Legacy Lodge & Conference Center

Stayed here for a business conference. Location is undeniably lovely. Rooms were well-​appointed and clean.
I have 3 reasons that the star rating isn’t higher. 1) There were several functions happening here simultaneously, which was expected and fine. However, a couple of them had gift bags, etc. set up right as you walked into the lobby which was, well, weird. It also caused a bit of a log jam. 2) I’m not sure if housekeeping was short-​staffed, but there was trash up and down the hallway on the second floor for the entirety of my 3-​day stay. It wasn’t gross or nasty — but trash, nonetheless. 3) This was the big one for me. As I went to check out, there had been some confusion about my work paying. I was notably frustrated, though still polite. As the girl at the counter charged my personal card for the several hundred unexpected dollars, she neither apologized for the misunderstanding nor thanked me for my business. She ran my card, handed me my receipt without a word, and turned around and walked into a back room. To say that I was offended would be an understatement.

Friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Nice balcony furniture. Comfortable bedding. Nice bathroom with exhaust fan (that’s important to some people). Keurig coffee maker.
Rooms definitely need sprucing up for the price. They’re not bad, but small, no refrigerator or microwave, furniture is a little dinged up, small tv, etc… wifi is included so that’s great; however, the weather was rainy with some lightening on/​off, and it seemed service was overly sensitive an interrupted far too often. We were unable to take advantage of many of the activities offered, but certainly not their fault.
FOOD: breakfast is a glorified continental. Don’t bother for the price, and I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a room with a breakfast package unless you’re doing one that includes everything, i.e. Water park, Winter Adventure, golf cart, etc… Bullfrogs has good chicken wings. We stopped at Quicktrip on the way in to purchase waters and misc. snacks. On our second day, we ventured out to The Mall of Georgia, saw a movie, and got Longhorn to bring back.
The ice machine was broken on our level, and my son was disappointed to discover that the ice cream sandwich vending machine was broken on every level.
Visit as OK, but overpriced.

Great staff, very helpful and easy going makes you feel like a lottery winner or some rich oil tycoon lol. Great stay, wide variety for breakfast with great pool view. Rooms were nice very stayed in a villa. Going back soon right off the water.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, nice salt water pool, drink prices aren’t bad, food is good, etc. Every year my family stays here for the 4^th of July. The staff had a lot of interaction with the kids. This year we got 12 passes to the water park with our extravaganza package!

I would give 2.5 stars if I could. My husband, daughter and I stayed over Father’s Day weekend. It started out wonderful! The staff was so friendly. I liked the room– for the price it could have used some sprucing up but the bathroom was so nice and I loved the toiletries in the bathroom!
We decided to check out the salt water pool and really liked it.
We ate lunch at the bullfrog restaurant which is way overpriced and not very good. We also ate dinner there because we didn’t want to have to go anywhere. I’m guessing most people settle. The second meal was an even bigger disappointment.
The next day we wanted to check out the amenities but they were way overpriced! It’s not a matter of if you can afford something– it’s a matter of if its worth it and $ 84 plus tax to go to a waterpark my three year old couldn’t even joy is absurd! No thank you! Or hey, you could pay only $ 30 to sit on a fake beach. Ummmm no thanks. I’d rather drive 6 hours and drop $ 2k and sit on a real beach. Good thing I will be in September!
So we decided to go back to the pool. They were grilling hot dogs! How exciting until we find out they were $ 6 each. I made the mistake of buying three for my family. Took one bite and freezing cold in the middle! How do you screw up a hotdog?!! We decided to go to a local seafood place which was awful and I will be reviewing momentarily!
That night we opted for fast food which was also awful!!! The food choices are terrible!
They never cleaned our room and finally after calling twice I got some fresh towels and bring a coffee or that actually worked! The first time I called I let it ring over 50 times. This is NOT ok– ever!!!
Our final night we were awakened at 2 am by a lovely drunk female twice because she thought our room was hers. All night i heard drunk idiots screaming and slamming doors. For how expensive this place is I’d honestly think at least some of their guests would have class. But not at this joint,
I honestly don’t think I’d go back unless they were to comp our stay and food for our troubles!

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean, which was positive. The downside is the resturant options. Bullfrog is alright, but the Italian restaurant (Gillian?)that was recommended by the concierge was not what we were expecting. Note that we were expecting a nice restaurant and instead it was basically a pizza spot at the water park. I would have expected they would give us the heads up given we were all dressed up. No other options close by so you’re stuck…

I have stayed at this resort twice in the past year I’ve been highly impressed with both times I stayed here. Very friendly knowledgeable staff very clean facility very well-​maintained and groomed grounds. Nice docking area on the resort that you can pull your boat up to and leave for an extended period of time for three or four day weekends. The grounds of the resort a very big I highly recommend renting a golf cart when you book a stay at this Lodge.

