parked at a lot and they were able to make it once again look like new. The manager Miro Bilaver was incredible gracious and helpful, took time to answer all my many many questions before the insurance people arrived even though they were very busy. I am very happy found a trustworthy place to take my car if something ever happens again.

Took my car in after I was rear ended. They did a great job and got my car back looking like new. They are very busy and that’s a good sign of great work.

Since my first review of DC, my car (same one) has been rear ended twice. The first cost $ 10k to fix, the second $ 6k. No one got hurt and the damage was completely covered by insurance (it was the other drivers’ faults both times). What compelled me to do a follow up review was that being rear ended the second time proved that the structural repair that DC performed was excellent as it kept the passengers safe. I normally only think about how the repairs look superficially, but this was a a good lesson to take structural repair under consideration.
I hope I’m done with car accidents for a long time, but my car will be back to DC if the streak continues.

I have to say the customer service at DC Autocraft is exceptional. I had a small issue and within 30 minutes (after they had closed) they were on the phone sorting it out. Their work is superb — I have been there twice and both times they have been brilliant. I would not go anywhere else for body work and repair.

I would almost crash my car again just to bring it back to DC AUTOCRAFT. JK! But really I can’t give them a higher recommendation! At 9 months pregnant I put a huge scratch/​dent in my brand new car, which we bought because we are about to be parents. So sending my car to a shop for repair was a huge bummer because I know how long it can take (last year we had a TERRIBLE experience with West Hollywood repair shop; rhymes with HE LIES).
DC bent over backwards to get me my car back before the birth of my kid so we won’t have to bring our baby home in a rental. AND they consistently kept me updated on the progress of the work, leaving me messages every 2 – 3 days. AND they got my car done before my covered rental days were up, saving me any money I would have had to spend there.
So many thanks to EVERYONE at DC AUTOCRAFT!!!

I took in my Tesla as DC Autocraft is one of the few Tesla Authorized Repair Facilities over a month ago. So far DC Autocraft has been very professional in the way it has handled the repair job. They have kept me in the loop at all times and worked with me in getting things done as fast as possible. I will post another review upon completion.

I never write reviews but feel compelled to do so in this case. DC Autocraft was referred to me by my Jaguar dealer during December 2009 to repair body damage as a result of an car accident; Mercury approved the transaction. Throughout the course of service DC Autocraft did not meet the committed timeline. I constantly had to call for updates, the contact was not at all proactive nor was I kept in the loop, unless I took the initiative. The work was completed approximately one week later than promised.
I recently experienced a small issue with the completed work and contacted DC Autocraft to see if they would fix this small issue (Jaguar stated it would take them no longer than an hour to resolve). I had to send a copy of my receipt, follow-​up for status a few times and was then told they would not cover as the warranty just ended… one month ago. They did not even take a look at the car to evaluate the problem. In the spirit of good customer service I would think it makes sense to determine the issue and possible resolution (s) and discuss potential solutions with the customer. I have passed on my experience to my insurance broker and Mercury so they are aware of DC Autocraft’s inflexibility and unwillingness to work with customers.

WOW. I am so happy that I used DC AUTOCRAFT. Geico wanted me to use their own auto shop but i decided to use DC AUTO CRAFT which conveniently had an office on the RUSNAK PASADENA lot. Rusnak Pasadena also has an Enterprise and they gave me an Audi 2015 rental car. It was great! The girls in the DC Autocraft office (Erika, Valerie and Isabell) are so nice and helpful. The called me every couple of days with updates and they even had one of their service guys help remove my car seat!
The place is so clean and my car came back fixed and new!
I will definetely be using them again!
They also safely reinstalled my carseat and returned my rental to Enterprise.

We are so pleased to have brought our new Jaguar into D.C.for the necessary body repairs. It was well worth the wait and we have the peace of mind in knowing that our car was in good hands during the repair period. Our XK received excellent attention and we were so pleased to have it back looking like new again. In the detail shop, J.C. really went the extra distance to get the finish just perfect. Carlos the Dept. Manager was very reassuring and helpful in getting our car back in such great shape. Our thanks to the ladies in the front office for coordinating all of the logistics I hope and pray that we never again need services from a Body Repair Shop … but if we did? I wouldn’t go anyplace else.

I would like to share my latest and greatest experience with DC.
Sadly, I had an accident which severely damaged the front end of my 2014 911 (with 4K miles!). Thank god no one was injured!
The bad news: My car was at DC for a long time.
The good news: My car was delivered and is PERFECT!
The craftspeople at DC are true artists.
The support team at DC are true professionals.
Overall, slightly frustrating but clearly worth the wait.
If you want your car to be restored to original/​perfect condition, DC is the place to go!

My two week old bright red Tesla got backed into right at the charging port (Ahhh!!!) I drove her down to the Tesla service center where I ran into Kevin of DC. He walked me through the whole process and made me feel super comfortable. I knew I had my baby in the right hands.
I was kept well informed as to the progress of the repairs and Kevin promised that it would be like new, he was right. Couldn’t be happier!!! Kevin should get a raise and the front office girls make me want to crash my car again just to get another peek. Charlotte — Breathtaking!

