Joseph’s Panini Stand

I was planning to have Charlie the Butchers food. One of the specials of the day. It was 12:10. They were out of it after I waited in line 10 min. Who is out of the specials before lunch even starts? Anyway, came across the way to this place. Which is probably where I should have started. Long line that sadly did not move too fast. Everything is made to order which is why we were waiting. But the wait was worth it.
They have paninis, soups, wraps and a salad bar done by weight. It all looked fresh and pleasant. Employees were smiling.
I had a panini on sourdough bread. Too much bread but the filling was very generous and very good. I’d order here again without hesitation.
There are tables in the large hall here so seating was easy to find.
I don’t know how long they have been here but it feels new. They take square, so all credit. Love that.

This was a nice surprise find after my friend and I decided to explore downtown on foot. It’s located in the Ellicott Building, across from Charlie the Butcher Express. I did their lunch special and got a «small» grilled vegetable wrap with a medium salad for $ 7. It was the perfect amount of food at a fair price. The veggie wrap was delicious, and almost tasted like it had Whopper sauce on it. A few vegetarian and healthy options as well as different specials. You make your salad at the salad bar and there are a ton of really great options you wouldn’t expect from a small kiosk. Eggs, garbanzo beans, cheese, mushrooms, olives, etc. Check it out if you’re in the area!
