Burbank Occupational Health

The clinic was closing in an hour at the time we arrived. But it was unprofessional to see the front desk staff and medical assistant roll their eyes and whisper to one another as we walked in. I heard one of them say, «we should lock the front doors.»
I went in because I had been unable to keep food down all day and night, however because they were «closing soon» they made me sign a waiver stating that I would waive getting a IV treatment (even if it was medically necessary due to dehydration) because they were going to close in an hour.
At the time, I suspected the vomiting was because I might be pregnant and let he doctor know. But he didn’t even do a pregnancy test… it seemed he just wanted me quickly out. He prescribed me pregnancy nausea medication. It would have been nice to have had a quick urine test done so that my pregnancy could have been confirmed (as this is my first pregnancy and I hadn’t had a test done yet) or to have been medically examined. But he didn’t even shake my hand.
Although the medication he prescribed was helpful, I would not recommend this facility due to the lack of medical professionalism and neglect.

Read all the reviews on this place, gave it a chance earlier tonight and was very impressed — GREAT EXPERIENCE. The receptionist saw that I was having trouble breathing and told me to not even sit down and fill out the paperwork — she said to take it back with me and fill it out while they were examining me. In less than one minute I was past the front desk and back in an examination room — moments later, a doctor and assistant were already talking to me. You just can’t ask for a better «check in» than that. And this is coming from a guy who in previous events has had to struggle to get past the front desk at the local hospital ER. (Yes, I’m talking about you, Saint Joe…) The doctor and technician who tended to me were extremely knowledgeable, extremely nice and at all times gave me the impression that they really cared about me and the outcome of my visit. I got there a little before 7 pm and even though my breathing still hadn’t returned to a level they wanted by closing time at 8 pm, they insisted that no one was going anywhere until they had given me another round of treatment to try and get my numbers up to where they needed to be. I’ve been to two other Burbank urgent care facilities in the past and while they weren’t bad experiences, I didn’t leave either place with the great feeling I had when I left this one. I will definitely go back to this one for any future needs and I’m definitely recommending them to anyone who reads this. Well done!

Was seem promptly by Chandra Goff P.A. Excellent bedside manner and customer service. From the front desk, to the assistants, 5 star service. They took my PPO insurance.

I Work in healthcare so my expectations are high not only is Dr. Lee wonderful and understandings but the most important the staff has great customer service and they are highly efficient I changed my insurance just so I don’t have to go to another urgent care. Thank you all.

Super fast. First time visit and was in and out in 45 mins. Very friendly staff, nurses and doc.
Hopefully I don’t have to come back soon, but if something comes up, I’ll come back here…

We took our daughter for an ongoing fever, flu on a Sunday since her pediatricians office was closed. We saw the positive Unilocal reviews and we wanted to avoid the nightmare that is the St Joseph emergency room with the two hour wait and front office staff. We were pleasantly surprised with the staff at the urgent care and the physician. This is a great option for a non ER situation on a weekend.

First time here and I was highly impressed with the staff and Dr.Lee. he was professional, compassionate, and made sure I got taken care or in a timely manner. I’m not going into detail on why I was there but I recommend this place to everyone in Burbank. A++

Office was clean and everyone was nice but I feel completely ripped off. I think the doctor spent a total of 2 mins in my room. Biggest waste of $ 135, ever.
I always avoid going in to a doctors office because they never take me seriously or believe my symptoms. And I’m never one to complain about feeling sick.
I’ve been really sick for over a week (picture food poisoning) and I just got back from Mexico so I decided to go in and make sure nothing was really wrong.
They didn’t even take blood or samples or anything, the doctor basically acted like I was wasting his time. I’m assuming it’s because I didn’t have a fever, but they never even gave me a chance to say I never get a fever, not even when I’m deathly ill. Or explain all of my symptoms. I had to chase him as he went out the door to find out what to do if I don’t get better and he was basically «I guess come back».
Thanks for reaffirming why I hate doctors!

the nurses and doctors brought my spirits up. I can’t thank them enough for their quick action and welcoming attitudes. it’s odd to say this but I actually had fun (despite the circumstances haha) while I was there!

I have been here several time for events that didn’t warrant the ER and that couldn’t wait for a visit to my primary care physician (which is the true use of urgent care). The doctor that we have seen is also an ER doctor, Dr. Lee. He is knowledgeable and has a kind bedside manner. It’s a shame that most people don’t know the true meaning of EMERGENCY. If they did, they would stay out of the ER, go to this urgent care and save the ER for things like heart attacks and strokes. Urgent care is way less expensive and can handle a lot of medical issues without a huge wait.

