Established in 1976.

Established in 1976, SHIELD Security Systems was founded by former police officer, Ken Jezioro. After his house was burglarized, Ken needed an affordable company to secure his home. Since no such company existed, he founded SHIELD Security Systems. Providing premier electronic security for residential and commercial applications, SHIELD Security Systems has grown from a local company, headquartered in Buffalo, NY to a prominent national company. SHIELD provides burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, access control, video surveillance, environmental monitoring and medical alarm monitoring.

Ken J.

Business Owner

Former police officer, Ken Jezioro, started SHIELD Security Systems back in 1976, after his house was burglarized. He founded SHIELD Security Systems to provide affordable, custom, electronic security to families, homes and businesses throughout Western New York. He served the Buffalo community for 30 years while working full time on the Cheektowaga police force. As an accident investigator and certified FBI hostage negotiator, Ken brings a wealth of real — life, «street smart» experience to his company and the customers he serves. With a passion for «doing things right, Ken doesn’t «pull any punches» with his customers. He’ll recommend a system that meets thier needs using a straight forward, educational approach. Each SHIELD client understands the science behind Ken’s recommendation and, more importantly, how to properly utilize their system.
