Encompass the World Travel

My friends and I have been planning a trip to Disney World. I called a travel agent in my state and she said she couldn’t help me but gave me the number of a man who specializes in Disney planning. I called and told him I was referred. He seemed willing to help me so I explained all of the details of our travel plans we had figured out, he said give him a little time to get me pricing and then he would contact me. The next day I received an email from Melanie (definitely not the man who I had made original plans with), she sent us info on pricing. I’m guessing the gentleman who helped me originally didn’t relay the correct information and was too busy to be able to help us because we had to spend a few days going back and forth with Melanie before we got all the information we originally asked for. After spending 1 week just trying to get details straight, which would have been easier if she had emailed us back in a timely manner and not just once a day, we finally set all of our plans. We emailed her saying we’d like to purchase our plane tickets and put the deposit down for the rooms. This happened on Friday ⁹⁄₄. I didn’t hear from her until Tuesday of the next week. I understand Monday was a holiday but I called Tuesday and when she answered she was rude, short, and acted like I was inconveniencing her by calling and asking if she had gotten our email. She finally emailed us back Tuesday night with none of the information we had asked for and we were no closer to being able to purchase our tickets. I emailed her back Tuesday evening again telling her we wanted to purchase our tickets. No answer Wednesday, I called their office and was told they would have her call me back. Nothing. I called Thursday and again was told she would call me back. No call back and no emails this whole week. I emailed her and asked if there was a reason we were being ignored and if we should take our business elsewhere. She finally emailed and didn’t apologize for not communicating with us for days, and in her email was very short. Just asked for our information for the plane tickets. I had asked for a confirmation on pricing just to make sure it was everything we had talked about. Glad I had because she came back with all new pricing (it went up significantly) and new flight plans, which we did not talk about and was also about $ 100 more per person. I emailed her back and asked why the prices had changed so drastically. That email went out last week. She has yet to email or call us. This woman is so unprofessional, sneaky, and just down right rude. I’m so glad we didn’t actually give this company our money because we found someone else who is extremely nice, efficient, knowledgable, and communicates with us regularly. Plus she has saved us a ton of money! Thank you Melanie and Encompass the World Travel for showing us exactly what we NEVER want in a travel agent again.

We booked our honeymoon through this company and they were great! We worked with Bill and he was very friendly and offered good information about our options. We wanted to go to Hawaii and he knew so much about the islands and what you can do on each one. We were very happy with our decision and will definitely be using him again for future trips.
