3 stars. Don’t get me wrong this place was nice, solid home cook food but nothing amazing. Sandwiches are HUGE! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it tasty, but abit dry. Ordered the Sweet n’ Spicy chili. Good chili. but no spicy factor at all. The bad? Prices aren’t exactly cheap but you do get alot of food. Once we ordered our food, the entire staff went outside for a smoke break. Standing right by the front door in their aprons. Com’On guys, not exactly appealing for customers. I’d go back, because it was solid café food. For the reviews giving this 5 stars, where else you people eating?

B.J.‘s Deli has quality food. This isn’t one of those restaurants that you would see on Restaurant Makeover. It has fresh homemade food with quality ingredients and clean environment. I ordered the special which was a half egg salad sandwich and a cup of chili. The egg salad sandwich was delicious. The lettuce was crisp and the bread was soft. The egg salad had a nice subtle seasoning to it. The chili came with shredded cheese, sour cream and green onions. It had a pleasant spice to it and tasted very fresh. I went around noon on a Friday and had to wait about 10 minutes before I was able to order but the meal was prepared by the time I was finished paying.

The sandwich I ordered was good, but nothing amazing. It’s something I definitely could have just made at home and it would have been the same quality. What I do like about this place, however, is the outdoor seating! It’s such a nice, quiet place downtown to sit outside and have lunch.

Bj’s never disappoints. I like the half sandwich and soups. Just enough to feel full and priced right. Every item on the menu, right down to the potato chips are the best offered in Buffalo.

We both ordered the half sandwich and cup of soup deal (Great value for your money). We had the sandwich of the day, a hot roast beef sandwich, that was served on delicious sourdough bread packed with juicy meat and a slice of swiss cheese. All in all it was very good.
The soup was french onion soup which unfortunately was served just warm and instead of a toasted slice of baguette they threw in garlic croutons. The cheese, sparse in my opinion, was pre-​shredded swiss cheese which has an off flavor.
Still, for a small town restaurant, it was a good clean spot to stop at. I would probably recommend you just order a sandwich, although one of the patrons there said the cold pasta dish with cranberries in it was her favorite item on the menu and went out of her way to order it when she was in town.

You’re greeted with a garden out front full of flowers and edible plants during the summer, and ice sculptures in the winter. Great setting for their outdoor dining.
The food was over the top with quality and flavor.
Hidden at the bottom of the display is a half sandwich and cup of soup. Both were excellent and a great value — turkey on sour dough (it’s not San Francisco quality bread, but very good) and tortilla soup that was excellent and freshly made.
This is not on the typical path for many, but worth a stop.

Not the best. My daughter and I ordered a salad and we received a little packet of salad dressing, not tasty and full of chemicals. I was hoping for a more home cooked approach.

BJ’s offers a great menu. I’m a fan of building my own wrap or sandwich, but there are a number of specialty items too. Great fresh food. They also have a huge patio out front for spring/​summer dining. If you’re only going to check out one place to eat in Buffalo, I would recommend BJ’s Deli first.

My sister had her wedding reception over the weekend in Buffalo, MN, and as my aunts and uncle were eating, they just kept talking about this amazing looking sandwich that they saw in town and how we had to hurry up and leave by 7:30 to order the sandwich.
OMG, wow, what a sandwich… it’s called the Abbodonza (Abundance), BJ’s dream sandwich: turkey, ham, salami, swiss cheese, tomato, sliced egg, bermuda onion and fresh spinach layered between crepes with light mayonnaise and topped iwth Parmesan cheese. Served with kettle chips and a pickle –all for $ 7.99!!! Check out the pics. Crazy, huh? I almost didn’t want to eat the sandwich and just frame it on the wall. There was difficulty eating the sandwich… nonetheless, not bad!
And while you’re there, another must is BJ’s Kahlua Chocolate Chip Cake –HEAVEN! The pies look amazing too. Oh, man, I just want to go back and eat everything…

i came across this place because my band was on tour in buffalo and our catering deal was at this place.
definitely a great sandwich place! the veggie sandwich was amazing. the whole grain bread was tasty and they didn’t skip out on any of the ingredients at all. the half sandwich was more than enough to fill me up. everything was fresh. i also had the vegetable soup which was really good.
the staff was very friendly, great food, veggie/​vegan options, everything was great. the only thing i cannot comment on was how fair the pricing was. it was paid for for me and i didn’t really pay attention to the marked prices. if i am ever back in buffalo, i am coming back to BJ’s
