Michael Akopyan received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law. Prior to establishing the Akopyan Law Group in 2010, Mr. Akopyan practiced law at several distinguished law firms in the Los Angeles area. Mr. Akopyan has represented clients in civil and administrative trials and appeals.

Mr. Akopyan has been named to the California Rising Stars list as one of the top up-​and-​coming attorneys in California for 2012, 2013, and 2014. Mr. Akopyan has also been recognized as a Top Attorney by Pasadena Magazine for 2012, and 2013.

Attorney Akopyan may just be Los Angeles legal community’s best kept secret — at least so far — and I was glad that was the case because otherwise I may not have been able to retain his legal services when it was most needed. My experience is as such: I first retained Attorney Akopyan about four years ago, and upon the recommendation of a lawyer friend whose judgment I hold in high regard, in order to have him represent our company in a high-​stakes employment matter at an essential administrative hearing. He came across mild-​mannered yet very confident — great initial impressions and precisely the traits I look for in a good lawyer. He demonstrated excellent knowledge, intelligence and legal know-​how at that crucial proceeding and left us thoroughly impressed whereby we decided to retain him going forward on all future corporate matters. Additionally, based on my observations of the quality of lawyering from Attorney Akopyan, I have come to rely on and trust his expertise whenever I have any personal legal concerns or questions as well. Again, very glad referred to him and was able to find such competent representation — and I have my fingers crossed that he’s never too busy to help! But if you were to ask me for a recommendation for a good lawyer in town, I would have to say it would be very prudent to make that call to Attorney Akopyan. (On a side note: My experience in the legal field is sort of akin to that old adage, ‘you can pay a little now or a lot later’ — and I find him always available to address any of my concerns in a timely manner no matter how big or small that concern might appear initially.)
