If you are on diet but hate salad, try the Buddhism delight under vegetarians section l. The ingredients are simple: vegetables, tofu and Rice. Mann, it is so good that I couldn’t stop going there for dinner. Unlike other restaurants who just simmer the vegetables, they cook it with white sauce that is super delicious!

Great fast food! Lunch specials good but I miss the veggies. Used to have steamed broccoli in lunches… boo.

The food there is too salty and oily. The woman owner there looks always mad and not smiling. The experience is not so good there.

Your standard Chinese food taste, no bad. I like the fried dumplings and dipping sauce a lot.

The shrimp egg foo yung is delicious. The BBQ boneless spare ribs is awesome. It’s the best Chinese take out in Buffalo.

when i go to Chinese restaurants the only thing I order is the shrimp egg foo yong and shrimp fried rice. I was drawn to this place due to the pictures of the egg foo yong, and the brown gravy on Unilocal :). brown gravy is a staple when it comes to egg foo yong. it usually means that it is peanut based, which in my opinion is the best gravy for this dish. And the dish don’t disappoint. the dish came with 3 patties cooked to perfection, not to crispy and not to soft. Nice round size and plentiful, all for a low price of about ~$ 8. a steal! in addition the shrimp in the dish was large and not itty bitty! I got a side of shrimp fried rice it was very plentiful and delicious! there were no minuses with this Establishment! I’m not sure about the other items here but I would highly recommend the shrimp egg foo yong and the price can not be beat!

I’m usually skeptical about Chinese fast food restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised! China king is located in the strip mall across from Ub south campus. Their lunch special ranges from 4.85 — 5.15 depending on the meat, and is a 1.25 extra for soup. I ordered the tofu with veggies, and asked for the tofu to be steamed instead of fried, along with veggie fried rice. The employees were accommodating and friendly. The lunch was a good portion size too, and didn’t taste like it was loaded with oil. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon!

I don’t enjoy the idea of American Chinese food since I am Chinese and eat mostly authentic food. I never had until I started coming here after class at UB. I haven’t had a large variety of food here but for what I had, I thought they were just great. Szechwan chicken, chicken&eggplant, orange chicken, chicken wings&fries, spare ribs with black bean sauce, and their fish with tofu. Didn’t feel greasy or made me feel like I was going to have a heart attack. Minus the chicken wings and fries but that’s a given. I highly recommend this place if you want a cheap, filling, and delicious meal. $ 4.85 for lunch. How can anything beat that?

I like this place better than China King at Maple. The portion was very good. I ordered the Chinese menu from the white board. It was great. This is the place actually provide good Chinese food and inexpensive. I will order it here from now on.

I love it here! The rice is fried rice not yellow pilaf looking rice. Everything taste good even if I don’t care for it.

The first time I went to China King, they got my order wrong, I didn’t like the taste, and everything just tasted off to me. I went back earlier tonight and have to say that the quality and taste of the food has definitely improved. I ordered the boneless spare ribs the first time and they gave me ribs with bones. It wasn’t a big deal, it wasn’t a huge hassle — I just would rather not have any bones to deal with that’s why I ordered the boneless in the first place. Tonight was a lot better. I ordered the crab rangoon(a must for determining how good the place is tbh) and it was one of the best I ever had. Maybe even the best one actually. I also got the pineapple chicken with white rice and fried shrimp with shrimp fried rice for my boyfriend. The pineapple chicken was excellent, though it was way too saucy for my liking and made it harder to eat the longer it sat out. I’m gonna have to say, if you order one meal from here, it’ll last you for more than a day! So if you want to eat pineapple chicken for five straight meals, go here. The rice was just the right sticky-ness just the way I like it. The fried shrimp — I’ve had better. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice tasted very fresh and I liked that a lot. Overall, I’d say maybe I need to go back and try more dishes but so far, it’s a 3⁄5 for me as it seems a bit inconsistent. Sometimes it’s oh-my-god-I’m-having-a-mouthgasm amazing and other times its at an eh-i-coulda-spent-my-money-elsewhere level.

I generally love this place but the fried shrimp was not de-veined. I generally prefer all the veins removed so that a bit unappetizing for me. The food is cheap and tasty and the place is good for groups.

This is currently my go to for chinese take out. It’s reasonably priced and I’m always satisfied with the food. They have a dinner combo which comes with your choice of meat, fried rice and a pork eggroll for around $ 6. I recommend upgrading the vegetable fried rice to pork fried rice because theirs is awesome. So far I’ve tried the general tso’s, orange and sesame chicken. The menu says that orange and general tso’s are spicy, but if you really want to taste it ask for extra spicy because it comes very mild.

This is by far my favourite Chinese restaurant in the Buffalo area. I’ve yet to have a bad experience and my friends and I have been dining here for years. Aesthetically it’s not much to look at; your average Chinese place with the same random and sparse décor. Fairly clean most of the time. They offer hot, brewed tea for free which I’ve always been a fan of. Their Hunan style tofu is to die for. Crispy, plentiful and served with fresh veggies. Always piping hot and too much for me to finish. I recommend getting it ‘extra spicy’, though my tolerance for hot food is through the roof. Excellent hot & sour soup. And awesome General Tso’s chicken. I’ve yet to stray away from my faves on the menu, but I’m sure I’ll find some new ones someday.

This is without a doubt my favorite Chinese restaurant in Buffalo. I always get the same thing off the ‘authentic’ menu. I get the fish with garlic sauce and substitute mushrooms for green bell peppers. The quality never varies. I’ve been coming here since my freshman year of college, 6 years later after trying half the menu, I’m still impressed. I won’t say they know me by name there but as soon as I say«fish with…» They know the rest of my order.

Great food! Finally a good Chinese restaurant where all the dishes aren’t sweet! Only negative aspect would be the people behind the counter. Too rude and miserly over the teeniest thing even if it’s a paper napkin or an extra plate. The guy behind the counter told me he can’t give me an extra plate as he already gave me the exact number of plates! OMG! I actually stared at him stunned!!!

China King with 3.50 lunch specials beat any fast food restuarants surrounding UB South Campus in a walking distance. The food is good, but not great. Again is only 3.50 with chinese rice that beat french fries or pizza anyday. In conclusion, I give four stars becauuse this restaurant serve the goal of providing for a place to eat for the buddget minded students and general public.

My husband and I are in Buffalo every year and we are lucky to stumble on to China King. We have only ordered from the menu on the wall. I think the dishes on the poster on the wall are the more authentic. This time we had fried fish filet with tofu, salt baked chicken wings, salt baked pork chops. All served over rice. Very inexpensive. I particularly enjoyed the fish with tofu. Very fresh ingredients and tasty food.
