Started Jujitsu here 1 year ½ ago, life changing best way to put it. Awesome coaches super passionate about the art. Great vibes!

Love it here, very approachable. Expect to sweat buckets. As far as fundamentals, I say start Monday, Arthur’s class is incredibly intense, great conditioning exercises, and very VERY respectful and inviting to me, the new guy. Then, go Wednesday the same week. You’ll realize that Adam’s class will very much focus on technique. Doesn’t matter if your a fresh white belt or a blue belt, his drills are necessity. I highly suggest bringing water and a towel, it wouldn’t hurt to bring a mouthpiece and a cup too… You never know, and that’s why I enjoy training here!

Awesome classes taugth here! The coaches here do give u quality teaching. Highly recommend to check it out for urself!

This place is legit! Great techniques and a lot of rolling. All the people involved with 10^th Planet are friendly and are here to work hard. I’ve been to a few other school and what I found sets this school apart is how knowledgable and friendly everyone is here. Don’t take my word for it… check it out.

martial arts is a lifestyle not a one day change of life so while you read this know this is after my second day and I have never rolled before but I did my research about 10^th planet, Eddie B, and a little research about buena park specifically. I love the discipline, the hard work the competitive family vibe (how everyone wants you to get better). the gym is super clean, students and coaches/​instructors clean up, the music is bumpin and the sweat is a dumpin. if you’re a fast learner there is always someone there to push you in the right direction, if you are a slower learner the instructor will put in the effort to get you to where you are willing to go. I love that you constantly hear jokes and see people smiling until you hear the grunts the yells and you wont see a smile in the place because you’re working too damn hard!
so far I’m learning fundamentals which are completely necessary to effectively communicate (verbal and body language) in the 10p system. I expect I will write another review in 3 months then 6 then a year… pics to come soon.

Andy Ron and Casey are legit fellas. They’re great at teaching people like me, who arent familiar with MMA, the right technique and help challenge me to get better. They’re hands on approach has helped me get better quicker than if they just told me what to do. I’d highly recommend 10^th Planet! From day one 10^th Planet Bp has been a true blessing in my life. Coach Ron, Casey and Andy instantly became like family. I’ve never been to a gym, business or establishment where the owners are sooo invested in their students! These guys put there heart and soul into making every single person a better jj practitioner and person in life. I’ve learned so much about myself in the time i’ve been here. I’ve been here almost two years and never seen the coaches miss an event or tournament, they always stand by their students. Whether it’s a UFC event or a white belt tournament they are always there to support and encourage every single student!
Not only do they love their students, but they look out for everyone around them. They are just stand up people. I’ve seen our coaches taking care of other fighters that were left alone by their own team after a loss just because it’s the right thing to do! Words can’t describe the professionalism, passion and knowledge that our coaches display. and the awesome thing is that it rubs off on all of us!
Great atmosphere with no egos… its a family here and words and reviews cannot describe this gym… its something you have to get up and see for yourself… and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

If you live in Orange county or close by, 10^th Planet is the best place to train. The coaching staff is awesome. Casey, Ron, and Andy have developed a program that can help anyone become better at whatever they are trying to accomplish. Even if you’re an average person just looking to get active or a season fighter looking to become a world champion this is the place to be at. The price is very affordable and the first class is free if you want just try it out and see if this place is what you are looking for. Another great benefit in joining 10^th Planet Buena Park is that you also get access to 10^th Planet Costa Mesa which has been training and breeding great competitors for a number of years now. Check out their schedules and do the math, you can actually train seven days a week with some great coaches and great training partners. Do yourself a favor and come and check this place out. Every one is welcome and like I said before first class is free. They also have a great kids program for those of you that have kids and are trying to get them started on a sport or martial art.

This place is awesome a lot of cool people coach Casey and Ron where very welcoming when I had joined 10^th planet costa mesa. If you are in the area and looking for some technical ground techniques this is the place you want to be. This is an outstanding training gym that is ran by consummate professionals. Coach Ron, Casey, and Andy are passionate about the sport and really create that team environment. It really reflects in the quality of student that BP/​CM produces. Matt ties it all together by making sure everyone is on the same page and building a strong learning foundation. I have never been into contact sports before, nor have I ever done any form of martial arts but I gave it a try for the self-​defense aspect. I chose Jiu-​Jitsu at the 10^th Planet gyms because a friend recommended it to me and I could not be more satisfied and fulfilled! I honestly feel like I gained a family, everyone is so motivating and encouraging! They are helpful and want nothing but the best for everyone who trains; they are also very tough and I get a great workout as well! Hands down I love this place!!!

