Not going back. The fish portions are tiny on the sushi its mostly rice and imitation crab. They have somewhat. lower prices but its still not worth it you get so little. What bothered me was they didnt accept credit cards if your order is under $ 15. My order was $ 12 so I ended up ordering another roll which came out to $ 17 for some crappy rolls. For that amount I’ll just go to a real sushi bar from now on.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. Food was okay, run-of-the-mill teriyaki chicken and bulgogi was just so-so. Nice presentation in a box. When I went to pay with my credit card, the waiter told me they couldn’t take a card for under $ 15. My lunch was $ 10. Not cheap. I don’t carry cash, so I had to walk down to the 7-Eleven and pay a three dollar service charge to bring them cash. I told the waiter and the man behind the counter I will never come back again. This is totally inappropriate customer service in this day and age. Sad that this very average little restaurant is so cluless. The bathroom was dirty and the place has not much going for it. They lost a customer.

I love this place — been going here for a few years now. The stinky roll is so delicious. The prices are really good and the fish is always fresh. Seating is pretty scarce and no saki, but it’s definitely worth a quick meal if you’re a sushi lover.

I usually frequent this place during lunch time. Close to work, and reasonable price on CA rolls when I need my fix. Located in a strip mall, which has a terrible parking situation. I get my nails done next door, so I’m use to it. The place is small, but the young man is always very attentive. I like getting 8CA rolls for $ 4.00, and get my soda fix at the 7 – 11 which is in the same mall strip. This is great for lunch, call ahead and it will be ready.

Unilocal Challenge 201510⁄365 *updated* Our spot in the middle of Cerritos St Our spot When we want to eat so late Our spot Order at least 2 plates Our spot in the middle of Cerritos St A teeny tiny little sushi house located at Valley View and Cerritos in the same plaza as 711 offering inexpensive sushi rolls and bowls and a few other edible treats with good and speedy service Monday thru Saturdays in Cypress. And its open past my bedtime. Which is the hour we usually come. Known for their take out, but they have a small sushi bar with about 5 – 6 seats and a few tables. Parking is not so great if you go when the surrounding shops are open. Im not big on sushi, but Im big on bowls. Bogolgi, Katsu and Chicken all served here hanging out with a Cali roll in a bowl of Cal Rose rice. Veggies are optional. Bowls are good, but out of the 3, bulgogi is my favorite. Their tempura is light and tastey a perfect complement to a bowl. My late night date always orders the sushi. On a good night he orders 4 rolls. If hes hungry make that 6. Rolls are inexpensive at just under $ 4.00 each. They are cheaper earlier in the day. They are nothing fancy, just inexpensive which satisfies our wallet. He says they are A — okay. Service is always wonderful over the past few years. The owner gets to know his regulars, and knows what they like and dont like. And they know what you dont like before you even remember what you dont like. Sometimes I forget to omit an ingredient, but the owner remembers for me. 3.5−4 Star food. 5 star service and pricing. Dinner for 2 is usually about $ 25.00. Such a deal. Drinks include hot green tea, canned sodas/teas, water, ect. For desert they have a banana tempura which is good. Im a fan!!! If your on a budget and looking for a local spot, then yeah. If your a sushi snob, and like $ 10 rolls then no. *updated review*

Rolls are only $ 3! It’s incomparable to Japanese cuisine, but for the price it’s so worth it! Great service as well :)

I stopped in here last night and was pleasantly surprised. The food wasn’t half bad for the price. We had the baked lobster and hot night rolls and they were delicious. I will definitely be ordering those again. The only downside to this place is the size, they only had 4 or 5 tables which could accommodate 4 at each table. The staff was nice and we received our food very quickly. My boyfriend loves this place so I’m sure I will be back.

