The Puppy Pantry

A nice boutique store. A lot of things for our three dogs and can easily break the bank as prices are a little on the high side. However, they carry Orijen brand food and love it for the dogs. There used to be some very knowledgable employees there but haven’t seen them in a while, but the others have answers for my questions (no idea if they are guessing or actually know :). It’s ok, I go there for the Orijen not much else

I always see the store when I am about and about and stopped in to buy some dogs treats for my babies. I walked into the store and the two ladies at the counter just stared at me, no smile, hello, nothing. I walked around for a few looking at the variety of items they have and not once was I acknowledge. I finally gathered up some items and went to the register where the cashier finally asked me if I found everything okay. That was all she said, gave me my total and I walked out. It was a nice store but I will not be returning due to the customer service I received.

I stopped by here really by fluke– didn’t know they were here so checked it out for some specialty items– a new sweater, collar etc. for my spoiled pup. Pretty good selection and got me a sweater for her that she loves, a bit pricey but she likes it and Im pleased as well. Didn’t really use the staff other than check out as they did ask if they could help and I opted for the «I’m just looking around» shopper.
I have another location I faithfully use for grooming and for overnight stays so can’t comment on grooming or other but when I’m out that way and want some treats for my pup, I’ll stop by again and see what they have. Will update when I really use them and depend on them!

I went to their location across from Château Élan. I washed my dogs using the self-​service wash and was really impressed! It’s so much nicer than other self washes that I have used, and it’s the same price! They had all the supplies needed (even shampoo specifically for my dogs’ faces and a blow dryer).

Cute store for us pet lovers! Great healthy food and treat options. Self serve dog baths $ 10 and friendly service.

I can’t rave enough about this place! Melissa is the groomer there and she is amazing! I have never had someone do such an awesome grooming job on my dogs like she did. I highly recommend puppy panty whether you just need dog food or grooming everything in this place deserves a 10 star from me! A+ service. Thank you again Melissa for making my babies look beautiful.

We stopped by earlier this week to make a reservation for our dog while we are on vacation. We noted on the door that it said Sunday hours start at noon. We told the girl we would need to drop off Saturday night because we were leaving early Sunday morning. She quickly told us that they actually open at 7 am on Sunday mornings for boarding. Guess what? We went to drop our dog off this morning at 8am on the way to FL and no one was there. I have been calling them all morning. I left multiple voicemails with no response. It is now 11am and we are at home waiting to see if they open or return our calls. We had dinner reservations with friends tonight in Destin at 5pm. We have missed almost an entire day because of this. This is beyond frustrating and very unprofessional.

Update — staff arrived at 11:30. They said the employee that checked us in did not write down that we would be there early in the morning so no one came in. Apparently there were workers there but no one answered the door or phone for us. The manager told us that the owner would call us asap. It’s now Friday morning and no one has contacted us yet. 5 days later. They also informed us the puppy cams weren’t working. This was one of the main reasons we were using this facility since we have a puppy and a 6 year old child that asks to see him constantly. Again, it’s Friday and they still aren’t working. An employee did give us the login for the security cameras but it’s not as good. We looked and our 20 lb terrier is in with the «big dogs» — pit bulls, etc. I will never buy another item from this place. I cannot wait to pick up my dog.

I love shopping at The Puppy Pantry! Every time I visit their store, I’m greeted by friendly staff members who seem happy to be there. They have the absolute best selection of dog foods, toys and treats. I also love their self service dog wash. I’ve sent many a friend to visit TPP and they always thank me for sending them. This store has the wonderful service that only a family owned business can offer. I wish them all the success in the world!

Terrible experience. Unhelpful staff and unpleasant customer service. I do not feel they value their customers. Will not return to this store

I have been bringing my pup here for about a year. The groomer I use always works pt with a vet so I feel safe leaving my pampered pooch in her hands. I prefer Sunday AM appointments so I don’t have to deal with the workers/​owner (?) There is a gentleman that works there and he is always helpful and very pleasant but then there is this lady who I believe is an owner… and I always get stuck with her ringing up my items or helping me. She is RUDE, always very short with her answers, and not helpful whatsoever. If it wasn’t for her I would give this place 5 stars.

