The New York strip steak and the scallops were wonderful here. The salads, baked potato, and rice were very good, as were the pinot noir and the black and tan beer. We will be back. Our only objection is that the dining room is very noisy; we can’t imagine what the sound level in the bar might be.

Great food, service and atmosphere. I eat here on a semi-regular basis. The service has always been great as well as the food. Just wish they had more parking.

Eee by gum their Southern inspired variation on fish and chips is a champion dish. The French onion soup is rather like eating a liquid steak.

We went here for lunch yesterday(Nov. 8th, 2015). I read other reviews for all the restaurants in Peddlers Village and most did not go well with people who have eaten in that area. For some reason Porterhouse Res & Pub scored well with most so we decided to give it a try and glad we did! It was the fall Apple Festival going on in Lahaska so parking was tough but we found a spot behind the outlets. Didn’t mind walking on such a nice day. We walked in the restaurant and were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us upstairs right away. Beautiful views of the fall trees! The waiter came right over to take drink orders. The menu was great, lots of salads and sandwiches! Lunchtime. I ordered the ham and havarti on a great artisan type bread. Came with potato salad and a pickle. My friend ordered the grouper sandwich which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Came with chips and a pickle. Both sandwiches were amazingly good and plentiful! The waiter was attentive, the place was very clean and the staff was awesome! The price for our entire lunch with drinks and tax came to only $ 23 which I thought was cheap. I would have equally paid $ 25 – 30 and been just as happy! Take it from me, if you go to Peddlers village and want a great lunch don’t go anywhere but Porterhouse Restaurant. You will not be disappointed. We plan on going there for dinner in the near future! Happy Eating!

Found our way back here once again and weren’t disappointed. It was lunchtime and the place was fairly busy. were seated right away and our server was pleasant. we pretty much repeated our first visit orders with a crab cake sandwich and 2 brewmaster burgers. The crab cake is pretty big. Comes with chips and you could taste the real crab meat in it. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Pretty big and have cheddar jack, bacon and horseradish sauce on them. Damn good!!! But the real standouts today were the apps. The fried buffalo mozzarella and the chicken & Andoullie spring rolls were delicious!!! I’m always a little leery about ordering an Italian item in a place that isn’t Italian. No worries here with this one. As for the spring rolls. I usually am not a fan of these things but these were delicious! The taste of the andoullie coming through with each bite and the sauce the give you to dip them was perfect! I will keep them at 4 starts for these reasons. The apps came out promptly. The entrees took pretty long to arrive considering they were 2 burgers and a crab cake. $ 7 for my Sierra Nevada beer seemed a little high, especially considering it was75% flat. This place is NOT A BREWERY as you might be led to believe. They do have a rotating selection of microbrews, but they do not brew any beer.
PS Make sure to drive to the back of the parking lot for a spectacular view of the hills and fields there. Great photo spot!!!

We called to make a reservation for 3 people at 5pm because we have a special needs child. The women says we don’t take reservations before 7pm. We come at 5:30 and the we are told 40 minutes and we grabbed some drinks from the bar and waited with our child in room next to host/ess counter. I sat and watched about 6 couples who said they had a reservation get seated, I watched 2 parties of 4 get seated with their reservations and 1 hour and 13 minutes later, we finally got seated(½ hour past promise) we called to make reservation because our child is autistic and I made this very clear on the phone! We were going to Earls the whole time but I learned last minute they were closed for renovations because of a fire. We ordered appetizers that were great, bread was great, salad was great! My kids soup never came. My steak was terrible especially for a place with a name porterhouse! It was rare,(asked for medium) tough and not edible! The waitress never came back to ask how anything was. When she did finally come back, I told her this steak was unacceptable and she looked like a stone with no answers. I handed her my credit card and we went to get dessert nearby. I’m in the hospitality business my entire life! I’ve owned restaurants, ran top hotels and I eat out 5 times a week. Porterhouse did not make the cut for my frequent returns to this area unless I need a drink and maybe some buffalo shrimp. I’m more upset on how my request went uncaring with regards to my autistic child not being patient to wait and the steak quality.

