We visited LDA last night and got a batting lesson from Tyler. These guys are knowledgeable, thoughtful and patient with the kids. They started with the grip, distance from the plate, stance width… the very basics — which is EXACTLY what the Dr. ordered.
This IS impressive facility with everal batting cages, pitching machines, real mounds AND a machine that pitches from 30 – 60 MPH = which is just right for YOUR Little Leaguer. The cages are indoors, well lit, and high-​tech! They give lessions on throwing, fielding, catching, pitching, batting = the WHOLE enchilada (well, this is primarily a restaurant review site — so I could not resist).
Since my kid is 10… AND and I can’t get a pitch over the plate if my life depended on it… this is a great option to help him groove his swing. Lots of high-​quality drills and pitches are what the Dr. ordered — because I am NOT the one (I can-​NOT afford to hurt my ‘drinkin’ arm’ before the weekend!).
If you want your son/​daughter to get some great coaching from the pros at reasonable prices… they are only a short drive to Butiful BUda from the dirrrty south side of Austin. Batter-​UP!