Friends and family. That’s the vibe you get when you walk in and start talking to people here. Everyone is super friendly and down to earth and incredibly cool. And on top of everything else you get to learn the most effective martial art. period. It’s definitely not easy but the reward is 100x greater what you put in, you learn things about yourself, how far you can go, not just in jiu jitsu, but in life and you gain a big ol’ family. If you’re even thinking about joining or starting jiu jitsu, just do it, you’ll kick your own ass wishing you started sooner.

«The best time to start Jiu jitsu was yesterday.» That’s the last thing coach Casey said to me over the phone approximately 4 – 5 months before I actually sacked up, came in, and tried 10^th Planet Jiu jitsu for the first time. I was quickly kicking myself for not having gotten in there sooner!
I had tried Jiu jitsu before at a few different schools and for various reasons either myself or the school just weren’t a good «fit.»
When I finally stepped into 10^th planet I was greeted by students from all walks of life who shared a common interest, Jiu jitsu. Instantly, I was treated like a member of the team.
The welcoming atmosphere and the solid instruction from all of the coaches let me know immediately that I had found a home both at 10^th planet Buena Park and 10^th Planet Costa Mesa.
Coach Casey was my first point of contact with the school, we spoke on the phone and we established a good first class for me to try. Later, he worked around my schedule, and met with me on his own time outside of class, and helped me establish both short term and long term goals for my future in Jiu jitsu. I have never had another Jiu jitsu instructor take that kind of time with me.
Coach Ron Turner was immediately welcoming to me and gives very clear and patient instruction to a beginner like me. I find that after seeing him teach a technique a few times things «click» pretty quickly for me. He also does a very good job explaining how certain techniques are better or more applicable in a self defense setting versus at a competition.
Coach Andy was the first instructor I had the privilege of training with. He has some pretty epic wrestling, his classes are high energy, and he explains things very clearly and concisely. I checked my ego at the door and it was after his class that I knew I was hooked!
Coach Matt teaches the fundamentals classes both at Buena Park and Costa Mesa. If you are new like me or want to refresh the basics, do yourself a favor, attend his class and DRILL DRILL DRILL! I try to attend as many of his fundamentals classes that I possibly can and I feel guilty when I can’t! Don’t miss out on an opportunity to develop a solid foundation.
Like I said, I’m new, but It’s hard to quantify what jiu jitsu (specifically 10^th planet) has already done for my life. My stress levels are down, I’m happier, even my personal relationships are better, and I found out that I have abs!
They made a student for life outta me as long as my body cooperates; however I fully intend on being a part of 10^th planet till the wheels come off.

Been training off and on for the past 8 years and have been to multiple schools. The thing that sets this school apart from the rest is the fact that it is a family more than just an hour or two of training. I will alway cherish the men and women I train with here and at 10^th planet costa mesa because they make me a better person. Do you need to be a better person?

10^th planet is truly the place to go if you want to train jiujitsu. If you’re a mega-​beginner like I was when I arrived, they show you everything you need to know. No judgements.
The coaches are serious about training to win, whether that means winning world tournaments, winning local matches, or winning over your own feeble body and mind. They work with everyone where they’re at, challenge us, and set goals for us to smash.
Physical conditioning and technique are very important foundations here. There are classes that meet every level, from white belt to red belt, they have something for everyone. They even have fundamentals classes on Mondays and Wednesdays that will whip you into shape– lots of core work and nonstop action.
If you want a place where you can train no gi, no problem, this is an Eddie Bravo technique school where no gi is no problem! Expect to learn world class technique from all over the map, because these guys hand select trainers to broaden the spectrum of drills and techniques.

Very often, what we most feel like doing is not what would help us the most. So if you’re having low energy — you often feel like hanging out at home, while getting out and doing something actually would be more helpful. The same thing goes for feeling uninspired — we often don’t feel like doing anything. So whatever it is you want to be doing right now — try experimenting with doing the opposite. Sometimes doing something you’ve never done before will excite and ignite you like nothing else.
At A beginner level I felt blessed, that I found 10^th Planet /​BP, they made me feel very welcomed and part of a great growing family. There coaching skills are great and they are very passionate on wanting students to grow and build awesome fundamentals to pass on to new students .
