I lived in the area over 2.5 years before discovering Willow Run. I cannot believe it took me this long to stop by. I was looking for bird feeders and was amazed at all the items they carry. They carry our cat and dog food and they have the absolute best price on safflower seeds. Somebody always carries my purchases to my car without even asking and they treat my children with respect, once even giving them candy! It’s not a flashy store but it doesn’t need to be. The prices are competitive and the staff is top notch.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would… and I don’t give out stars easily.
I will never EVER go anywhere else and I will tell everyone I know to come here.
Willow Run kenneled our two dogs for over 2 weeks while we were on vacation. Sadly, our older dog passed away (from a pre-​existing ailment) while in their care. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. They loved on our boy while he passed so that he was not alone. They called us immediately and continued to contact us and work with us to figure out the next steps. They made phone calls to our vet on our behalf (I was in Europe) and worked with us to find options for our sweet boy. They cried for and with us and gave extra love to our other dog until we could come and get her.
When we picked her up, they gave us a beautiful card and cried with us again. They took our dog who had passed to our vet without a single question, charge or blink. They handled what would have been a devastating situation had it happened in our care with such love and grace and I will never ever forget it. Thank you seems so insignificant.
You have my business for life and I will tell everyone I know to give it to you too. I will never forget the amazing above and beyond service you provided.

I love this place. I got a new puppy and trusted them to give me the right food him. he is now 5 months old and his coat is beautiful! Friendly service and I don’t have to remember what I got him, they keep a nice record of it for me. Its great to find a family owned business that I can support!

The team is friendly. Willing to help customers with positive food choices for optimal helath. Tricky to locate as the google map missed the mark but worth the find.

Love the kennel here, the people are fantastic and our dogs really LOVE it! At past kennels, our dogs were overstimulated and stressed when we picked them up but that hasn’t been the case here — they are happy dogs when we leave them and happy dogs when we pick them up. They are 65 lbs each and can stay in the same «run» together which we also love. Really trust the staff and feel very comfortable leaving them here. I’ve never felt this way about a kennel and it is such a great feeling to know they are so well taken care of.
We get dog food/​treats here, too. The owners are so sweet and knowledgeable and they stock anything you could ever want. Stoked we live by Willow Run, I don’t want to move out the area because of this place!

The most helpful and knowledgeable staff ever. Huge selection for dogs. They even keep what you purchase in their system just in case you forget. You never need a receipt to return something they carry everything you could ever want and more. I will never go anywhere else ever again. The best I have ever seen. Thank you!

Have been buying our lab’s food and treats here for years. The staff is extremely friendly and more importantly, in my opinion, they are extremely knowledgeable. The selection of quality pet food (including raw), pet items (including equine) continues to grow. They also carry gift items. I have no experience in boarding, washing or training my dog there, however it would be the first place I would look if in the market for those services. Love Willow Run. I am only a customer and have no other affiliation with the business.

I don’t have an appropriate way to express how impressed I am with Willow Run or their staff. What ever I say would be to modest for words to describe who they are and how much they care.
It takes me back to the days of an old grocery store. If it is a 50# bag of dog food or a couple plastic bags with samples of new food, they carry them to your car and thank you for your business.
I will pay for the price difference to a home grown USA supporting business over getting a few bucks off for a simple lazy convenience.
This is what America is about and what Americans should support!

After going to every local pet store and being impressed, but not over the top excited, I thankfully found Willow Run! Every time I stop in here, they give my one year old golden a treat (with my permission, of course) and I get to browse with no issues. I love the little things they sell on top of animal supplies, too!
This place gives me nostalgia of a good ol feed store like what I would find in my hometown in rural Michigan! From the dirt driveway to the friendly customer service!

I stopped here for propane a day back, and they were very professional, attentive, and nice. They refill propane bottles and charge for what is put into your bottle. I keep forgetting this place exists because its out of the way. Glad I went. I need to buy my pet supplies here as well.

Whether we’re buying rabbit food, Mrs. Meyers’ natural products or getting our propane tanks filled, these guys make you feel important and right at home. You enter the property off-​set south of 120^th Ave, and you feel like you’ve entered a little part of Old Broomfield and into the country. I love it. No big box store here!

New to the area and was looking for a feed store with dog food and what I found was honest genuine customer service. The gentleman even carried my dog food to my car for me :) I will definitely be returning for more doggie gear :)

I will never go anywhere else to buy my dogs’ food again. They have exceptional customer service and they always give you their honest opinion on what type/​brand of dog food you should be feeding your dog (s). We bought a bag of Canine Caviar puppy food and my dog ended up not liking it. Dave at Willow Run just told us to bring the food back and they’ll refund it for us and we can use that credit to buy another brand of food for our puppy. We love this place! They have high end dog treats, food, and more. The staff is ways super friend and helpful. You can’t go wrong with this place.

