New York based Urban Myth Studio offers professional photography studio rental for photo shoots and video productions. Rent by the day or half day at one of the lowest rates in NYC.



Built by Photographer & Director Peter Martinez, it provides personalized production service, select equipment rentals and a private 1000sf studio space for your next photo shoot, film production or video.

The studio features a custom made white cyc (infinity wall), large windows with sw exposure, a center room skylight with sliding black out shutter, built-​in hair & makeup station, wardrobe rack and professional clothes steamer and a large, private bathroom with shower. It converts from a natural daylight studio to a full black out in just a few minutes.

The «In house» equipment rentals includes a full selection of daylight balanced strobes & continuous lights (both par and kino type) and a variety of modifiers so you can move seamlessly from still photography to video work. Also available a Canon 5d Mark II with «L» lenses and other support gear.

Located at the intersection of Williamsburg and Bushwick in Brooklyn’s creative hub, the Urban Myth Studio is just 4 minutes walk from the Jefferson stop on the L-​Train.

It’s a crazy time for the film and video industry. The landscape is changing so quickly that it’s hard to recognize the place. Rather than fight the tide, I’ve leveraged my knowledge from years in the business with everything that this Brave New World has to offer. Doing more for less, seeing opportunity in new places, making the impossible… possible.

Times have changed but that’s ok because so have I and its made me a better Director, Editor, Photographer, etc. Jack of all trades and master too. ;)
