Specialties
Inspired by the soulful cuisine of New Orleans, Shango Bistro and Wine Bar strives to awaken the senses through Chef Jim Guarino’s culinary creations, a Wine Spectator-awarded wine list 170 bottles strong, and our eclectic, carefully hand-selected beer menu. Shango embodies the spirit of a true neighborhood bistro — offering a light, fun atmosphere paired with serious food and drink.
History
Established in 2005.
Our family business has been a fixture in the neighborhood for more than fifteen years. It all started with a small menu & fabulous brunch at the beloved Coffee Bean Café (est.1995), and eventually evolved into the award-winning Shango Bistro & Wine Bar, which opened in its place in 2005.
Shango, named after the Yoruba god of thunder & lightening, has influenced the people of West Africa, the Caribbean, New Orleans, and now, Buffalo!
