Comfort Suites Buda – Austin South

Really nice room, nice lobby and friendly receptionist as well. Only problem was I chose this hotel because of the indoor pool/​spa, which was small (not so clean), and cold, so there was no point in using it. Otherwise, everything seemed alright.

Was very pleased with everything. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and the room was extremely comfortable. Perfect place to hangout and watch football while the kids played pool in the lobby.

My room looked nice from the outside coming in, but its not clean. The soaps look as if it has been there for a while. I can tell they didn’t clean… found 2 hairs. While i was working i got hit by a flying roach. So grossed out. Never again will i stay here.

It has a very comfortable plush bed with the options of firm or soft plush pillows. Laundry room is available. There’s a «bar» at the hotel and they advertised Happy Hour specials. The fitness area, pool, and hot tub were clean. No towels were available at the pool so I had to ask for them. Nothing extra special about this place aside from friendly staff and a clean room. I do advise the hotel to update its information book, especially about the town of Buda (what restaurants it has and local shopping places, etc.). I also advise them to make signs to show how to get to the hotel… it’s a little tricky getting to it as the road leading to it is a little hidden. If you’re looking for a place to stay that is not too terribly expensive that is clean with comfortable beds, consider this place. One plus side is for Starbucks fans — you are literally just a minute away from Starbucks.

What a deal my parents got when they stayed here! My dad is a fan of hotwire and he was looking to stay at a hotel close to South Austin. For really cheap he ended up getting this 3 star Comfort Suites, which is only about 7 miles or so from my neighborhood.
I hung out with them at the hotel several times during their visit. The hotel is newer. There is a bar downstairs in the lobby and a nice breakfast area. Breakfast is complimentary and my dad advised that it had lots of options as far as breakfast goes. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub, which they enjoyed.
My parents had a suite room up on the 4^th floor. The room was nice and clean as well. There was a couch and sitting area between the bathroom and bed, which we used to visit with each other.
If you are looking for a 3 star hotel that is clean, nice and exceeding expectations then I would definitely recommend this Comfort Suites location to anyone looking to stay in the area.

I needed to book a block of 10 rooms for a wedding party. I called the local number, 512−295−8600, and was told I needed to speak to the director of sales, Andrea Powers. After leaving 2 voice messages over the next 4 days with no return call, I decided to book the rooms online on their website. The website took me to
, their parent company. I booked the 10 rooms, with a credit card to hold the rooms, and received a confirmation number and email.
As the party started to book the rooms, we discovered we only has 8 rooms reserved, not the 10 I had the confirmation for. After another 2 calls, I finally was able to actually speak to Ms. Powers, and was told by her she had no idea how we booked these rooms, and had never seen rooms booked this way before. I explained it was on their website, and would be happy to forward her the confirmation email from
. She stated they had more rooms available for a much higher rate, but would not honor the reservation we had made through their website, and suggested I could have altered the email confirmation.
Do yourself a big favor and go next door to the Holiday Inn Express. We were able to get larger and newer queen suites for the same price, and they were polite, professional and more importantly HONEST! I also called the 800 number for Choice Hotels customer service and was told I would receive a follow-​up call. Surprise, no return call. Please don’t bother with Comfort Suites Buda.

On the surface everything looked good until we went to the pool.
Both the pool and hot tub smelled like dirty, wet dog; the water was opaque and you couldn’t see the bottom. Scary and sickening.
Phone didn’t work.
Hallway floors dirty.
Not everything was bad but the foul smelling pool polluted the entire experience. If you insist on staying here, you’ve been forewarned about the pool.
Go to the Holiday Inn Express next door, they have a clean pool and hot tub.

Stayed here for one night. I understand it’s a new (er) hotel so everything was pretty nice and fresh looking.

The elevator here was obnoxiously slow during our stay. If you need to go up and down might as well take the stairs (if you can find them) because it might take 5 minutes to wait for the elevator. The ladies working the front desk were very accommodating, well-​spoken, and educated about the going ons of the hotel. They even granted us a later check out when we needed it (but only 30 minutes). Hot breakfast is available in the morning with coffee, eggs, Texas-​shaped waffles, yogurt, bagels, pastries, etc.
The rooms are really nice and spacious. Tall bed with plenty of big pillows. Couch, desk, tv, fridge. Everything seemed pretty clean. You really couldn’t ask for more!

I was going to give this place a rave review.

I was going to say, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have amenities like a microwave and fridge (even if our fridge was unbalanced and set at a 45 degree angle so it rocked)
I was going to say, that as free breakfasts go, it’s pretty decent, eggs, sausage, toasts, bagels, yoghurts, juices, waffles etc
Indoor pool, which, is heated from the hot tub so its nice and warm? Perfect! (Though no towels pool side and trash strewn around even though it was a Monday and not too busy)
All great, right?
The noise is terrible, first night we had the «worlds loudest snorer» man next door, which not only kept us up, but propelled our baby’s swing while he was at it second night, we had opera, Mexican music and «loud blowing his nose» man, not to mention the kids running up and down the hall resulting in your whole room shaking!
What I’ve docked this place points because of, is service, or lack thereof. My sister and BIL were in the room across the hall and had a «music channel all night man» for both nights.
On the 2^nd night, around 4am, my sister went to the front desk to complain (their room phone didn’t work) about the noise. The lady didn’t say much, scratched her head and said «I’ll go up now», they rode in silence in the elevator, no pleasantness, no helpfulness, just bleh. When my sister closed her bedroom door, the lady from the front desk got back on the elevator and went back to her desk.
Ugh!
SERVICE, people!!!

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathroom sink was a little too high… since I’m only 5 ft! Lol

Brand new hotel. I was only here for six hours, but the bed was comfortable, bath water hot, breakfast on time. The staff was friendly & helpful. There is a small (one computer, one printer) business center in the lobby. They have a 24-​hour convenience store for toiletries & snacks.

Nice hotel but– the bed had ladies red hair all in the bed which led me to believe sheets had not been changed. Bathroom was spotless but is seemed there was a ant problem in the bathroom. The breakfast is great lots of variety they even had strawberry waffles it was very well put together. Now they had a sign outside advertising happy hour with alcoholic beverages from 4 – 7. We were excited free drink «oh yeah» well the front desk lady tells me they are still waiting on some stuff with there liquor license and can’t serve alcohol yet. I thought why the heck do you have a banner advertising happy house if you can’t serve drinks. The other thing that bothered me is I called the front desk and asked for a late check out. I told her we will be leaving at 2PM she said ok no problem. So we were sleeping in and planned to wake up at 1PM to head out. Well the maid from room service comes in the room without knocking and she sees us and says sorry and leaves. Then I start drifting back to sleep and about 30 min later I get a call from the front desk she asked if I was checking out or if I wanted to extend my stay. I said there obliviously is a communication break down I called at 8AM to request late check out and was told that is perfectly fine. But since your bugging the hell out of me we will be out of here in 30min. I took a shower got my family and left. The elevators are a little slow and the snack bar is way overpriced $ 2.00 for everything ridiculous.