You will not get high quality sushi here. So don’t come here expecting some 5 star sushi or food. I only go here because it’s cheap and they have lots of deals/price cuts throughout the day. I go here to just get a quick sushi fix :) It’s not horrible but it’s def not amazing. The quality of service is never consistent. Sometimes they’re cranky and sometimes their nice. Quick service though! super stingy on their wasabi and ginger though. so ironic because of the NAME of the restaurant. but it’s okay. I just keep asking for it :)

Went there at 845 on a Saturday when they close at 9… I know were jerks, but they accomadated us and quickly =) the shrimp crumch roll was good, alittle blan but it was 3.00 definitely worth the price. I totally liked the popcorn lobster roll and my fiancé loved the baby lobster roll. We got 4 rolls a drink and a water all for 17.55! They were good on the refills, very pleasant and comfortable setting and friendly staff. Super clean. New quick sushi spot. Afraid I may become a regular.

I really love this place. My boyfriend and I agree that this is the best sushi place we have been to. It is cheap and delicious! Plus one of the guys there automatically knows my order which is always a plus. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because they always change their store hours. Like some days they close earlier than the sign says. It’s so annoying! I have gone twice and it was closed when it should have been open! It wouldn’t be so annoying if I were to live close by but I drive 2 cities over to go to this place. The least they can do is stay true to their store hours.

Lowbrow sushi that satisfies the urge if you don’t wanna drive far(for me it’s one block away) or don’t wanna pay too much. I like the idea of four pieces for rolls but the quality is mid range. Eel in eel avocado roll was limp and tiny… I’m used to crispy and a little warm. Tempura items had a bitter taste, like it was over cooked or their oil was old. All fried items were too dark in color and bitter tasting. The guy that made our sushi was also spending his downtime texting on his phone, not sure if hand washing was happening in between that and food prep. I might be back if I’m having an insatiable urge but not too often and just for a snack.

2nd time here and the value is not bad. The salmon, and beefy short ribs were pretty good but stay away from teriyaki beef(tough and taste like cardboard). Not bad for a lunch spot but don’t expect too much.

Decent quality and pretty fast service. I usually stop by here for takeout because it’s very close to my work. It’s not the best(nor the worst) Japanese food in the area, but I comeback time and time again due to reasonable prices and speedy food service.

For low priced sushi this place is pretty decent. Firstly, it is not meant for large groups. Mostly groups smaller than 4 and if it’s a group of 5 the sushi bar might be available Gave 3 stars because the food itself taste good for the price but the service could use some work. I’ve been in there twice where the workers kept tapping on the sushi bar while we were eating. Felt like they were waiting for us to leave. When we brought in the large group(6 people), they wouldn’t let us move the tables together. That’s reasonable but the manager made us feel like an inconvenience for him for having a large group. We just wanted to sit together. They also aren’t that great at refilling drinks. And they always take away the menu right after ordering. Which is weird for a sushi place since many people continue ordering rolls sometimes. Overall though at least the food is good for the price and was good enough to convince my friend to like sushi when she wasn’t a fan before.

Closest decent spot to my house, always come here when I’m craving sushi and quick service. The food is good, I alwayssss get the house salad! It has the imitation crab meat that’s in sushi rolls, my favorite! Only thing I’m iffy about is the extra cold rice on the rolls :/they do sometimes use too much rice and I end up taking a lot of it off. Other than that, still love this place and keep goin back!

Beef overcooked but sauce is not overly sweet, good! salad not fresh enough, rice a lil bit sticky side(rolls should be using same kind of rice), tempura is good and well done. Overall it’s a lunch place u cannot ask for too much… Price higher consider food served :/

This place is amazing! I can’t believe I just walked out of Ginger N Wasabi with a ton of food for only $ 15! I got: –Chicken teriyaki bowl with 4 piece California roll($ 4.99) –4 piece Alaskan roll($ 3.30) –4 piece Baby lobster roll($ 3.30) –House crab salad($ 2.99) It was all really good– not crazy good, but what do you expect at this price? Everything was fresh, not fishy and quick! The only thing that was annoying is that they don’t have a website with their menu on it. I had to read the menu, order and sit there. Not a big deal, it just would have been nice to be able to have phoned the order in and have it be ready when I got there… first world problems! PICTURESOFTHE ***MENU*** BELOWANDINMAINPHOTOGALLERY
