History

Established in 1989.

In 1989, Samuel Shatkins, D.D.S., M.D., Samuel established the Aesthetic Associates Centre for plastic surgery and dentistry in Amherst. His sons, Samuel Shatkin Jr., M. D., and Todd Ellis Shatkin, D. D. S., joined him in the practice that same year and worked with him continuously until just a few months ago when he became ill. Now his sons run the practice in honor of their father who was a plastic surgeon for more than 50 years.

Over the past twelve years, Todd E. Shatkin, DDS, has placed more than 11,000 mini dental implants.

Dr. Shatkin is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He is the President Emeritus of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants and the owner of Shatkin F.I.R.S.T., LLC, a mini dental implant specialty laboratory. Dr. Shatkin has extensively lectured internationally on mini dental implants and is well respected as a world leader on mini dental implants. He practices full time in Amherst, New York., and a suburb of Buffalo, New York.
