Within 100 miles of Stone Mountain elevated levels of Radon Gas are very common. Radon gas, according to the EPA & the U.S. Surgeon General, is the #1 cause of lung cancer apart from Tobacco use. An EPA approved Radon test, lasting at least 48 hours, (depending on weather conditions) using a continuous monitor that will take hourly radon readings; the monitor will average the total number of of hourly readings and will list a final radon result and an EPA average result. Readings of the EPA average of 4.0 pCl/​i and over are considered to be above the EPA action level and the EPA recommend Radon remediation. This service is offered separate from a Home Inspection.
