Serge communicated with us fast and diligently, he got the job done quickly, and the units are a great switch from the big old noisy wall units that used to be in our building. He also helped us with things like warranty and rebate info. We really appreciate everything he did!

If he got caught in traffic, he called and let me know. He explained everything. He tried to meet my requests whenever it was structurally possible. He was unfailingly polite.

Serge (owner of Tri State) came to us last Fall, after we had had 2 disastrous encounters with people from other companies try to get our bedroom unit to work properly… He spent an lot of time asking questions and examining the installation. Then he quoted a VERY fair price to re-​wire the unit, but cautioned that it might not be the answer to our problems, as the unit, in his estimation, was too small to properly cool the room. The work was in a timely manner, leaving no materials for us to dispose of. He came back a few days later and we realized that he was proved right, and suggested that we move this small unit to a smaller room and get a larger unit for the bedroom. He did not charge for the initial and last service call, although we offered. Since we were leaving for the winter, we agreed to complete the work in the spring. The new unit works beautifully, with no additional damage to our interior wall and the outside work has covered hoses that look great. Again, no debris was left behind. Serge has proved to be a trustworthy, knowledgeable resource with a soft-​spoken manner that is both reassuring and professional. He returns calls/​texts immediately and the work is on-​time, in budget, and VERY neat.

We had our ductless air conditioning system installed by Tri State Air and we are very happy we did. After we accepted the estimate Serge told us exactly what day and time he and his crew would begin the job. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. The four wall units went up and look beautiful. The work outside is very neat and clean with all the hoses and pipes covered very neatly. He took away all the unused material. He tested the system and demonstrated how each room’s remote control functioned. He even helped us go online to register the system with the manufacturer. We would definitely recommend Tri State Air to anyone considering installing ductless air conditioning.

We were very satisfied with the job that Serge did installing our 4 Fujitsu units. He overcame whatever challenges our brownstone presented for installation and we are very happy with the Fujitsu units. I have no qualms about recommending him and Tri state Air.

I used Tri State Air to install central air covering 2 floors and along with a separate unit for another floor. I found Sergei to be knowledgeable and efficient. His pricing was in line with other quotes I obtained. We had a mild misunderstanding about part of the job, but that was easily resolved. Sergei is straightforward in manner, no nonsense, which I appreciated. I have had no problems with the units since his installation.

Serge, the owner of Tri State, was receptive and helpful from the get go. No hard sell. After meeting and getting quotes from a number of other AC installers, settling on Serge was a no-​brainer. Serge arrived on the scheduled install date and began work after ensuring that he was clear on where we agreed the units would be installed. He made sure that all my questions were answered. This was a substantial job which Serge and his crew where able to complete in only two days. We are more than happy with the end result. Serge ensured that all garbage was collected and even went so far as helping us move some furniture. I do not hesitate to recommend his services.

I interviewed may be around 10 contractors before I hired Sergey. I basically gave his a job on the spot when we went through all details and estimates. I am very picky customer and I do a lot of construction projects. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Due my pregnancy I didn’t have a lot of time to pick a day. Sergey and his crew install all units the next day after I offered a job and he came back later to check pressure and connect all electric lines. He also helped to register product and show how is everything works. His price is very reasonable as well. He asked for $ 500 deposit that I didn’t have any problem to give to start a job. Highly recommend his service!

I never take the time to write reviews, even when a service deserves a good one. I’m so incredibly dissatisfied by this company, I’ve decided to sit down and share my experience. I decide to go with Serge and his company because he did a property of an aquaintance of mine. His prices were competitive, a bit higher than others I had inquired with, but his sales pitch and straight forward manner sold me. Fast forward to the installation which was a complete state of hell. He ran the pipes down the front of the building with the water exhausts dripping onto the sidewalk. He told me to put a plant underneath. Mind you, none of this was explained when he sold me his product, Fujitsu by the way, which is clearly cheaper than the Mitsubisu units others had pitched to me. He told me that this ugly and awkward installation could be corrected once the construction next door ended and the scaffolding was removed. So 3 months later I called him when the scaffolding was removed and I was about to replace my siding. He did not return my calls. Finally when I got him on the phone, he said there was no way to correct the way he did the piping. Mind you, I told him, I was more than willing to pay to correct the situation but there was no way I was going to leave a gutter-​type thing running down the middle of my building. He never returned my calls. I ended up hiring another company that installs the same kind of units to reroute his ugly and shoddy installation. It cost me an additional $ 2k. I seriously question the legitimacy of the previous reviewers. I can agree that he is quick to move on the installation, but that was about it. If I can figure out a way to add the photo to this review, or if anyone can figure out a way to contact me via Unilocal,I’m happy to speak with you. This was a $ 15k purchase that was extremely disappointing.

Price was agreed on first visit and was not changed. Small amount of Deposit ($ 500.00). Total price was excellent comparing to all other Contracts we talked during shopping.
All paperwork was done by Serge and he brought Contract and Applications on the day work was implemented.
Units were carefully tested after installation. All pipes covered by moldings.
Debris were removed and team left premises clean.
We will definitely recommend to all our friends.
Planning to do another 2 rooms (Units 9 BTU and 12 BTU).
We received rebate from ConEd (as it was explained by Serge) from previous installation.

I had another contractor scheduled to do my work, who in the last minute tried to mark up the price.
So I was a bit disgruntled about that, that’s when I looked up contractors on Angie’s list to do a HVAC installation on a short notice on units I already had, due to this non ideal sitatuon. I called Sergey Friday, he came by on a Saturday, reviewed the place and gave me a quote right there, he sent me a contract Sunday, came back Thursday with his team to do the installation in one day.
What I liked:
— Sergey came across as very professional and friendly, gave some very good advice on the installation (i.e. with respect to pumps) that I didn’t get from other contractors I had spoken to. He was very transparent on the terms of the contract and explained anything that wasn’t clear.
— The turnaround was exceptionally quick, especially doing the install in a single day for a Tri Zone system, was faster than what I heard from others I had spoken to.
— The price was reasonable compared to others quotes
— What I particularly like is that the installation was done aesthetically well. By that I mean that for example drain, power and heatpump connection was run through the wall on the back of the unit, meaning there were no visible connections, given I have brick walls this is very neatly looking.
Worth Noting: Sergey asked me to make a 500 USD down payment on the day he looked at the unit. Given the short notice of my project (and since I knew what a good price range was) that seemed reasonable to me.
In summary, for a change a great experience with a NYC contractor. Recommended.
