Having grown up on the East Coast where this ride was a standard for state and local fairs every summer, I was thrilled to find a Scrambler at Knott’s. The four stars isn’t because of the ride itself, which was perfect and everything I remember! The issue was ride management — only one employee was working, and since he has to personally check the locking mechanism for each car, this meant a loooooong wait.

This is a great ride that whips you around and smooshes you against your riding parter. I love it because my 2 year old can go on it(over 36″). This reminds me of the carnival rides I grew up with. I actually prefer them to the new roller coasters, but I tend to be old-school. There was zero line early in the morning. I did get too dizzy to ride twice in a row, unlike my son and hubby.

This is a classic carnival ride… one of my all time favorites. Even my two year howls like a banshee with delight on this ride. It’s located on the Boardwalk section of Knott’s Berry Farm. It’s that ride that has four arms that holds four different benches, which can hold up to 3 riders. When the ride starts, it goes side to side in a circular motion. The person in the outer most position should be the biggest person because they will get squished. It’s a long enough ride to be worth the stay in line. Camp Snoopy has a version of this for the little ones, but mine loves this one more!!!