For a small boutique type pet store, Puppy Pantry carries a huge selection of high quality food, toys and treats. Many of the toys I had previously purchased online are available in store and the prices are actually competitive which was a huge surprise given the upscale feel of the shop. My puppy, who has separation anxiety (I know it sounds ridiculous…), goes to doggy daycare at Puppy Pantry three days a week. He actually goes nuts trying to get into the place in the mornings. While there is always an element of risk when putting strange dogs together in a run, I feel that the staff in the boarding area are knowledgeable and careful and keep my dog’s safety a top priority. I also love the fact that dogs who are boarded at Puppy Pantry get to play in the group runs daily at not extra cost! This has never been the case anywhere that I have used for boarding in the past. And on top of everything the price is phenomenal for the service.

Just moved to the area and was having a hard time finding Orijen dog food. Luckily, I discovered this place.
It is beautiful! I called over the phone and was helped by an extremely nice guy who had the food waiting for me by the time I got there. The prices aren’t bad at all. I was buying my dog food from a shop in Oakwood but went out of business and it turns out I was paying $ 8 more for the same bag food over there…-_–
I cannot comment on grooming or anything other than the «pantry» section which was great! Will be back

I was so excited when we discovered Puppy Pantry. We moved here from Asheville which is very dog friendly and full of pet boutiques. The first time I went in I brought my golden retriever for a special day out and was put off when nobody acknowledged her. The next time I went was for a self-​wash and I was again put off that they were annoyed that she got the store floor a little wet. I decided to give them one last try since I love supporting local business. I called 24 hours in advance to order my dog’s birthday cake and when I called to make sure it was ready the next day, they told me (after asking me to hang up and redial since they did not know how to transfer the call) that they «didn’t get around to making the cake! They didn’t give me any alternatives or other options just a «Sorry. Have a good day» That will definitely be my last trip. I hate big business but I have had way better and cheaper experiences at Petsmart.

Our family loves the Puppy Pantry. We’ve been buying our dog food here since the month they opened. They offer good quality food, treats, and toys for pets, not the food made with grains and filler, or the toys that fall apart like what you get at the typical grocery store. The staff is always friendly and eager to help, and they have both grooming services and a ‘do-​it-​yourself’ pet washing station.
They’re very conviently located at the Hamilton Mill exit off of 85 and are open late enough that you can buy your items after work on a weekday (unlike most specialty stores!). We recommend the Puppy Pantry to everyone who’s nearby, as we visit twice a month for the items our dogs need.

Loved this place every month for the last year, then today after the service was performed we find out that the groomer that our dog loved and trusted no longer works there. Then the new groomer who had a bit of an attitude then told us that the price would go up by 70% starting with the service just performed and that the previous groomer had not been charging us enough, every month, for the past year. Our dog seemed stressed, the new staff was rude, the price nearly doubled AFTER the service was performed and the service was not nearly as good as the previous groomer that they had. I will NOT be going back.

They are the only place nearby with my dogs favorite food!

After using groomers at the big box pet stores, our vet’s office, and mobile groomers… we were thrilled with the grooming experience at this shop. These people care about animals and you can see it in the way our puppy is always being cradled in the arms of one of the staff when we pick him up. He is actually eager… EAGER…to get in there when we approach the store. Will never make our little guy wait in a crate in the back again. We’re sold on The Puppy Pantry. And what they do for a dog with a white coat is astonishing!

The groomer I normally go to lives past Atlanta and it is a very far drive out so when I found The Puppy Pantry, I was really excited. When we arrived at the shop, the groomer chatted with me for a bit about my dog’s haircut.
I left and came back about 2 hours later and my dog looked pretty good. She had a bow tied at the top of her head, it was cute but once I took the bow out, her hair looked a little funny since it was a bit long. Her dew claws were not trimmed. They probably forgot since she has long hair and its hard to see… I would think they would’ve noticed when trimming her other nails. Her eyes were really red as well (prob from the shampoo, etc.)
Overall, I gave this place three stars b/​c of proximity, time and staff friendliness. It’s a very cute little boutique. The only disappointment were my dog’s untrimmed/​uncut dew claws and the long hair at the top of her head.
They also have a self-​wash for dogs which is nice. I will probably use The Puppy Pantry again in the future. But as for now, I will keep searching for another groomer.