I’m new to the area and found them on Unilocal and Google. I had a stye/​Chalazion infection on my lower eyelid. They saw me very quickly. I’m so glad it was a short wait time. All of the staff were very kind and attentive. The nurse was so sweet. They all had a nice smile and demeanor. I saw 2 doctors. The first was a very nice lady and the other was for a second opinion with Dr. Lee because he had more experience. They were so great. I really felt that they have a genuine care for patients. They did not rush through the process. They gave me a print out of all the information I needed and sent the prescription to the pharmacy. I am so glad to find health care done by people with real human hearts. So grateful and relieved.

First time here, checked in at 7pm last night and was greeted by a very nice lady that explained all the forms I needed to fill out. When I brought back the paperwork, she promptly took my co pay and asked me about my tattoos and was genuinely concerned about my welfare — that’s rare these days, especially in an urgent care late in the day. I didn’t know that this UCC is contracted with Healthcare Partners which is great because this one is closer to my home. Parking is small at street level but they also provide underground parking.
Waited about 15 – 20 minutes and was called in by Walter, the nurse that took me in. He’s the reason I’m writing this review. He’s straight up, to the point and knows his shit! He took one look at my throat and knew exactly what it was. He quickly took action, swabbed my throat and sure enough, it came back positive. In between getting all the medicine together, he told me to lie down and rest. He then came back and gave me a penicillin shot but he didn’t just come in and stab me, he warmed it up, injected it with virtually no pain and then proceeded to massage it to get it in the muscle faster. Apparently, it’s a penicillin powder mixed with water and has the consistency of paste. It hurt like a motherf*cker once it was in the muscle, but because he took all those measures, the pain wasn’t as bad. As I’m writing this review, the shot site feels like I got a charlie-​horse on my hip so I can’t even imagine what it would feel like if he hadn’t massaged it in and warmed it up.
I had to wait another 15 min post injection and he called my husband in to wait with me and took the time to chat with us and explained everything I needed to do after I left. He told my husband that if he got sick, to come back and he’d take care of us. The care and service I received from Walter was unparalleled and truly exceeded my expectations. It made this illness a little easier to bear.

Either I’m really picky with Doctors, or it’s really hard to find good ones in this area. I’ve tried so many doctors and none of them really care, or they miss important symptoms. I was nervous to go to urgent care, because I’ve heard stories about other urgent care facilities, and I’m already distrusting of a lot of doctors in the area.
Wow, this was the first time I actually liked my experience! No wait time, just a couple forms to fill out, the nurse that took my vitals was knowledgable, smart, and kind. The doctor saw me promptly and listened to everything I said. Then he ruled out every disease I had created in my head with intelligence and facts. He thought outside the box and he really took the time to figure out my issues. (I believe it was Dr Lee?) The assistant that was with him (not sure if she was training) was amazing as well. When he left the room she continued to answer my questions with the same level of intelligence and knowledge and kindness. If that wasn’t enough, the man who took my blood was kind as well, and funny. The whole experience blew my mind and restored my trust in doctors, well, at least for these doctors.
Granted, I’ve only been once, but based on yesterday’s experience, this is how all medical facilities should be!

The best urgent care center I have been to!
My very young daughter was not feeling well and her pediatrician wasn’t in the office so off to urgent care we went. We were greeted promptly and courteously by the receptionist who handled our check in and paperwork like a champ! The wait was much shorter than I expected, too!
One thing that put both of us at ease right away was the kind, professional, and very engaging demeanor of the staff! I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Lee! He was thorough, gave me time to ask questions and was WONDERFUL with my little girl.

«Urgent Care» is probably defined in wikipedia as a last resort, substandard medical facility. But this Urgent Care is a far cry from what you might expect.
I arrived at the facility midday with a two week old sore throat that I could not seem to get rid of. I walked into a pretty full waiting room and was prepared to be treated like cattle as you might expect based on prior experiences with similar facilities. Instead, the front desk staff warmly greeted me right away, and provided me with paperwork to complete. After providing them the documents they needed, I settled into a chair, logged into the wifi, and anticipated a very long wait.
After only about 20 minutes my name was called, and I was taken to an initial exam room by a medical assistant who took my vitals. I was then taken to my own room which was extremely clean and comfortable.
Within 5 minutes of getting into my room, Dr Toth arrived to treat me. Dr Toth was an extremely professional, warm, and caring individual. He really inspired confidence, and treated me as though I had been his patient for years. Dr Toth was even thoughtful enough to thank me for choosing their Urgent Care center.
After an initial exam, another medical assistant came in to do some quick tests. Once that assistant left, the Doctor came back with a diagnosis, care instructions, and a prescription for me. From the moment I walked in the door, to the time I left, the entire visit was less than 45 minutes.
I am so very happy that I choose this facility versus the others I’ve been to in Burbank.

