Specialties

The Buena Vista branch is just one of the three great Burbank libraries. It has over 150,000 items to meet your educational, information and recreational needs. We have the latest books, DVDs, CDs, book on CDs as well as free internet (one hour and 15 minute express) and free wi-fi access.

Check out our web site www.burbanklibrary.com for access to our catalog, databases (full text newspapers and magazines, and homework helpers) and especially a listing of all the great free programs we offer for everyone of all ages.

To get a library card, all you need is a picture I.D. and printed proof of current address. Just visiting the area? Stop in, we can still help.

History

Established in 1913.

The original Buena Vista branch was opened on the corner of Buena Vista St. and Verdugo in 1943. We expanded in 1958, and opened our new location Dec. 7, 2002.

The Burbank Public Library is funded by the City of Burbank and is a separate library system from LAPL or the County of LA systems.
