We travel to Ft Worth from Houston often, and have stopped here a couple of times. The staff is so nice, and the food is good. Go with a big appetite, or plan to share. I got the meatloaf with a baked potato and green beans. Everything was very good. We started with cornbread and biscuits. I couldn’t finish my meal and didn’t eat dinner later because I was still full. The little shop is nice and you can enjoy the rockers outside after. We had our little grand daughter with us and she loved it!

Very good home cooked meals made from scratch with excellent flavors. They actually have the best breakfast food in the area by a landslide. I like the atmosphere also, it feels like you just stepped into a time machine. The waiters are very kind and give great customer service.

This is my sons favorite Restaraunt. The rest of our family were not impressed! Food portions are Very small! Catfish was fried way to hard. CFS tasted like it was from a TV dinner left over from the 70’s! We will never go back to this restaraunt!

I love this place! Such a down home cozy environment. especially with the fire during the winter time. And comfort food! I’ve been to many cracker barrels but this particular location is my favorite… always good service(young college kids mostly), very friendly, great food, and it’s always packed yet they find a way to get you in pretty quickly and get your food in a timely manner. And even if there is a little wait you can always browse the store or rock out in the rockin chairs and time goes by fast! Definitely a great place to go if you have children. plenty of little games to keep them entertained and great food selection for picky eaters. All day breakfast! Must go.

Wait staff is ok, food is nasty. I haven’t had one good thing from there yet. My eggs were extremely undercooked, my dumplins were mush and my salmon patties were fried in old grease. I may give them another chance but it’s not my first pick.

The last two times we ate at the Cracker Barrel the coffee was thiner than dishwater, the bacon was almost raw and the service left much to be desired. Very disappointing!

I’ve been to a number of Cracker Barrels across the country, and I’d say this is one of the better ones I’ve visited. If you’ve never been to one before, there’s a good variety of food choices, and you can choose to either indulge in one of the many«comfort food”-type options, or stick to more health-conscious fare. Prices are very reasonable(it should really be listed as «$» instead of «$$»). Cracker Barrel is also the only store I’m aware of outside of the Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina area where you can buy Cheerwine(a highly-carbonated, cherry-flavored, soft drink), and for that reason alone I’ll keep coming back.

I started out my late morning wanting to enjoy a nice breakfast by myself at this restaurant. Nice and clean small line at the hostess table but it went through very quickly and was seated immediately. I waited patiently for 15 min before being asked my a manager if I had been helped. She offered her apologize when I replied with no and took my order for French toast(regular) and eggs. I got my drink within the next few min and my food very shortly after. Problem was that my French toast wasn’t regular French toast it was covered in blue berries. The manager messed up my order… Smh

Growing up in Texas, sometimes you just crave country cooking. Surprisingly there aren’t a lot of these types of places in Houston or BCS. In Houston Cleburne’s cafeteria is my #1 spot. Second would be Luby’s as safe and reliable. I never eat in the restaurant, I usually just take it to go. Any who, Cracker Barrel was always too far away since I lived in the loop and the closest was Rosenberg, I never tried it. When I moved to BCS, I found my 3 month turkey w/dressing craving unsatisfied & who wants to cook that at home? So I tried CB, love it! You know these restaurants are good if you see a lot of people that look like your grandparents. In all honesty, the food was good, fried okra was perfect, mashed potatoes were perfect. I will def come here again when I am craving country cooking.

Had breakfast with a co-worker this week and it was pretty good. I had the strawberry french toast. The french toast was delicious! It also came with a side of eggs and choice of bacon or sausage. I also added a side of biscuits and gravy. The eggs were mehh. I asked for cheese and they put a very minimal amount of cheese on them. They were also not fluffy or «real» tasting to me. However, the biscuits and gravy were great!

Few things are as sure a thing as a breakfast from Cracker Barrel. On this particular visit I tried and loved their new(fresh) strawberry and cream French toast. Wow! Served with eggs and bacon for just $ 8. While some things don’t taste as good as they appear in a picture this was better if that’s possible. And do I really need to tell you how good the service was. It’s always top notch

Great food, quick service, the wait staff were a little inattentive with the restaurant being so empty, but other than that a great experience and the Food was fresh, hot and flavorful.

Excellent waitress very attentive dishes were clean. Our comfort zone was a 10. Food came out promptly. Condiments were fresh. I can count on good food and service at Cracker Barrel in Bryan Texas.

This Cracker Barrel seems to be running on autopilot. I ordered the oatmeal with a muffin. The oatmeal was good(it’s hard to mess that up) but the muffin tasted like it was baked a month ago. One of my dining companions had scrambled eggs, which were cold. I had a bite of someone else’s pancake, which was OK. Coffee and service were good.

Yep it’s a 3 star Cracker Barrel when I know they can easily get 5 from me. This location was clean, and had great shopping and gift options. However the service was lacking, our waitress never heard of «iced coffee» apparently since bringing a cup of ice and coffee was to hard to figure out. Also I’m gluten-free so had the gluten-free menu which was a employee manual of all the allergies, cool for that but they dont list the sides or what comes with them and looks kind of sterile. So I ended up paying $ 8 for a pork chop that looked like a slice of deli ham from HEB which was way over salted. Also had carrots and extra bacon that never came. Had to ask her 3 times for stuff we asked for… service sucked, food sucked, my partner enjoyed her food however. As a allergy patient, I shouldn’t be treated like a second hand citizen, especially at a national chain such as cracker barrel.

Offering both hearty breakfast and light versions with calories info on the menu. Reliable and consistent good quality of food. Eggs cooked to order with eggbeater choices. A lot of side items to choose from. Pancakes are fluffy and crispy around the edges. Served with maple syrup in a warm/hot glass bottle and not too much butter on top… A nice treat. Wish they had more vegetable or fruit options for breakfast but the demand probably is not high there. Excellent and prompt service. A lot of space in parking and inside. We went back twice in a roll when visiting BCS. There are very few alternatives here. They certainly do not match this one in terms of good service and ease of seating.

This place never disappoints in terms of food. The portions are always great and prices are really reasonable. I normally choose between the meatloaf(which I don’t normally order anywhere else but here) and the chicken and dumplings(which are awesome). I have zero complaints from this place. Today I ordered some buttermilk battered and fried chicken breast to change it up My g/f loves the chicken fried chicken which is good but I have had better. Really enjoy the cute and country time inspired chain restaurant.

I was disappointed, unfortunately. I got the country fried breakfast with hashbrown casserole and the country fried steak. Everything was under seasoned, the casserole just tasted like cheese, and the steak was over cooked. The biscuits were the highlight of the meal for sure.

Agree with the reviewer, this place sucks. Apparently there are two Unilocal listings for this location; Have suggested to Unilocal to combine them to limit confusion. I agree, this place sucks, here is my review;

Always a goto spot when the parents are around. My mom orders the same thing every time and i end up finishing it for her. This time around we had a group of 6. Grandparents split a meal, i order enough for two people(Country boy meal), and dad order a proportionate plate. The food came out piping hot, and ready to be enjoyed. The server are always on their game, and willing to help with every request. No complaints here. The meal came to around 68 $ and was well worth it. I know i will be back, as per my mother.