This place is great. The guy that helped us got us our grain-​free Nutrisource food after our local store screwed us by purposely not taking deliveries when they were out. Not only did they have it in stock, but offered to make it worth our while to drive the 20 minutes to this place to get it (I take that as an offer to discount it for us.) Better yet, this place ALWAYS carries the bags out to your car, which is nice because be buy the 30 lb bags. :-) Great place, I would recommend it.

Selection — 5
The selection at Willow Run is fantastic. They have dozens of treats and food for my dog. They have bully sticks, bones, other dried animal parts, hard treats, soft treats, chicken, lamb, fish, buffalo, dry food, frozen food. You name it (and it isn’t crap), they have it and in multiple sizes. All the treats you find at Petco and PetSmart are going to be poor quality compared to what is at Willow Run. If you’re looking for toys or collars, your better bet is a place like PetSmart or Petco. This is primarily a pet food store, but they do carry other pet supplies.
Quality — 5
I will never, ever, ever go to a place like Petco or PetSmart again to buy my dog her food. We met with the owner after wanting to buy Blue Buffalo for our puppy, but the owner talked us out of it, saying they used to carry it, but the quality of the food isn’t what it used to be. He had dozens of other foods to recommend to us that I had never heard of. Hew was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work, wanting only the products in his store that an animal deserved. When we fed our puppy Eukanuba, she would pick at her food. Now we had to buy her a slow feed bowl because she would gobble her food down.
Price — 4
Willow Run is expensive. If you’re someone who can’t afford a higher quality food period for your dog, Willow Run is out of your reach. I’ve found treats like bones and bully sticks online in bulk for about 60%-75% of the price of Willow Run. However, when I checked online at the price of the typical dog food we buy, online wasn’t any cheaper (especially when you factor in shipping) and the food was the same price, if not cheaper, than the «premium» dog foods at Petco/​PetSmart.
Atmosphere — 5
I love being in this store. It’s got this homey-​barn feeling. There are cats wandering around and the staff has never been anything but helpful. They have other products on display for other local businesses (such as leather wallets, jewelry, and sand art) that really make you feel like you’re supporting your local community. The place is overflowing with merchandise, but it’s well organized, well-​stocked and neat.
Recommendation — 5
If you can afford higher quality food (better food = healthier dog = fewer medical bills), then Willow Run is definitely the place to go. If you can’t wait a few days for a bag of treats or bones from online, then Willow Run is the place to go for a great selection and you’d be supporting a fantastic local business.

They helped pick my dog food and gladly took back open bags that did not work which I appreciated. My dog has a sensitive stomach, chicken allergic who doesn’t eat fish but likes salmon treats aka high maintenance dog.
Staff is really friendly, nice, helpful. Prices are better than most other pet places. I wish they had more treat selection (Boulder Dog Food) My dog gets happy when we drive up the driveway.

Recently returned to Willow Run and am still just as pleased. Between Willow Run and Pet Empawrium I have all of my pet needs covered. One of our dogs has stringent dietary restrictions and so I rely on the specialty pet stores for our food. Willow Run has an excellent selection of grain-​free dry, wet, and raw dehydrated foods. While Pet Empawrium is very strict on what brands they will carry based on recalls and quality ingredients, Willow Run has a wider selection to fit a variety of budgets. If you are in the Westminster/​Broomfield area, I highly recommend Willow Run.
As always — as a pet owner it’s important to remain vigilant of recalls so that you can be informed and make your own decisions when it comes time to buy. It might be helpful for Willow Run to include updated pet food recalls on their website or posted in the food section of the store just for added education to the customer. If this is already existing, I may have missed it.

Great store for pet products! We drove all the way from Parker to go here because they are the only place that sells hay that our bunny will tolerate! They have a HUGE selection of Oxbow products (top of the line brand for small animals) including litter, hay, pellets, papaya tablets, etc. They sell in bulk so you can get a hefty bag of hay for $ 11. They sell supplies for every animal ranging from dogs to cats to rabbits to horses.

Great variety of high quality dog food that you wont find in the chain stores… lots of grain-​free dog food options. Service is excellent and staff is very knowledgable (on the whole) we love the frequent buyer program — important with how much dog food we go through on a monthly basis.

My dogs love this place. I’d rate the kennels a 5, inexpensive, very cool (temp wise) and they get plenty of attention /​exercise without getting thrown into general population.
Selection is awesome and service is always fast and friendly.
I buy food for the pups here about every 3 weeks, I like that they keep track of your orders and remind you when you’ve earned a free bag. My dogs eat premium food and it is pricey but the occasional free meal takes away the sting.
