We offer a variety of gluten free options.
We are located in Bryn Mawr, in the main line. Vgë Café is a convenient option for Villanova, Haverford, Ardmore, Wynnewood, Broomall, Wayne, King of Prussia, Conshohocken and Narberth and it’s a 20 minute drive from Philadelphia.
Vgë Café offers balanced nutrition in every item on its menu, using diverse vegetables, choosing whole grains over refined ones and replacing items of little nutritional value for more nutritious ones. We chose organic ingredients when feasible.
All our food is free of cholesterol and none of our items is fried. We do not use canned vegetables.
We have made sustainable choices in our materials and practices.
We have been voted Best Vegetarian Restaurant by the readers of Mainline Today and Mainline Media News.
Vgë Café opened to the public in April 2012 and was warmly and enthusiastically received. We are now launching a franchise initiative
History
Established in 2012.
Our mission at Vgë (we pronounce it vee-gee) is to be the preferred healthier and fresher alternative for fast casual dining.
Friends and I have been constantly frustrated with the shortage of affordable, fresh and healthy choices for a casual meal; and being vegetarians didn’t make it any easier. While some chains are making a true effort to bring healthier choices to their menus, the vast majority of quick-service options are based on empty carbohydrates (refined grains), bad fats, canned vegetables and frozen/fried highly processed foods. Not to mention the excess sodium and high-fructose corn syrup, found in virtually every processed food in this industry.
We decided it was time to take action and bring to market an alternative to fast foods, making better choices available to the Philadelphia suburbs, so we found a home on the Main Line at Bryn Mawn. We are committed to make foods taste delicious, but we do so choosing smart ingredients and balanced nutrition.