My family and I were visiting peddlers village today and first tried Harts Tavern and the Buttonwood Grill for lunch, both had waits of about 45 for our party of 9. So, my husband called the Porterhouse Pub and was told that they could seat us immediately. Upon arrival they told us it would be a few minutes, and they were setting our table. Then we were told there was a party at the table they wanted to seat us at, and they were almost done. As we were waiting patiently, about 5 differnt parties of 2 – 4 people came in, had no reservation, and were immediately seated. About 25 — 30 minutes later we were finally seated. We go upstairs and See multiple empty tables that could have been put together to accomodate our party, instead of making us wait for one specific table. I would say the rest of the service for the meal was terrible it took an exorbitant. Amount of time to get drinks, food, the check and to pick up the check. The restaurant was not filled, but it took over 2 hours for us to complete our lunch. I will say overall the food was good, everone enjoyed their soup, burgers and sandwiches. The only complaint was the new england clam chowder was fishy. As someone else said 20 percent tip was automatically included, so it seems. Srvice does not seem to matter. The service was so bad, it would deter all of us from eating there again.

We stopped in here for dinner at the start of the weekend excursion to New Hope Pennsylvania. The outside of the restaurant was very well decorated for fall and festive haystacks, pumpkins and lights adorned the exterior. The restaurant upon entering was full and rightfully so for a Friday evening at around 730. We had made a reservation prior to coming to the restaurant so our table was ready quickly but people were being told there was a 45 minute wait to be seated. We were taken to the upstairs dining area which was quite large and from the exterior it does not appear to be quite as big as it is inside. I started with the cream of chicken soup with crackers which was OK. Nothing to make a fuss over but it wasn’t bad either. It was just average. For my main course: $ 28– A Dry Aged 18 ounce Rib Eye steak, mesquite & spice rubbed, served with garlic butter & crispy tobacco Onions. Accompanied by garlic mashed red potatoes. Unfortunately I ordered the steak medium and it came out extremely well done. The steak was dry and not very flavorful and there was certainly not enough au jus at all. The best part of the entrée was probably the crispy tobacco onions which were thin onion ring like fried onions with a bit of sweet seasoning. My uncle got the fillet mignon which was a step up from the Delmonico but not much better. $ 245 or 8 ounce Filet Mignon grilled and topped with bubbly Maytag Bleu Cheese & toasted walnuts. Served with mashed potatoes. Nothing tempted on the dessert menu so we had to decline dessert and the coffee after the meal was sub par as well. Overall the atmosphere was nice and dinner for two was just under $ 100 so the price was right as well. However the food left much to be desired especially the steak. I can’t speak for the beer since I am not much of a beer drinker but it does appear the restaurant caters to those who like a good brew.

Recommended by a local, we decided to try it instead of the touristy Cock n Bull which we had planned originally. Since the reviews were mixed, wanted to try it ourselves and we were not disappointed in the least! Portions were big, all entrees come with a choice of soup or salad(very fresh) and nice rolls. We ordered the pasta dishes with local fresh vegetables which were very tasty. Waitress was friendly; casual, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere with low-level lighting.

Dined with a couple of friends a week ago. Food was very good. No complaints with that. But our table at the top of the stairs was like front row at a drag race of servers! Our server seemed rushed, hyper or she was late for something. At the end of the meal, we all commented on how rushed we all felt! Good food, but not exactly a relaxing evening.

Poor service, mediocre food, high prices. Servers were understaffed and took it out in the customers. Even the restroom was dirty. Will not be going back!

Let me preface this with the fact that I have a long history in the service industry as a Cook, server and bartender. This was my first time here and for the location and the menu prices, I guess I had high expectations. We had a reservation at 7pm. My husband and I showed up early for a drink at the bar. The hostess stand was very good about checking on us and asking us if needed another round. The rest of our party arrived and we alerted the hostess that we were all here and ready for our 7pm. We did not get seated until 730pm. Once we got seated, it took a half hour to get 1 round of drinks. By the time our waitress took our order, you could tell she was in the weeds bc she showed a level of frustration when asking questions. The dining room had terrible acoustics so it was extremely loud and hard to hear, so I am sure that added to her frustration level. My husband and I ordered the mussels and he had a special steak encrusted in crab and I had the grouper. The mussels looked and tasted like they were dumped right off the boat. They had a brown and grayish color sauce which was terrible and each mussel had an inappropriate amount of sand. The waitress was good about refilling bar drinks, but came up a little short every time a soda was ordered bc it took twice the amount of time. In addition to that we had an army of empty glasses beginning to take over our table, which made sharing apps a little difficult. Our dinners eventually came and I think in general everyone thought they were just ok. My grouper was breaded mush but the flavor was there. We finished up and asked for dessert menus. Not knowing what they had, I tried to order a cappuccino. The waitress, trying to have a sense of humor, said, «no.» I looked at her with confusion and she said“we don’t have a machine to do that.” I ordered coffee and was not offered a refill. Dessert came for those who ordered it and she dropped the check. After we paid, you could tell we were last table bc she came over practically begging for the signed receipts blaming it on her managers in a joking way saying, «I will get in trouble if I don’t hand those in.» I guess this is the kind of service you get when there is an automatic 20% grat on the check for parties of six or more. Needless to say we did not give any extra. Overall, I blame the manager on duty for the lack of oversight on the floor and I wish the waitress was a little better at acknowledging what I am sure she understood as a short coming on her and the restaurants part.