Beautiful property! Spent the night here and took our kids to snowworld and to see the Christmas lights and decided to spend the night here as well.
We all had a a great time at snowwworld and driving around the property, it’s gorgeous! Our room was nice as well. Very clean and the beds were really comfortable. They have a couple of restaurants in the lodge. We ate at Windows for breakfast and their breakfast buffet had everything you can think of.
The service and th staff at the lodge were great. When we first checked in, they gave our boys a little bag filled with goodies and a smores kit. They even had a little scavenger hunt game in there and our youngest enjoyed doing it. He received a prize at the end. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Also, if you’re not from the area, there’s great shopping about 20 mins away as well as restaurants (near shopping area). It’s also about an hour drive to Atlanta if you want to go sight seeing.

Excellent location and facilities. Had the pleasure of spending a night here with my wife our anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of it.
We went ahead and made reservations with a package deal which included access to a festival and free breakfast. Other notable amenities included free shuttle around Lake Lanier, free parking, a $ 75 gift card good for the entire property at Lake Lanier including all restaurants on site and activities, mini golf, fireworks show, entrance to boat pier, a beautiful room with a gorgeous patio that goes right out to the Lake Lanier forest, and many additional benefits inside the Legacy Lodge itself (ie. heated swimming pool, fitness facility, etc.) There are bicycle rentals available as well as golf cart rentals available that you can rent per hour or for the day.
We loved the restaurant we chose as it had a wonderful patio with a great view of the Lake perfect for sunsets, and the service was very friendly and accommodating overall throughout the property.
A true gem of Georgia with fantastic value. A wonderful retreat and vacation and great way to get away from home without having to leave too far from home in Georgia.
Highly recommended! A+ and 5 Unilocal Stars for me!

Beautifully located and filled with all the amenities a vacationing family or couple could want. No need to go into all of that because if you’re staying here or potentially staying here you’ve probably already seen the website. So I’ll just go into why this gorgeous place with nice staff is not 5 stars.
The food at breakfast was fair. The oatmeal was to runny to eat on both days. The bacon was over cooked and lumped together like a Navy Chow Hall. The scrambled eggs were flat not fluffy. The potatoes lacked flavor and juice tasted like it came from a jar not fresh squeezed. The omelette station was good but not well seen so we didn’t find it until after loading a plate. The food was so plain and without flavor we ate elsewhere for the rest of our meals… unfortunately it was too much for us to do so for breakfast.
Now onto the rooms. We ordered a king bed and received two full size and the closet was in the bathroom. Now I know the staff can’t do to much about the awkward placed closet but a vacationing couple in a small bed wasn’t fun. Since my wife arrived early and accepted the room we were stuck.
If this sounds too picky then you’re forgetting this is supposed to be a five star resort, which its not. Hire a chef or at least one for the morning and get reservations right. 4 Stars.

Very nice physical location on Lake Lanier. The Lodge is nicely decorated and very clean — think Disney level of quality. The thing that really drives my positive review is the friendly and attentive staff. Every encounter over my 4 day stay with the staff elicited a positive interaction. Highly recommend for a business meeting.

Beautiful location. We had a formal company dinner party here tonight. We were in the grand ballroom and it was plenty spacious enough for our group. The food was good. A little dry but that was more our fault than theirs as we delayed the start of our dinner by about an hour from the original planned time that we gave them.
The wait staff was polite and well dressed. The complimentary valet parking was quite nice too.
The lodge itself is really gorgeous. Beautiful fireplace indoors and one outside next to the pool too. I kind of wish we had decided to stay the night and enjoy the place a little longer but it is awfully expensive. Still we may do that one day.

Great place to get away for the weekend. I really enjoyed it there.

I can’t say enough good things about Legacy Lodge. I have relied on Legacy as a destination for corporate meetings a couple of times and they have been flawless every time. Amenities are fantastic, food is great and the staff is absolutely outstanding. They will bend over backwards to ensure your meeting is a success. We have also enjoyed Legacy as a family destination. It’s only an hour away but it feels like a real getaway. So much fun for the whole family! We love it!

A very beautiful course but a little tough for me. Whenever I play really gorgeous courses for the first time, I am so mesmerized by the views that I don’t concentrate as much on my game. The 4^th hole is surrounded by water and is really nice. I pretty much threw the ball onto the green by hand at the long and water-​riddled 14^th. My husband especially loved that they offer continental breakfast before you tee off and sandwiches before the back 9, all included in the greens fee.

Very nice place for wedding!
