Taco Mac

I want to give them more stars, but they just always seem to have so many problems here. Long ticket times, wrong orders and vacant servers tend to be the norm. Just endured a 60 minute ticket time for some tacos. When they came out they were wrong. Management didn’t seem to care. Great beer selection and lots of tv’s, but it ends there.

Went in late Wednesday night. We had 9 in our party and the restaurant was unusually busy for a weekday night. It was graduation night for the schools in the area so that should have been a heads up for the staff. We were seated and our drinks were served quickly. Everything went down hill from there. It took 15 minutes or so for the waitress to come back and take our order. Twice I tried to get another server to come to our table, but she only acknowledged me and never came to the table. Waitress did finally show up and took orders. Waited 15 – 20 minutes for appetizers. Manager comes by the table and ask how are things and I tell him we have been waiting for a long time. He checks, says food is being plated and we are served 55 minutes after entering. I had lemon pepper wings that were fried wings with several ounces of lemon pepper salt at the bottom of the plate. Fries were at least 10 minutes old and too cold to eat. In short, 5 of the 9 orders were either wrong, cold or of very poor quality. Called the manager back over and explained the issue. The manager «What do you want me to do about it?» Me «Take care of the bill» Manager «I will only take the lemon pepper wings and quesadilla off» No apology. No explanation as to why the food and service were so bad. Just a very big, belligerent, intimidating man not being helpful. I paid our bill, apologized to the server and told her to bring me my change down to the penny. I felt sorry for her and did leave a small tip even though I did not believe she deserved anything. I am trying to track down the managers name and who was working that night. I will never go back unless they are fired. I will do everything I can to let as many people know about this. I will also do everything possible to make sure the manager is fired.

Had the shrimp taco. Delicious! The waiter was also very polite and helpful. He even brought out a free dessert for my son for his birthday. Two negatives: the kids menu comes with a cookie. They didn’t bring out cookies for the boys and when we asked, they said they were all out and they had no substitutes. Another negative was that we had to wait quite a bit for our food to come out.

Let me tell ya bout my bessssst friends…
They’re still hungry. Because they’re food didn’t come. I was slightly more successful. An eloquent finger salad served along with my entrée hit the spot just right. I say finger salad as I ate half of it without silverware. It seems a foreign word here but it’s that metal stuff. Slightly pointy, possibly a fork and knife wrapped in paper, that allows you to eat a salad.
I highly recommend a crown and coke. You will get a crown on the rocks… Twice. Probably three times but you would have to get 3 drinks first before they forget about you. Not complaining on that one as much.
Ever heard the saying a hot meal is a dish best served cold? Me either but I did tonight. All things cold all day everyday.
Who wants the chicken philly!!! No one ordered it but it did show up, before the food everyone did order.

Had lunch with my fiancé and the service was really good. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet. She always made sure our drinks were full and asked if we needed anything. If your in the buford area close to the mall of georgia. Come by here and see Lauren Beelen she is awesome!

Found hair in the salsa after I bit down. Guac was brown. Cancled our orders and manager comped the guac, thanks so much! (Not) Will not spend anymore money at this taco mac.

The server was nice, but clearly overwhelmed from working a double. It took a very long time to get refills for our drinks, and it took over an HOUR to get our simple 2 dishes. Yes, it’s Saturday night, but it wasn’t peak dinner time and honestly, I have never been to a restaurant where it took over an hour to get our food. My boyfriend and I lost our appetite by the time the food came out. I still ate mine though because I don’t want to waste all that money. No manager ever came to check on our table, like they do in a majority of restaurants. I work in a restaurant and it was just extremely bothersome to experience how poorly managed this place is. Again, the server was a sweet heart, but don’t schedule her a double if she can’t handle it. Poor thing looked EXHAUSTED.

They are getting 1 star only because the waitress was at least very friendly. The use of food runners in this place means when something goes wrong it goes horribly wrong.
We ordered 2 burgers (med rare), a chicken nachos dish and 10 wings. The wings came approx 15 after ordering and looked wrong but as none of anyone else’s food had been brought I didn’t even try them. After approx another 15 minutes the server came to see if we wanted more drinks and asked if something was wrong with the wings. Don’t know not eating them because we are still waiting on the rest of the food. She then asked if we wanted them put under a adorning light while we waited. No not really I like my food hot and freshly cooked !
10 minutes more go by now the manager comes apologizes and promises the food will be right out and he’ll have the wings remade fresh. Wings come back first (seemed to be microwaved) and 2 out of the 3 were wrong! 1 burger well done and wrong toppings — 1 came as a chicken philly sandwich!
Manager now offers free dessert to make up for the oops. Only problem is waitress says «no he didn’t mean one for each of you he meant only one».
I get it things happen we were enjoying the conversation and time but really? Final kicker was the to go order of wings that lacked blue cheese and celery when we got it home.
For us last visit ever this was by far the worst yet and although it had been good in the past too many other options in the area to spend my money at.

Fun night at Mall of GA Taco Mac. Our waiter, Brandon, was fabulous. He made great food and beer recommendations. Will be back and will request Brandon’s tables!

Usually come on pint night the service is always great Sam is one of the best servers I know! Management has gotten so much better and more friendlier!

100 beers on tap. Need I say more? The nachos were good as well as the honey Chipotle wings. The variety of beer was a highlight. From Chimay to Peroni, Jekyll Hop Dang Diggitty was nice. Looking forward to coming down more often to try other beers. Brad the bartender was awesome! He was very attentive and provided good suggestions.

