A-​1 Towing and Recovery has proudly served the Brazos Valley and surrounding communities for over 60 years. We are one of the largest towing and recovery businesses in the State of Texas and our reputation speaks for itself!

History

Established in 1956.

the 1950’s Doc had a dream to build the largest wrecker service in the Brazos Valley. With determination and support from his family and friends, he bought a tow truck and started A-​1. In the early years, A-​1 was the area’s first and only 24-​hour wrecker service and by 1958, Doc had gained another truck, a business partner and opened B&K Services, a full service station. Twenty-​two years ago, his wife, Sue Kalinec joined A-​1 as CEO. She is the current owner and operator and is actively involved in all aspects of the company. It’s because of her and Doc’s dedication to serving the community that A-​1 has continued to prosper and grow.

Today, still in our original location, we continue to be an active community partner by: employing over 20 full time personnel, operating a fleet of 25 trucks ranging from light to heavy duty wreckers, flatbeds and haul trucks and managing the largest storage lot in a 100-​mile radius.

Our staff can handle any job big or small. Vice-​President and son of the owner, Jeff Taylor, joined our team in 2008. Serving as Operations Manager, he oversees company and driver activities, fleet maintenance and ensures that A-1’s business is service with safety first. Office Manager, Carrie Taylor, joined the company in 2006. She makes sure that each customer’s experience with A-​1 is the best. Customer service is her 1^st priority. They work hard to continue A-1’s family legacy and maintain its longstanding reputation of outstanding customer service.

Our dispatchers and drivers are ready to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are here to make sure your needs are taken care of. Our drivers pride themselves on being professional, courteous and safe and are certified nationally as Tow Truck Operators and statewide as Licensed Tow Operators with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
