Dr. Burns has been a fantastic dentist for my family! He takes the time to explain procedures to us, is great with my children, and handled a pretty complicated case of mine with ease. If you have to go to a dentist(which many of us do not enjoy doing) he and his staff are the people to go to!

I’ve been going there for several years — and they are OK, but not stellar. For routine things, they have a pleasant environment, friendly staff, and handle things pretty well. They also don’t seem to make up work just to increase their bills as some other dentists do. I had a crown done — and the permanent crown fell apart in the first week. He had to re-do the trimming of the tooth(or whatever its called) to allow the crown to be thick enough to hold up. Then he sent it back to the same lab that had made the original bad one. Also did not explain nearly well enough how much trauma there would be to the mouth and tooth — it took over a year to become«normal» again. Like most dentists, all the routine work is done by dental hygienists — but the doctor is supposed to look over their work. Sometimes Dr Burns didn’t come in to say«everything looks good». On at least one occasion, he wasn’t even at work that day — and the other dentist apparently wasn’t either. They are friendly, and handle the paperwork pretty well. However, they don’t always check with insurance to get the exact amount to charge — so they might overcharge a small amount and have to send a refund check afterwards — for routine fillings. If you can’t take off work for a dental appointment, they won’t be the dentist for you, since they are only Mon-Fri 8:30−4. One time they dropped my appointment off their calendar — they claimed that I didn’t make any appointment with them — which I had done(like I always do) at the previous appointment.
