Joe recently fixed several closets in our new apartment. He removed obsolete flimsy cubbyhole type storage compartments and installed poles made of black iron gas pipe. It looks brilliant. He did it all in one evening. He’s extremely reliable, efficient and straightforward.

Joe was a great choice to fix up our new apt prior to move in! He and his team did a great job painting the place. Joe also fixed a warped floor board in our living room and helped us put off replacing the entire floor. He is easily accessibly by phone/​text and finished the job earlier than anticipated. I would definitely call him up in the future!

I hired Joe sight unseen based on these Unilocal reviews. I needed to find someone to do some minor carpentry work in my cousin’s apartment and I didn’t know any handy people in the area. I don’t live in Brooklyn and couldn’t meet or interview anyone. Joe was very nice and prompt and professional. He did a great job in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price. I certainly will use him again. It really was a pleasant experience and i thank not only Joe, but all of the Unilocalers who gave feedback that made me comfortable calling Joe.

I called Joe and he took care of me the same day. Very polite and excellent, fast work. I had a stuck on toilet seat I couldn’t get off and he did the job fast with no problems and did not charge me and arm and a leg. If I have any other issues — plumbing etc I plan on calling him and getting the job done right, not calling my idiot super who usually ends up making things worse! If you’re new in Bay Ridge and looking for a handyman, stop. Joe is the guy.

I wish I could give Joe 6 stars!!! Joe is so helpful and extremely knowledgeable and can do any type of work. Not only is he thorough, detailed oriented and he is extremely polite and professional. He helped me assemble a 6 drawer dresser and it came out amazing and he was here for two hours. I also had asked him about other types of jobs that I would need him for. I’m looking forward to having Joe come by again. I have my trust in Joe and you should too! Thank you Joe for your hard work!

Joe is a legit as it gets. He’s got great skills and is very careful and precise. He respects your home as if it were his own. Not to mention that his fees are reasonable. Joe helped me put up a heavy mirror, realigned a bedroom door, put up some blinds and fixed a glass shower door that others said couldn’t be done.
Joe goes above and beyond what’s necessary. Of all of the folks who’ve I’ve dealt with in purchasing a new home, his is the only number that I have in my mobile. What a class act.

Joe was honest, efficient and very accessible. I’ve had him help me out a number of times… to mount a tv on our wall and to assemble numerous pieces of furniture and it was done quickly and for a fair price. He even helped me troubleshoot an outlet issue and figured out why one of my faucets was loose. Thanks so much for your handiness and I can’t recommend you highly enough. You will be our go-​to handyman for certain!

I rarely write reviews (primarily because I forget) but felt this one warranted some effort. Joe was really a lucky find. Sometimes I question the motivation behind online reviews but this was a rare instance where his consistent 5 star rating is absolutely warranted.
He is a precision master. And as someone whose eye (unfortunately) goes to anything that is even slightly off or crooked, he is a god send. He is truly precise– takes his time, gets it right. I concur with all the previous reviews– he is an outstanding professional and an all around kind person. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Joe answered my phone call and kept in touch with me until he came to my apartment to do the job I needed. He was not only punctual, but very professional. I needed a towel bar and a «grab bar» installed in my bathroom. He does excellent work and I’m going to use him for other «handman» services I’ll need in the future. I highly recommend him. If you require accurate precise and clean work done Joe is your man from soup to nuts!
First after a little accident we needed Sheetrock job… He came have an estimate and did the job all within few days … His work was meticulous — he was communicative prompt and vet curteous and diligent in his work and clean up
We were so happy we had him do brick wallpaper on same wall… Again… SPOT ON! he gave us very affordable price and stayed on target with all his time and effort
I very seldomley refer or recommend but he is far more than worthy or both praise and referrals … We will DEFINITELY use him as our GO TO GUY!!! He is sharp as a tack and great at his craft and will never even except a job that was not within his scope of work! Ten stars!!!

Joe’s work was excellent — we had several tasks that needed completing, including taking off old chandelier and hanging new one, running HDMI cable through wall, securing window shades that had become unsecured, fixing placement of hinges on kitchen cabinets, and installing curtain rod and brackets. Joe came ahead of time to inspect everything and provide a money/​time estimate, as well as to coordinate a time and date.
When on the job Joe was highly, was able to get into tight corners (which some of the work required), and did excellent work. For parts that needed replacing, he instructed where to go and what to ask for. I’d highly recommend Joe to anyone with a list of household tasks.

After calling a few professionals, Joe answered my call quickly and though he was busy working on a project, he found some time to come by our apartment to check the problems we had out. Since then it’s been almost 2 months that Joe has been working on fixing things around the building. From installing a mailbox to fixing bathrooms, Joe has been doing an amazing job and charged us very affordable prices! I totally recommend Joe!

Excellent job! He reinstalled the recessed bathroom medicine cabinet that the original contractor had installed incorrectly. He was clean, polite, took his shoes off at the door (unlike every other workman in our house), and prompt. His attention to detail is what you would expect of any high end craftsman. We highly recommend him and will use him again!

If you need ANY type of handy work done in your apartment or home, Joe is your go-​to guy! I found him on Google & Unilocal in search of a handyman right in my neighborhood, specifically to have some painting done and brick-​styled wallpaper installed in my living room and bedroom. Making an artificial brick wall look authentic is quite a challenge, but Joe was able to exceed all my expectations. His paint work was also very neat and clean – there were no random specs to be found anywhere. He pays close attention to detail, works very quickly and diligently. He was able to finish the entire job in just two days! I trusted him with my keys and when I returned home on day 2, I was flabbergasted by his work! He is phenomenal, dependable, and affordable. I highly recommend him for anything you need done in your home! I am sure this is not the last time he will hear from me.

I needed a TV mounted on a wall and so I called Home Advisors and they recommended a couple companies in bay ridge including Yu Handyman. Joe came right away with a wall mount & hung the TV. He was kind and courteous & cleaned up after himself. I have small children & live in an old building, so he was very cautious about the dust. He was so nice and fast and cheap that I have since asked him to return twice to hang plantation blinds & some key hooks. He has a great can-​do attitude and is available on weekends as well. I’m so happy that I found him & would highly recommend him!