My exotic was brought to DC through the local dealer because supposedly they are one of the few places authorized to do aluminum body work. I received updates almost every week, even more updates than the dealer provided. They did a great job, my car feels better than new and they took care of some extras like a new battery and detail because the car was back and forth at the dealer for two months. It’s rare to find a place that is timely in serving exotics. Definitely recommend and don’t worry about bringing yours to this place.

Its rare I find the need to write a bad review but my experience with DC Autocraft has truly earned it. This review is not about their worksmanship since I didnt get that far, but about their customer service or better yet their total disregard for their customers. I recently bought a Carrera from Rusnak Porsche and decided to add a OEM bodykit consisting of a rear spoiler and front bumper. I went through Rusnak’s parts dept and ordered the Porsche factory kit. My dealer suggested DC to have the parts painted and installed. I got 2 estimates one from DC and the other from a different certified Porsche bodyshop who was refered from The Auto Gallery. First estimate was for $ 1350 and DCs estimate was $ 900, not worlds apart. Well I went with DC mainly because they were recommended by Rusnak and while the lower cost didnt hurt it wasn’t the deciding factor when your dealing with a 100k+ car. Throughout the process the parts manager at Rusnak was involved, numerous emails were exchanged, and I even sent DC a link with the exact kit and part number. There was no ambiguity about what the job involved. They had also claimed that they work on lots of Porsches and made themselves seem competent and experienced for the job.
Parts were ordered and shipped directly to DC Autocraft. A week went by and I didnt hear back from them so I called Kevin who was my contact. He says yes the parts have arrived but there is a problem. Kevin basically said the estimate given was too low and it will cost $ 2,300 not $ 900. He then said that he had a long discussion with the manager and he could lower the price a little bit. I told him that it was unprofessional and it felt like a bait and switch. There was no excuse or reason for them to change their quote. I was SUPER clear about the job and there was no mistaking it. Although I felt a little uneasy I still tried to make it work and offered to pay $ 1,350, the higher estimate. I’d rather pay them a little more and get it done rather than deal with having the already opened parts sent somewhere else. He told me I need to talk to the general manager.
I called and spoke with Miro who is the GM and explained to him the situation. He acted like he didnt know what was going on. He said that he had to ‘investigate’ and talk to Kevin, even though Kevin had earlier told me that they had a long discussion about it. I told him about my other quote and that I would be willing to pay him the higher of two quotes and everybody can move on. He called me back and said that they wouldn’t do the job for $ 1350! Mind you, he knows he already has the parts in his possession so he basically tried to use it as leverage. I explained to him again that clearly it’s their own internal issue and the quote was given and the parts were already received and opened. He conceded it was their ‘mistake’ but he won’t do anything about it. I reminded him that I wasn’t even trying to hold them to the $ 900 original quote and was willing to help ease the situation by paying them the higher of the two estimates as it would be in everybodies best interest. I couldn’t be more logical yet he subbornly refused and said the parts can be sent to another bodyshop. WTF? Really?
Their unprofessionalism in changing their quote AFTER they received the parts and their unwillingness to do ANYTHING to address the issue is jaw dropping. In retrospect I’m glad they refused so my dealings with them are over.

DC autocraft was super easy to work with. I got rear ended :(but dealing with the repairs was so much easier than I has expected.
I dropped my car off at DC’s Pasadena location and worked with Stephen. He walked me through the whole process from start to finish and made sure to explain every step of the way to me which was really great since I’ve never been in an accident before or had to deal with insurance companies.

I should be writing two reviews since I’ve used DC Autocraft twice. In both instances I experienced excellent customer service. They really go above and beyond.
The first time I used to DC Autocraft was in mid 2013 when I was rear-​ended. I was given a tour by the GM, Miro. He explained the process of how my car would be fixed and various other details. The damage on my car was pretty bad a required a new bumper. When I received my car back, the bumper color matched perfectly to the rest of the car (I have a 2010 A4). The car was fixed in a timely manner, and they made a point to call me every few days with a update on what was going on.
The second time I used to DC Autocraft was last week. Again, I was rear-​ended and again the people at DC were amazing. They painted my bumper and replaced the bottom part of the bumper. Needless to say, the car looked great when I got it back. They even detailed my car before handing it back to me. Another bonus was that they dealt directly with the insurance company, which was great because the insurance company was playing hardball. DC took care of everything and kept me in the loop. My car was fixed in lightening speed– 4 business days.
I will be recommending DC Autocraft to everyone I know!

2^nd time dealing with DC…2^nd time a disaster.
First time was a $ 29,000 repair on my Bentley. When I questioned the exorbitant amount I was told if I didn’t like it I could come and pick up my car. The repairs took forever and instead of the 3 weeks promised it took 3 months to get my car back.
This time the repair to my door was $ 10,000 and when the car was returned, the body was painted different color than the door with no explanation as to why they would deliver it to me in this state.
They pride themselves on customer service but this customer was very disappointed and, when I complained was told to, «take my car and get out… they didn’t need my business.»
Not nice, DC… not nice.

Smart and Professional are the 2 words that come to mind. I almost went to another body shop but my gut and my BMW service rep, Galo told me to go to DC Autocraft.
Miro at DC AutoCraft not only repairs cars impeccably well, but he also knows how to work with insurance companies to get the best for you and your car. I was constantly kept in the loop with the status of the repair, pending insurance approvals, and even the shipping of new parts. I left totally satisfied and my car looks like it should, awesome.
