Withers + Grain is a design collaborative with an ever evolving collection, ensuring each piece we create is unique. All of our work is proudly designed and built from our studio. Our primary focus is custom furniture and interior design. We have an in-​house metal studio and wood shop and specialize in sourcing and processing local hardwoods, both reclaimed and in slab form.

History

Established in 2010.

Established in 2010 as The Vintage Industrial. Withers & Grain has designed and worked on numerous spaces throughout New York. A few of their notable spaces are «The Tippler» at Chelsea Market; «Brooklyneer» SOHO, «Mighty Quins» Flagship in the East Village; along with numerous others.

We went to their shop off a little web site search for reclaimed wood tables. A field trip from Manhattan. We asked them to make a 70″ dining room table, Adam and his team were great. It wasn’t a big order, but they made us feel like a big dawg client. So nice, huge attention to detail and pain free. Great price, great piece. Adam delivered it today with one of the guys and it will be our table for many years to come. Thanks! Go here with confidence.

We hired Withers and Grain to design, fabricate and install a whole 2 wall unit. It was a tricky job that many decided to pass on. (built in desk, with antique closet doors from the 1400 ‘s, book shelves, media center etc.)
Everything went very very smoothly. Although the job ended up taking a month longer (which we were ok with) — but at least Wither and grain was very good a communicating the delays and when they reset a new dead line, it was met.
Our new office looks fabulous. I would recommend Wither and grain to anyone. the owners are very diligent and do everything in their power to meet you expectations.
The lines of communications were always open as they were building our unit to keep us reassured on progress and the end results is beautiful.

They go above and beyond to provide their clients with quality, custom-​made furniture you can rely on being long lasting pieces to add to your life collection as you create your dream space. Withers and Grain provided my husband and I with beautiful reclaimed wood dining table, coffee table, desk and shelving unit, each that we’re made to perfection and we expect we will own have forever. Do yourself a favor– before considering going to Crate and Barrel or some other run of the mill spot, go here first! I can’t recommend Withers and Grain highly enough, can I only give them 5-​stars?

These guys installed every bit of custom woodworking at The Tippler– using reclaimed NYC water tower wood and also made the custom shelving behind the bar. They were professional, hard working, fast, and their products are absolutely quality items. They did a fantastic job. They also were artists who creatively came up with practical and beautiful solutions for my bar. I was very fortunate to find them.
I would definitely hire them again.

Adam & Luke at Withers and Grain are simply amazing. They built us a stunning made-​to-​measure cherry wood table which is the centrepiece of our apartment. After almost a year of constant use, it still looks as beautiful as the day they delivered it. We can’t recommend them highly enough!

Beautiful, custom made pieces made from refurbished wood that are both substantial and warm. We hired these guys to make a coffee table as our first ‘real’ piece of furniture after years of temporary or found or plain old flimsy Ikea pieces. 3 years and 2 apartments later, we love how the coffee table consistently helps our home feel both stylish and functionally comfortable. Added bonus to be able to support real people locally making real furniture.