I was here on Super Bowl Sunday, so the place was mobbed. Despite the packed house, I found a spot at the bar and was waited on promptly. Both bar tenders were spot on… when my beer was empty, they quickly took my order for the next. The manager came by and introduced himself, shook my hand, and asked what, if anything, he could bring me.
Overall, great service, cold beer, and a good time!

Food tasted like public school lunch, maybe worse. The only thing good about this «restaurant» is the staff, they were nice.

Just wanted to update my review from a couple years ago to say this is still a good sports bar, maybe you could say it’s a guys place because some of the tables are pretty messy when people leave but I based my reviews on the experience I have for the days I go and the company that is with me.
This was just boys day with me and my son on a cloudy cold Sunday and thought we would get out get some good wings a cold beer and watch some football. Their burgers are really good, we really do like their hottest spicy wings, and their Philly cheesesteak is huge and very tasty. My pictures don’t do it justice, but our service from Ryan tonight was great, the food was good, our bellies are full and we have plenty to take home for leftovers.
Since its just us guys, the noise is ok and screaming at the game is ok. The neighbors do bother me so we enjoy a good crowd. It still a great sports bar if you time it right and get in before the large line. I always get a booth, our booth was clean, and we have good views of the big screen and the smaller screens along the side. Will continue to come when we can if not just for the wings but for me, the selection of beer. Come on Thursdays for a free glass with the beer of the day!

This taco mac sits in the mall of ga parking lot. There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot can be hard to navigate if it’s busy because the lanes are narrow.
The service is usually pretty good as is the food. It’s nothing special here, typical bar food. Which is great if that’s what you want, I often come here and get wings with mac and cheese-​my favorite things to eat here.

I’m visiting my sister here in GA, and she took me here since it’s the best watering hole. I was very pleased to find a couple beers I enjoyed. I’m not much of a beer drinker, but I will gladly try anything. The bartenders seem to be a great crowd and remember their regulars, despite the massive Mall of GA across the way. There’s a club you can join with interesting perks, if you really enjoy beer. You can get your name on a little plaque and they print you a (sometimes massive in the case of my sis who has tried over 100 beers) list of all the stuff you’ve tried. I had a delicious, light Cranberry Ginger Shandy and their Shrimp and Guacamole wrap. The wrap was neat, it had fresh avocado and the salsa was not over powering. They come with some really healthy side options like broccoli or apple slices.
My small qualms were the rocking, rickety ass bar stool I sat in and a sticky bar by us. The hostess staff wasn’t so friendly, but the bartenders were a great lot.

I’m so sorry to say that this place has sold out, and lost everything that has made it wonderful!
Even the fries suck now which is just sad, because they changed everything on the menu that I loved !
The service is horrible outside the veterans that have been there like Nicolas, Brad, and Jeff!
Whenever I go there I usually bring a group of 20 people and it seems their new servers can’t even handle that! My girlfriend asked for water and 30 minutes later after reminding the server multiple times I finally had to ask the manager!
On top of that all the regulars including me have now found other places to go to! We only go to it every once in a while for old time sake!
I’m almost embarrassed to be a Professor and to have my name on the Doctorates board!
I’m not excited or happy to write such a horrible review, but it truly saddens me how they lost their unique Charm!
Goodbye Taco Mac! I guess every great mets its end eventually!

First visit here. It’s has that sports bar type of atmosphere with the high tables and chairs (booths available too), several TVs all around, and a wide variety of beers. Our waitress was great with assisted us with the common favs on the menu. We started with a appetizer– tortilla chips were fresh, queso was thick, but good. Salsa and most dressings are made in house, which is a plus. I got the pepperoni flatbread and my friend got wings. We both loved it. Wished I remembered to take a picture before we demolished everything. Definitely coming back!

Once again, I’ve had a chance to check out one of the many Taco Mac, or now «T.Mac,» locations in their vast empire of wings and exhaustive beer selections. Business as usual — slammed on a Saturday night, kids running around everywhere, sports from around the world on the many televisions, and a few birthday parties.
The food was great, per usual, and the service was great. Never anything wrong in either of those departments. My only criticisms are that of the hostess and and the general cleanliness of the restaurant.
When we walked up to the host stand with our beeper, the girl was ready to lead us to our table. I asked if we could sit in a booth so my wife could a bit more comfortable (she was 38 weeks pregnant at the time) and she paused and sighed for a moment. There were 2 booths open in the same section and her response was laden with attitude — «Well, THAT server just had two tables seated so you’ll probably have to wait. But just take your menus and sit there if you’d like.» No big deal. But hey, how about a «Sure! It may just be another few minutes for your server to get there. Is that ok, folks?»
Also, the place seemed pretty under-​staffed for a Saturday. So many un-​bussed tables and the floors were pretty grimy. It was a bit slippery on my way out through the dining area.
Still a fan, of course. This location just isn’t my favorite.

Great beer and good beer food is what I call it. This Tacomac is located within walking distance from the Mall of Georgia. This is a good place to come after you been shopping at the mall. Mostly, to have a drink to forget about the debt you just created and the money you just spent at the mall.
Their tacos are the best here. You can get chicken or beef. You can get them in hard shell or soft shell. Anyway, you get it the tacos are good because the meat is where the flavoring is at. Great tasting tacos.
