History

Established in 2001.

In the fall of 2000 Michelle Thomas decided to reach out to the community by creating affordable tutoring. Since her first client in 2001, the business has grown, adding her husband and 4 other tutors to the organization. In 2005 we incorporated. In June of 2012 they decided to open a small private school to further meet the needs of the community. In the first year they grew by 250%. They hire both full time teachers as well as tutors based on their original model.

«I discovered early in my teaching career that there were too many students and not enough time to ensure all my students’ needs were met. Creating Bolder Tutor has given me the ability to focus on each student and meet those individual needs. Since I would classify myself as a «life-​long learner,“I have attended many conferences, workshops, and taken additional online courses through the years dealing with educational methods and the IEP/​504 plan processes. I graduated in 2011 from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Special Education and continue to take workshops and online learning opportunities to grow.» –Michelle
