I always take my dog to Valerie because she always does a really good job. My 70 pound pitbull is a huge baby when it comes to baths and being groomed. Valerie always makes sure that she never gets too stressed out. The store owner Lori is really knowledgeable and is willing to special order a specific brand or flavor food and the pricing is very competitive.

Excellent service!!! Both of my Bassetts have been groomed by Valerie for the past 4 years. Wouldn’t take them to anyone eles. She does an amazing job with grooming and nails. Also, she is very friendly and thorough and you can tell she has a genuine love for animals! As for the lady’s comment below me, I’m not understanding why you are upset that a groomer would call you and say your dog is in pain and doesn’t want to keep going with the groom and torture your poor pet??? Especially when other options were given. In my opinion you shouldn’t be a pet owner. How sad for that dog:(

Also posted this on the Facebook page. I want people to know. This was from Valerie. I am such in shock. still. I will add — i was VERY angry about what happened. I also want to add Valerie didn’t have the decent courtesy to even come to me and look at me in the face when I came to pick my dog up. Thank goodness for finding someone else. We went to Groomer Closet. Shelby was kind and even stayed 2 hours after she closed to help me.
Do not really enjoy doing this– this does not go to the pet owner at all. It goes to her groomer. Very poor customer service. My dog came in and she calls my husband 30 — 45 min later and tells him he keeps crying and she can not deal with his barking and crying; he is in too much pain. She tells him to shave him and start over (even though she mentioned to me she doesn’t like doing that on double coated dogs). I had to leave work early and pick him up from the store since she told me to find a different groomer and she wasn’t the one. I was upset since i have never been told this before and was honestly shocked. I told her that life isn’t rainbows and sunshine and that as a groomer some dogs are vocal. My dog is part husky and is vocal. He doesn’t like to brushed and is a brat. I left the groomer quite disappointed. I told the owner that her groomer wasn’t the best in town like she mentioned. A good groomer would care and never want a dog to leave with some matting. I would like to mentioned he was matted. He is part Pyrenees and has long hair, but not the worst ever. I have been to many different groomers from different states and NEVER been treated like this. I ended up going to a different groomer in broomfield. They took me right then. Now he DID bark and whimper but wasn’t in pain like she mentioned and the groomer was quite confused by the groomer, here, and the place I ended up taking him to used the vacuum first and his matting came right now. I really do not like this, but very POOR customer service and just because a groomer was lazy, I was turned away having to LEAVE work early. Shame on you.

New Owner!!! Fall 2015 :
I have washed my dog here several times last winter and had great experiences. It is a local hard working small business owner who will order almost any food for you and match competitors prices. She has just moved her shop around the corner and despite the different lay out, the same products are all there. She has samples of most food and after years of paying for very expensive (F. Brand) Dog food for my grain/​chicken free dog, I took the owners recommendation and tried a new food that will save me $ 150 – 200 /​year for my german shepherd mix. My pup loved the food as treats but I was skeptical if she would eat it for meals. Well the nutrition and ingredients are too notch and my dog likes it mixed still with her old food. The owner gives top notch advise /​recommendations only when asked and her groomers even trim/​grind nails after a bath if they have time between appointments.
Shepherds can have very tender feet and every groomer has given my dog great black nail trims/​grinds at the best price anywhere.
Shop local and support our local business owners, you shouldn’t be disappointed here.

Bathing here is easy (they have all you need shampoos, tools, towels, dryers) and you leave all the fur behind instead of stuck to your shower or tub (actually it goes everywhere w/​my double coated pup)! now that is an awesome thing and their tub is much safer& ergonomic for me and my dog.

Never going back! She listened to what I asked and did the exact opposite! My dog looked horrible. Worst so called «trim» ever. It will take 4 months to grow this mess out.

Valerie did a great job cleaning up my neglected border collie, whose fur had started compacting on his tush because I haven’t had time to brush him since we had the baby. She spent a solid 15 minutes explaining my options, and then another four hours tending to my pup. I love that I can drop him off and they take him to Dog Life doggy daycare when they are done. So convenient!

Rocco needed a bath. I have all my life been lazy and let the groomers take care of my dogs.
We decided to venture out to ‘do it ourselves’ and came here. I called on Saturday morning to make sure I didn’t need a reservation or something. Guy let me know, NOPE, just first come first serve.
We got there around 10:45 and it was completely dead– thank goodness. We were greeted by two all black, well behaved dogs (I believe they work there :))… They have two tubs, one for a big dog, and one for a little one.
We put on some smocks, was given some shampoo, and Rocco jumped right in the tub. NOT because there is some super enticing thing inside the tub, but probably because he didn’t know any better and we told him to get in :) The guy then just let us have at it and left us alone for the fun part.
Suds and rubs, and plenty of shakes of water later, we were drying Rocco off with a fluffy towel. There is a dryer there, but we decided not to use it because he was easy to dry with the towel.
When we were done, we just leashed up, paid $ 15 and was on our way with a happily cleaned and always spoiled dog.
Nice place, small and simple and not overwhelming for us. We’ll be back next bath time !
P. S., they don’t trim nails, but will give you the tools to if you’d like… no thank you… i would be too scared… but just so you know.

Pro: Clean facility with easy access to the self-​service dog wash area.
Con: Rude employee.
I have a curious, but trained dog who will drop objects on command. As my dog was sniffing around the store, the woman warned me that my dog could only stay in the store with me IF she didn’t steal any of the treats on the shelf or I could put her in the car when it was 30 degrees outside. I was prepared to purchase some merchandise AND treats for my dog. However, after that comment we paid for the dog wash and left. I believe in supporting small local businesses, but not at the expense of being insulted.

I enjoy visiting all the small pet stores that specialize in natural foods.
This was the first that said if your dog didn’t like the food for some reason, like doesn’t sit well in the stomach, you could exchange it for a new bag. You can also play it safe and get little sample bags to test out on your dog first.
