Recently remodeled 1897 Colonial Revival Bed and Breakfast located in beautiful Buckeystown, 5 miles from Frederick City. Currently, there are 5 bedrooms with en-​suite bathrooms, located on 2.5 acres with plenty of parking. Enjoy a cup of coffee or an ice tea on our wrap around porch overlooking the beautiful gardens. A hearty breakfast is included with your stay.

History

Established in 2015.

We began remodeling this beautiful old home in 2012 and stripped wall paper, patched, repaired, painted, refinished floors, decorated and installed a new commercial kitchen. We opened our doors on July 25th 2015. We have just welcomed our first customers and we look forward to welcoming many more.

Meet the Business Owner

Pat and Kirk H.

Business Owner

Pat and Kirk relocated to Frederick County from southeastern Pennsylvania, and they couldn’t be happier. Pat is a retired pharmaceutical executive and worked in quality control, vaccine production, business process improvement, and global supply chain. She grew up in a warm and welcoming Italian home and is excited to be able to apply the cooking and hospitality skills she learned from her extended family. Pat’s hobbies revolve around her three daughters and two granddaughters. Kirk was a civil engineering consultant. He worked on all kinds of projects, but his main area of focus was related to site design and environmental restoration. His hobbies include genealogy and historic preservation. Kirk has particularly enjoyed traveling around Frederick County and scoping out all the interesting sights and scenery. He cannot wait for you to ask him a question about any landmarks.

We had a superb B&B experience here, exactly what you hope for in a B&B. The current innkeepers have lovingly restored and updated this house, enhancing the charm and adding modern amenities. Beds, bathrooms, seating, heat & AC, wifi, tv, parking … all top notch. It’s a friendly, comfortable place to spend a couple of days enjoying Frederick County. It lives up to high standards for breakfast, too. We had our choice of breakfast time, a delicious selection of coffee and tea, and fantastic food. Many B&Bs are missing something. Not this one. They got all the details right. We love it! All of the couples we met there seemed to agree!

What a beautiful restoration of this gorgeous Victorian home. I love the blend of the old architecture with the classy modern decorating scheme along with a few antiques. Pat and Kirk were wonderful. They were quite accommodating of my gluten free needs.
We toured all the rooms and I didn’t see one where I wouldn’t want to stay.
They have a Single cup coffee maker in two places so your favorite hot drink is close at hand. They also have a small fridge with water and tea along with snacks. Just little extras to make your stay feel like home!

We just had a wonderful weekend at the Frederick Inn. The innkeepers, Pat and Kirk, welcomed us with open arms, and couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast both mornings was delicious and they consistently offered ideas of places to go and shared their own stories from the area. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. Just a great place– highly recommend if you are heading to Frederick!

My wife and I stayed at the Frederick Inn B&B for a birthday weekend get-​away. We’ve stayed at many B&Bs over the years, and can honestly say this is one of the best — even compared to those in the California wine country. The historic inn is absolutely beautiful and charming — painstakingly renovated over the past few years. Pat and Kirk, the inn keepers, are super nice and have thought of everything. Their meticulous attention to detail is first rate and made the overall experience very memorable. The rooms are beautiful, well furnished and include all of the amenities you’d expect from a first class hotel. My wife and I are real foodies and also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Perhaps the best thing is how convenient and close it is to DC. Forget about driving 3+ hours to Deep Creek — Buckeystown is even closer than Frederick if you’re coming from the District. I highly recommend the Frederick Inn to anyone looking for that perfect, relaxing getaway. Just don’t book it up when I want to stay there! :D

My husband and I stayed here for a little getaway a few weeks ago, the house was beautifully redone and the rooms were so charming! On top of a beautiful room, the owners served us a delicious breakfast and were extremely welcoming!

Pat and Kirk were fantastic, lovely people. We had a great time — it felt very homey. I have annoying food allergies (which I am used to packing my own food) and they were incredibly accommodating so I could actually have a home cooked breakfast at the Inn.

My wife and I stayed for 5 days. I highly recommend the Frederick Inn for short or longer stays. The Inn is a beautifully restored 19th century home. The grounds are lovely and the area is still country even though it is minutes from downtown Frederick. The interiors have been completely redone and are so welcoming. We were able to see each of the bedrooms and they are all beautifully done with their own personalities. We stayed in Guesr 1 which had its own balcony. Pat and Kirk are super gracious hosts. The breakfasts are perfect. Definely ask for Pat to fix pancakes or Kirk to do omlets..

My wife, son, and I had the opportunity to stay at the Frederick Inn B&B while visiting the Frederick area over the weekend. We absolutely loved our experience and came away very impressed with how beautifully this historic colonial has been restored. The meticulous attention to detail of the restoration has created a very welcoming feel and the charm of staying in a historic home while enjoying modern conveniences such as full size renovated bathrooms, wifi, and comfortable furniture.
Kirk and Pat are fantastic hosts, the breakfast was great, and of course it was a far more comfortable nights sleep than just a hotel. If you are in the area, you have to give it a try.

For me, the Frederick Inn Bed and Breakfast has the best of both worlds. It has all the amenities I expect when traveling, but with more personality (and way better breakfast!) than your standard hotel. It is not small, crowded, cluttered, or outdated like some Bed and Breakfasts I have visited. It has the charming features of a beautiful old home, like the wrap-​around porch and the grand wooden staircase. But the rooms feel open and bright, and they are furnished in a way that is modern and comfortable.
For breakfast, I have had the zucchini quiche, and the orange Grand Marnier French toast and both were excellent.
The innkeepers are very friendly and accommodating. Overall, this is a great place to stay!
