My wife hit a large piece of concrete (it turned out to be a sectin of the curb that had broken loose) on her way home from work blowing her tire and doing extensive damage to her alloy wheel. I called a local Chevy dealer and was quoted $ 330 for a new wheel. My wife works a long way from our house and has 104k miles on her car so I hoped to find a used wheel for a reasonable amount. I decided to try and find one locally without success and was told good luck finding a used one as it was an optional wheel on her car and there just weren’t many out there. I turned to the Internet to broaden my search and thought I found a great option when I found a reconditioned wheel on HH’s web site for $ 169 with free shipping and a 30 day guarantee.
The reviews seemed positive for them (the ones that are considered «helpful» by Unilocal anyway). I went ahead and ordered on Saturday ¹¹⁄₁₅. According to the site, they would ship by noon the following business day which would have been Monday ¹¹⁄₁₇. I did not receive a tracking number by mid-​afternoon on Monday so I decided to call and was told that the wheels would ship that afternoon and I would receive a tracking number by that night or the next morning. I didn’t get the tracking number at all on Tuesday so I sent an email early Wednesday morning. When I didn’t get a response by 11:00 am I called back and was told they could not tell what happened, but would contact the warehouse manager and be sure the wheel shipped today and I would get the tracking number that night or the following morning. I did receive an email response later in the day saying that the tracking number would be sent to me as soon as possible.
On Thursday morning I still didn’t have a tracking number and emailed again. By this time my wife is really upset because she really hates driving on the compact spare and works an hour from where we live so she has been riding the bus. She calls and they tell her that the wheel that was supposed to ship on Monday did not meet their specs (I do appreciate them not sending me an inferior wheel.) and that is why it wasn’t shipped. There was no explanation for why they hadn’t shipped a different wheel yet but it should go out today. I received an email from a gentleman named Steve who says that he has been in touch with the warehouse manager’s manager and that the wheel would certainly ship that evening and I would have the tracking number (you guessed it!) that night or in the morning. (I bet you know what happens next.)
On Friday, ¹¹⁄₂₁ I still had no tracking number. I called back and again they had no idea what happened. They assured me that this is not normal for them, but did not give me any hassle about getting an immediate refund, and the customer service rep seemed sincere in his apology. That is the only reason I am giving them two stars instead of one as this turned out to be a ridiculous waste of time which ended with me buying the $ 330 wheel from the dealer which in the end I could have done a week prior and resolved the problem in one day. Shame on me for trying to save a few dollars I guess.
By the way, it turns out that most of the reviews on Unilocal that are deemed «not helpful» actually basically mirror my experience. I wish I had dug deeper and trusted the reviewers more than I trusted Unilocal.I won’t make that mistake again.

Checked the website for a wheel for the roommate’s PT Cruiser, it said «call for availability», so I called and they said they have one in stock. He told me to go ahead and order. So told the roommate and he ordered within 5 minutes of my phone call.
I then CALLED them and told them about the order and the second guy confirmed they had it in stock.
Roommate just got the canned email about how «the wheel you ordered has been scrapped. We get 1500 wheels in a day so we can either keep looking or refund your money.»
Seriously? Are you guys robbing Peter to pay Paul up there? If you don’t have the damn wheel then here’s a wild thought: put the wheel as «Out Of Stock» on your website!
Will never deal with these guys again… and will make sure everyone knows how they fail to deliver.

I ordered four new Toyota wheels — they arrived exactly on time and are perfect. I am very, very pleased and saved big $ vs. purchasing at a dealership. I am recommending this co. to friends.

Having had the great pleasure of driving through one of NY’s worst winters and the resulting moonscape left behind on the roads from plows, salt and freezing temperatures, I managed to slam into a huge hole in the road which bent my wheel… ouch.

The wheels are reconditioned — or at least mine was — which means they basically use a huge press to push it back into shape– but they also 100% guarantee that it will balance out and be as good as new. When you factor in they also give you free shipping– well it is a win-​win.
I used both their website and spoke to them directly– the guy on the phone was just great and knew about wheels in depth. I had the new wheel in 2 days and was up in running a few hours later. Perfect.
