I would give them 5 stars but Alex was very rude to me when I called about my moms ashes being ready. Eli is very nice and kind and I wish he was there when I picked up my mom. Had to deal with Alex he is a little creepy in person as well. Very insincere. I recommend dealing with only Eli. Very affordable and overall a good place for final plans.

When my father passed away, I contacted Eli at Alpha, as dad had purchased a pre-​needs plan through them. Eli at first refused to tell the funeral director I used how much money was in dad’s account… then tried to con her into accepting a lower fee. I strongly advise having nothing to do with this company.

The Alpha Society helped my family and I back in November 2013 when my father passed away. I was referred to this place by a woman whom I work with. She had both her brother and best friend pass away and she came to The Alpha Society to cremate them. When we came back in November of 2013, we got greeted by a man named Alex. Alex took my family and I to this office and sat down with us and we told him the story on what happened to my father. He was very understanding the whole time, he was very patient with all the paperwork and calling we had to do with my other family members. The visit was fantastic. My family and I received the most wonderful customer service from Alex. He helped us tremendously. It was greatly appreciated. I do recommended this place. They know what they’re doing and they do such a wonderful job. We had my father cremated and received him a week later. Thank you Alpha Society.

My 28 year old daughter-​in-​law passed away while she and my son were visiting for this past Christmas. We contacted the Alpha Society because I have lived in Burbank for over 20 years and prefer to keep business in Burbank whenever possible. My initial conversation on the telephone was with a woman named Chuckie and she was very helpful. Before I go on, I would like to say that their prices were very reasonable.
We had an appointment with a representative who seemed to be a bit inexperienced but he did answer all of our questions and helped us set up the cremation. The coroner took a bit of time releasing the body but once they did, the Alpha Society assured us that we would have everything we needed by January 16. My son needed to leave to go back home on the 17^th because he is in the military and needed to be back. My wife spoke with the Director, Eli and he said the death certificates would not be in until the 20^th. My wife asked him if he would overnight them (my son needed them for a number of important appointments) and he assured her that he would send them overnight on the 20^th. When my wife called him on the 21^st when they were expected, he said he had sent them 3 day mail on Monday the 19^th (a federal holiday, Martin Luther King Day, where no mail is sent) and they should be there by Thursday the 22^nd. I checked with the post office and they said it was not guaranteed 3 day and they did not know when they would arrive. The papers did not arrive until 7 days later on the 26^th. If he had told my wife that he would not overnight the papers, we would have paid for it, but he did not.
I have never reviewed anything before but I felt that I needed to let people know that this was a man who did not keep his word in a time that was very difficult for our family. I can not, in good conscience, recommend The Alpha Society.

Recently my mother passed away, and after doing much research in order to find the right mortuary service, I decided on The Alpha Society in Burbank, CA. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The promises they made to me regarding the procedures that they would follow upon her death were spot on. They arrived quickly upon her passing and were incredibly sympathetic and respectful as they took care of what needed to be done. Following her death, they responded quickly to all questions and concerns we had regarding needed paperwork, etc. I want to especially thank Alejandro, for exceeding our expectations. We can’t thank you enough! Also a thank you to Taylor for all her help.

When my Mom asked to be cremated, Alpha Society helped my Mom’s last wish come true. They were informative, consoling, and polite, while still being very competitive. I called Alex late on a Friday night, and they sent all the info over by email, and I just filled it out and sent it in. They were able to get my Mom on a Sat from the hospital, which made my life easier. Alpha Society is a very professional outfit, with kind, caring people running it. They made my hard times easy, and made my Mom’s last wish a reality.

I have used Alpha for both my mom and my grandmother. I was pleased at their professionalism and helpfulness. True, they are offering services that are not, by nature, the sunniest you will ever need, but they know what they are doing and smooth the process.

My uncle recently passed away and we decided to use the Alpha Society to help us in our time of need.
The staff was exceptionally understanding, courteous, and helpful. They gave us the advice we needed and made sure that all of our paperwork was in order.
They were not pushy and didn’t try to sell us anything unnecessary. They were truly great to work with and I would recommend them to any family going through an equally complicated series of events.
