Blackbird Distillery(BD) is no doubt a must see attraction in Brookville PA! Driving up the driveway to the Distillery you are welcomed by the fun outside décor. silhouettes of blackbirds perched on the top of the fence to the vintage Ford that is just calling out for a photo op!~ Walking into BD you immediately feel welcome and feel like you are back at another time. It’s definitely a fun experience. Sampling the homemade moonshine is highly recommended. My two favorite blends are hot cinnamon & root beer. The customer service is outstanding and bursting with personality. It’s interesting and fun to learn how the moonshine is made. It’s fun to browse the BD for homemade horseradish, cheese, peppers, salsa, wing sauce etc. Most are even packaged by BD! I just recently tried the Smoky Hot wing sauce made with Blackbird Moonshine and loved it. It was hot and tangy and a flavor I have never tasted before. Their restroom is referred to as the«Sh**t house»… decorated in a hillbilly fashion and is so fun to check out. The owners Jenn and Dave Black opened the Distillery a few years ago. They no doubt put Brookville, PA on the map baby! 5 stars easily. I highly recommend visiting the Blackbird Distillery.

Amazing can’t even begin to describe this place. Yeah, it’s small, but what they lack in size they make up in pretty much everything else. The products are top notch, and they service is beyond comparison. They are friendly, helpful, and strive to make everyone who walks in the door feel welcome. And if you think it’s only moonshine, you would be wrong(although they have at least 15 flavors, all fantastic). They have meats, cheeses, sauces, pickled veggies, glasses, shirts, cozies, etc Anytime I’m in Brookville, I stop by without fail to stock up on shine and friendly conversation. Oh and they have free samples. two thumbs way up.

Blackbird Distillery is located in Brookville, PA and I’ve been wanting to check it out since they opened. Went on the 4th of July and they were booming with business. The building is huge and very clean. As soon as you walk in you are greeted. They pride themselves on making moonshine the old fashioned way and you can tell! So many different flavors to choose from including blackcherry, apple pie, peach, banana, pineapple, etc. I bought a bottle of the blackcherry which will not last long. Also, they have smoked meats and cheeses as well as canned pickles and peppers. I also had to get the smoked jalapenos and smoked hot pepper cheese. This place is definitely worth the drive and I cannot wait to go back and get some of that blueberry shine once they have it available!