In general, I’m skeptical of the health care industry as a whole. I’ve spent my entire life avoiding the doctor, hospitals, clinics, and overall bodily injury with some moderate success. I don’t have insurance and frankly, I don’t want it. That set this visit up to be a real big problem for me.
On the 4^th of July I had a lapse in judgement on how to try to console my dog and he ended up biting me in the face. (100% my fault)
I went in to BOH for a walk-​in evaluation and tetanus shot. They charged me the exorbitant office visit fee (that contributes to my overall skepticism of health care) and also informed me that there would be an additional fee for the tetanus shot.
After looking me over, the doctor prescribed antibiotics and told me that if there was any redness from my wounds that spread across my face, especially toward my eye, to come in immediately. The next morning I found a red mark crawling toward my eye, so I called BOH and they recommended that I come in. Of course, because then they can charge me again.
I voiced my concern about the need for a second visit, but wanting to keep both of my eyes in tact, I caved and made my way over there.

For my 2^nd visit, not only did Dr. Lee assure me that everything was fine, but he provided me with way more detail about the spreading discoloration around my wounds; specifically with how it relates to whether or not I should ever have to come back in for a 3^rd visit.
Upon leaving the examination room, I found that the front desk staff had recognized my concerns as a cash patient and had set up to give me a 50% reimbursement on this second office visit.
At the end of the day, Dr. Lee and the staff at BOH recognized that my 2^nd visit was caused mostly by the lack of detail that the first doctor had given me about the spreading discoloration on my face and also recognized that I was only there long enough for them to say, «that looks great, why did you come in?» The fact that they voluntarily refunded 50% of my second visit (which they had already discounted for me) will stick with me for a long time.
A health care clinic that treats humans like humans… I never thought I’d see the day.

I had a great experience this morning at this urgent care facility. Not having insurance; I have been to plenty and I have to say this was the best. Nicest staff and dr toth was very sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back if needed and will recommend this center to all my friends.

I’ve come here twice for urgent care and haven’t had any problems. The waiting room is nicer than most urgent cares, the staff is very pleasant, and both doctors have been great. It’s so nice to hear a doctor apologize for the wait and take the time out to explain things to you rather than rush around because they’re busy. My first visit, I waited no more than 30 minutes to be seen. My second I waited no more than an hour. Again, I stress that the doctors are very professional and polite. It’s rare that you’ll get a doctor that takes the time to explain things to you and give you the opportunity to ask questions, making sure you understand. This is definitely the only urgent care I’ll come to.

I will preface this review by saying, the rating I provided is ONLY for Dr. Stanford Lee, he is the only doctor I encountered while at this office, I don’t have any experience with the other doctors onsite.
When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionists were kind enough, had me check in, and I waited in the lobby for a little longer than expected (maybe 15 – 20 minutes). The waiting room was clean, had ample seating, and a TV and magazines for your leisure.
I didn’t care much for one of the female nurses when I visted the office for my appointments, she was short with me and insisted, «How was I supposed to get better if I wasn’t taking the prescribed medication?» I explained to her that I don’t run to pills whenever something goes wrong and pills don’t fix the issue anyway, they just mask it and I would rather deal with it at the source. The other nurses were nice though, I didn’t have any problems with them.
As far as the doctor goes, I really like Dr. Lee. He is caring, observant, and attentive to your concerns. He didn’t rush me back to work and wanted to do his best to provide the appropriate care. He referred me to a specialist (who turned out to be horrendous) and I went back to Dr. Lee, expressed my extreme discontent with the specialist and he immediately insisted my case be transferred to a better facility.
The workers comp lady (Rosie?) onsite was also very kind and took heed to my concerns, apologized for the bad experience I had with the specialist and ensured she wouldn’t refer anyone to him again.
I was sent to this occupational health center by my employer since it was a work injury, but I would recommend this hospital for private appointments as well. Request Dr. Lee if you can.

They put the word URDENT in Urgent Care. I went into the local Minute Clinic which had a 140 minute wait and decided to leave and try somewhere new. Drove right over to Burbank Occupational Health, filled out my new patient information, was seen right away and had my prescription sent to CVS all within 15 minutes. I would still be waiting at the Minute Clinic if I wouldn’t have found this place. All the staff is extremely friendly and caring, especially Dr. Toth!
