These jokers keep sending me a bill. I don’t get it. Leave me alone. I never had your service

Every time, we have problems, they fixed our problems right away within 2 days. They came to our house and fixed the problem after 5 minutes. We are very happy about their fast and friendly service. They are always there to response whenever we need help. I would recommend Texas Wireless Internet.

You cannot compare rural internet service to Google Fiber or Verizon Fios or other hardwired services. If you can get a hardwired service — by all means get it. But for the thousands of people who live in rural or semi-rural central Texas, wireless internet is one of the few options available. Finding a good provider is really important and Texas Wireless Internet is the best. Best on price, best on speed and best on service. I was reluctant to write this review because all wireless systems have a fixed capacity and can get overwhelmed by too many users. And this company is so much better than all the others that I can see everyone trying to switch! If I have a problem I call their number and leave a message. Someone(usually Jason who is great) gets back to me the same day and they are helpful and interested. I get slightly faster speeds at half the price of the nearest competitor. Overall I highly recommend this service.

I live near Wimberley, but not in an area with Time Warner. My choices are few and far between. Texas Wireless would be my last choice were it not for the fact that they are cheaper than my other decent option. I’m paying for two mg download and just barely actually get one. And when there is an issue, the only thing you reach by phone is an answering machine. While«my call is very important to them», it pretty rare that you actually get a call back any time soon. One time I called because my Internet was out, went through all the hoops they make you jump through to test the system for them, and did determine that it was a problem that they would have to resolve. Three days later, after more calls to the answering machine, I did get a call back only to find that somehow, the call previously had never made it anywhere, and nobody had been scheduled to make the repair. I’m done. Yes, it’s going to cost me more, but I think I’m about to switch to TexasData.

I have been a customer with Texas Wireless Internet for several years and have been very satisfied with their service. When there was a problem, Brian and Jason took care of it for me quickly. Infact, I had a problem nearly a month ago and spent nearly an hour on the phone with Jason getting«schooled» in diagnosing symptoms to see what the problem can be. In my case it was a bad router. So I got a new one, gave them a call and Jason helped me out. He really cares about his customers and it shows in everything he does for people. I am very grateful for all their help and will continue to use their service.

I’ve been a customer for over 4 years and cancelled my service today. I have never received the advertised speeds, but live in the country and was willing to get by. The current problem has been ongoing since Memorial weekend 2015. I have had NO Internet connection from dusk until dawn. Every night. I’ve done everything their technicians have suggested with no success(including replacing my router for $ 150). I’ve been told that the tower I use is solar powered, and then told by another tech that was untrue. I’ve been told that there are«hundreds of pages» of modifications that could be made to alter my service, and that we just had to find the right one. I’ve called many times, the last two calls have not been returned. I can get faster speeds at a similar price using 4G. I’m tired of the hassle of dealing with these people.

Terrible service and provider doesn’t seem harsh enough. They don’t provide the service speed they sell you, their system doesn’t have the bandwidth so you can expect to loose service from 3-midnight, they can’t seem to answer their phones or return calls, they even struggle to keep up with billing(I just received my April bill, it’s August!!!). We chose this route because the unlimited usage, turns out it’s unlimited because you can’t use it enough to make it worth regulating. Please save yourself the irritation and go with a big name wireless provider and just spend the money on a hotspot! Giving a 1 star rating is generous it wasn’t even earned!

Apart from Jason(service tech), this internet«service provider» is wholly lacking, at best. I expect that they are aware of the limited options re isp in rural Hays county, and — with little competition — feel no compulsion to provide quality service. When/if ever viable options exist, I would advise that you choose those over TWI. Update 03.24.2016: Hard to fathom, but, TWI«service» has actually gotten worse.

I tried Texas Wireless for 6 months. I root for the small company and under-dog. However, after a storm, my service was out for weeks with no real service trying to fix the problem. As a result, I had to move on. When it worked, my speed ran about 1 to 3 mb per/sec depending on traffic which cost me $ 55. per/month in the Buda area.