I took my girls(Wife and daughter) here for restaurant week and then I didn’t order off of the restaurant week menu because all of the food looked so good. Parking wasn’t easy cause the lot is realy small and they were packed inside. The staff was nice but the service was slow. The restaurant itself was nice and not too noisy for how crowded it was and all the food we got was good too(Yes, if I’m paying for it than I am going to eat off of your plate as well as mine). Not the best place to eat in peddlers village in my opinion but still better than good, just don’t go on a weekend, go during the week when they are slow so you can park and get the waitresses attention when you need it.

One of my favorite places to eat when I’m up toward the New Hope area. Consistently tasty food, a solid tap list, and good service. The menu for the upstairs dining area is a bit more fancy, and when I’m here, I’m usually going for the fish & chips, which are a bit of pecan-crusted deliciousness. So it’s all bar seating for me(bar menu is only available downstairs). The buffalo chicken sandwich is a reliable backup if they happen to be out of the F&C.

Went here for an impromptu dinner with my boyfriend… I pass this place every day and decided to give it a try. Went on a Friday night with 6:30 reservations. Downstairs is definitely more casual, has a very open bar area and the majority people sitting at the bar had come straight from work. It was a little noisy, but that’s to be expected for the day and time we came. The upstairs, where we were seated is open as well, with a mix of booths and tables. We were placed next to a window with a pleasant view. Staff was wonderful and very attentive. Only downside was that we were seated next to a very large party(with even louder children) that probably should have been seated more toward the back of the room and not in the middle of tables of 2 . Food was good. I would say 4⁄5. I started with the fried pickles(I know, sounds weird to offer at a nice steakhouse) and they were delicious! My boyfriend had a steak salad with chopped up steak tips, fresh tomatoes, cilantro and red onion… Awesome! For my main course I had the filet with shrimp on top, was cooked just how I asked, and came with the most delicious red skin garlic mashed potatoes. He had the ribeye which was also delightful. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was for the atmosphere, and that the décor could definitely use some updating.

What a place!!! If you’re in the Lahaska/Peddlers Village area this is the place to eat. The quality is perfect. The price for what you receive is phenomenal. My Delmonico was prepared perfectly. My wife’s meal too was great. The bruschetta went down quickly. House salad was plentiful. Great atmosphere, too!

My beau and I were staying in Peddler’s Village for the evening, and he had made reservations at Porterhouse for dinner. If you’re reading this — you are likely in the area and are probably trying to figure out which of the three-star restaurants are worth a visit. I have to preface my review by saying I’m a little spoiled by Center City dining, but I had a good overall experience here. «Brew Pub» is a little misleading. Generally, I take this to mean that they brew some of their own beer… but this is not the case. So I stuck with the sangria. The red sangria was good, but the sip I had of Tom’s white sangria was flavorless. Avoid it. To start, we shared a cup of the Chesapeake Crab Bisque, which was way too salty. The fried buffalo mozzarella appetizer was much better — they had a nice crunch on the outside and were served with warm marinara. For dinner, I got the ribs special, which was a half rack with a sweet, tangy sauce, served with jalapeño cornbread and coleslaw. The ribs were only ok — too much sauce, not very tender — but the cornbread was delicious. Tom got the steak ‘n cake(+1 for the clever name) and though I didn’t try the filet, the crabcake was good. Our server was very pleasant and friendly, and took great care of us throughout the meal. Ambiance will depend on where you sit — when you enter, there is a bar area with TVs and high tops, and if you go up the stairs there is a more formal dining area which is much quieter. I can’t give more than three stars because of the food, but the service and variety on the menu was great.
