Vision Associates of Sheepshead Bay

A very detail oriented doctor performs a wide variety of tests and services. Members of my family and I had our glasses and contact lenses (RGP) done here at Sheepshead Bay Vission Associates. Dr. Hammer has a very impressive set of professional equipment that really surprised me, I was a patient to the different eye doctors for 30 years and done numerous optometry’s tests. He spends a good amount of time with a patient, so if you have to wait an extra time, do not get upset. You will also get enough time and attention for the thorough examination. His staff is very pleasant and helpful. They took care of getting an authorization from my union plan and my medical insurance. There are no tricks or sales pressure to switch you from a union’s plan frame to a fancy eye wear. The choice is yours.
A very clean and nice office. A member of his staff speaks Russian, and I personally observed as a young girl was VERY patient with an old Russian man trying to get an authorization for his glasses, so do not hesitate to bring your grandparents for the annual exam. They will get as much attention as they need.
I am very pleased with Dr. Hammer services and I highly recommend his office to anyone who wants a quality care for their eyes.

What a great find! New to the neighborhood, my husband found Vision Associates while coming off the train and he decided to give them a try. Two weeks later, at hubby’s recommendation, I walked in myself. One word sums up the entire experience for both of us…“professional.” We were so impressed the entire step of the way. From Dr. Hammer, the Optometrist, Jeff Bush, to the front desk staff, Kathy, we have nothing but good things to say. Add thorough, patient and fair pricing to the mix. We will both return for certain!

This place is a diamond in the rough. Excellent service and good selection!

I Thought it would be nice to support a neighborhood business. So I checked VSP and found Vision Associates of Sheepshead bay. I walked in and was confronted with a mature female receptionist with the customer service skills of a sledge hammer. Why anyone would subject themselves to such low class service is beyond me. I’ll take my business elsewhere. If I could give no stars I would.