Customer for 6+ years I canceled the service today. They advertise data transmission speeds that the service never lives up to. I can only guess that they have added significant customer load to their network over time and have failed to invest in their infrastructure. I have been paying for the 4Mbps service and regularly see speeds between 0.5−1Mbps. I figured they could consistently deliver 1Mbps so I lowered my plan to that level and now consistently see speeds below .25Mbps. In my particular area they are the only broadband provider that isn’t cellular or satelite based. Neither of those are good choices and are significantly more expensive but I can’t contiue to pay monthly for a service that is unusable. Its too bad, I would like to be able to support a small, locally owned business but at this point I feel like I am being ripped off.

Cancelled service with this company about a year ago. I continue to receive monthly invoiced. For a few months after cancellation, invoices were sent, but were then quickly zeroed out(after I contacted them of course as nothing they do is proactive). For the last several months; however, I am getting invoiced with balanced due. I complain every month, but the last three months they have been completely radio-silent. Last contact they made was in August. I was sent this email from Matt… Hi Kim ‚ I’m sorry for the inconvenience i have zeroed out the outstanding bills and rescheduled the equipment pickup but unfortunately I do not have anyone that can get by there today. I can have someone there on Saturday the 23. I have attached a PDF file showing that the bill has been taken care off. Thanks, Matt Customer Support Agent 512−524−6363 Did anyone show or even call? Not. I’m beyond frustrated with this company. Buyers beware. Yes they can give you internet access if you are absolutely between a rock and a hard place, but if customer service is important to you, then keep on looking. I could not be a more accommodating person — most of the time to a fault, but this has gone on too long. Just ridiculous. Internet reviews aren’t my thing, but I am doing this as a last ditch effort to get what I deserve. Being taken out of their billing system would be a giant leap! I’d even accept the ugly roof ornament if they’d just do that! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Please read both of my reviews followed by the negative reviews that Unilocal filters out as they are important. Sometimes, customers who cancel and only write a few reviews a year are subject to additional scrutiny. So, we canceled Texas Wireless Internet after AT&T offered to double our data for the same price. And, it didn’t end there. Today, the actual owner Brian showed up at my home to take down my antenna. Driving an jacked up 4X4 Dodge that I’m sure none of his employees could afford. I was told an appointment would be scheduled to obtain my equipment; yeah NO instead Brian calling from my entrance asking for admittance without prior notice. Here is what you can actually expect if you choose TWI as your internet provider: Terrible download and upload speeds even at the highest consumer tier Horrible customer service(Jason excluded) Brian — Oblivious on providing stellar service and refuses to spend $$‘s on upgrades Brian the owner mind you took the tower down in about ten minutes; threw it the back of his near $ 50k+ truck ALONG with ten other cancellations this week and headed for the gate. Wiring left ALL along the southern fascia of my home with his retort that some future renter might be interested in TWI. We own this 7 year old almost trashy trailer house along with the jacked up Jeep, bad to the bone Mazda Miata rolling on 20’s, Chevy Silverado, and a Pontiac Vibe that is Mrs. Rooster’s daily driver in the driveway. Pfft We have no trouble paying our bill which TWI has asked for info on many times in our tenure. The wife set up an automatic paypal event that even in the end TWI asked us to prove from previous years. Brian, if you can’t get your billing in order even with an automatic payment hitting your bank account every month… you’ve got problems bro. If I were to fancy myself owning an internet provider my thoughts would be excellent customer service followed by a guarantee I could deliver said benchmarks. Up to 4mps is realistically .50 on download on a good day. Upload, yeah don’t ask. Tomorrow, I’m getting a caulk gun and removing the sad memories that TWI provided. Upgrade your wireless internet plan; leave Texas Wireless Internet in your dust!

I have been a TWI user for several years, ONLY and I emphasize that word, because I do not have a choice. They have not upgraded in our area(Dripping Springs) at all. Downloads are slow and forget watching anything streaming. If there was another choice I would take it a heartbeat. They have unlimited data but what good does it do?

I currently have Texas Wireless for my internet provider, and it is SLOW. I pretty consistently get download speeds in the 500k range, and latency can be so bad that certain pages like Facebook won’t even load, they just time out. Unfortunately, the options out here are VERY limited. The guy from the company calls me back eventually, and he always sounds like he wants to help, but it never gets any better, and actually just gets worse. I would suggest looking for another option.
