Rude rude rude. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Totally ruined a necklace I had purchased and subsequently ‘repaired’ there and then somehow blamed me for not being specific enough about how I wanted it repaired. It did not even resemble the original. But really, the poor craftsmanship was second only to the belligerence of the shop keeper. When I asked to speak to the owner he claimed to be he. If that has any truth to it, I’m afraid, though they carry some lovely jewelry, they will not survive much longer in the neighborhood.

I used to shop here a lot. Not again. Their sidewalk sign advertises «watch repair.» A tiny piece broke on my watch. I asked a man there to remove the piece from the watch. He said «no problem, come back in a few days.» When I came back, he said it had been harder than he had thought — «the hands fell off when I opened it up.» He said he would call me in a few days when it was finished, and it would cost $ 15. He never called. A week later I went in to check on it. It was ready, and I had to pay $ 20. (There was a different guy working there; he didn’t know the previous deal.) Then I noticed that the second hand was missing. So I went back, and found the original repair guy. He claimed he had told me that the second hand was unfixable. He hadn’t. I said, «Also, you never called me to tell me it was ready.» The guy had no memory of saying he would call. He seemed incapable of saying «I’m sorry.» Even when I made it clear how much I wanted to hear that word, he didn’t make the sounds. Then he said, «Your watch wasn’t even worth my time.» So now he’s insulting me? Incompetence + arrogance = A bad combination. Not recommended.

I just walked out in disgust. I chose a well-​labeled pretty item and as soon as I took out my wallet the proprietor claimed that he’d put the wrong price tag on it and asked me to pay about 20% more than the price on the tag (which was also on all of the identical items). So slimy.

Despite what a few reviewers have said (many of them being from years ago) this store is lovely and the staff is competent and friendly. My girlfriend loves the necklace I bought her here! I have a Casio watch (not ‘jewelry’ but a nice watch) and had accidentally scraped the crystal on a wall, leaving white streaks on the face. I took it here and Avi got me a new crystal which he installed in the amount of time he quoted and at a fair price.

Last week, I dropped off a broken necklace and a dead watch in need of repair. The woman was welcoming and promised to call when the items were ready. I took it upon myself to return today, having received no word and feeling slightly anxious. My anxiety was completely quelled by the gentleman, Avi, who greeted me. Once he realized my items had not been touched, he apologized and went right to addressing the problems. He repaired my necklace in a snap and refused to charge me for it. He then discovered that my watch needed a brand new mechanism and gave me a fair quote on its repair. He was very kind when I said I would have to think about it, and still refused to let me pay him for his professionalism and courtesy. I will Definitely be returning to Treasures!

Don’t waste your time. Took a ring here to be re-​sized. They weren’t open the day thru told me told me to come get it and they didnt pick up the phone when i called for a week. when i went to pick up my ring, a week later, they hadn’t even done anything to it. The woman behind the counter tried desperately to get me to leave it there again so they could finish the job they never even started and i had to walk out. waste of time.

I rarely write Unilocal reviews… but, I felt compelled to warn others. Let me start with the punchline: They may have beautiful jewelry on display, but are not competent at repair. They will ruin your jewelry.
So. I went into Treasures to sell a piece of old jewelry. They offered a fair price and the exchange was made. I then asked if they could size my ring– they responded «no problem». It will be ready Saturday. Well on Saturday, I called. The manager said that there «was a problem and a stone popped out and they don’t have a ‘setter’». I was upset: a) no one called b) they popped a stone out!!. So they offered half off and promised it would be perfect. On Thursday, my ring was ready, and this time, when trying the ring on realized that the smooth back of the ring, now was pointed in a cone-​head type shape. They again took it back, this time saying that it will be perfect when returned and be free of charge. I went back on Saturday for my ring and the stone that popped out, was now laying lower than the other stones and the setting was now crooked (hard to explain but suffice it to say, awful.) I walked out with my ring regretting ever stepping in. NICE PEOPLE– BUT DO NOT GO HERE WITH ANY JEWELRY YOU CONSIDER VALUABLE.

This place was fun to come to and get ear piercings. The man in the store was friendly and accommodating and he reassured our anxious Maha that she would not be in pain. Of course that was a blatant lie, but still-​it made her sit still to get a second hole punched in each ear. Nelly didn’t flinch until we left the store.
We bantered with him about our «criminal» cultural traditions of piercing girls’ ears at birth. We told him it’s just the way it’s done, and he said no. Wait. We still think that it’s fine to pierce a baby girls’ ears. They won’t remember it anyways.
I digress, of course. We browsed a bunch of jewelry and ear marked pieces for upcoming birthdays and events.
I definitely recommend this place for original jewelry and getting more holes in your ears to put it in.

This happened several years ago so it’s old news. I think that my case may still be instructive.
The young women on duty broke my watch (which I had purchased there) when I brought it in to get the battery replaced. I could deal with that — mistakes happen — but then there was NO ONE that I could talk to about this on telephone, or in person. At one point I found the owner at Facets (same owner, at least then). I’d come in with my daughter and she lit up, started asking about ear piercing, until she realized why we’d come in. She refused to accept responsibility for the breaking of my watch for 8 months before finally agreed to replace it.
They have some pretty things, but I’m never buying anything there again.

The clerk here actually locked me in the store. Like locked the door and wouldn’t let me leave.
Here’s the story. My friend bought a ring for me ($ 40, I paid her back for it) and it was too big. I went here to get it sized and they said it would cost $ 20. Great. I left it here.
When I came to pick it up, it was sized correctly, but the dude is like «that’ll be $ 50.» I’m like, they said it would be $ 20. There’s no way I’m paying $ 50 to resize a $ 40 ring, for that price I could just buy a smaller ring.
He’s like, «well then give me back the ring.»
I’m like, «I’m not just GIVING you the ring, it’s my ring, and I was told it would be $ 20 to size it so that’s what I’m paying.»
So the guy goes over and actually LOCKS THE DOOR OF THE STORE! And he’s like, «you’re not leaving until you pay me $ 50.» What the hell!
He’s like, «Pay me now or I’m going to call the police.»
I’m like, «Great! Please do that, please call them. I would love to get the police involved in this!»
At that point the guy I guess realized the absurdity of holding me captive in the store and what he was doing. And how it would look if the police actually came.
So he thinks about it and thinks about it and finally he’s like, «Fine, just give me $ 20.» Which I did and he unlocked the door and let me go.
Definitely the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with any retail establishment anywhere ever. Seriously, don’t go here.

Wish I had checked on Unilocal before I stopped in. My favorite necklace had been somewhat neglected and I decided to stop in and have it cleaned. I was given an envelope to put it in and write my contact information on the front. The guy behind the counter said they had a machine they could put it in for two days that would give me the best results. He said they would call when it was ready, within two days.
A week later, after no call, I was walking by and decided to drop in and see if it was ready and they had just forgotten to call. The woman behind the counter started digging around piles of envelopes, which seemed stacked in a haphazard, disorganized fashion, and then told me she couldn’t find my necklace. I was visibly upset, and said they had had it for a week already, and I was headed out of town in the afternoon and would like to have it back before then. She then rooted through all of the envelopes again, produced the one containing my necklace, and told me she would have it cleaned and ready in an hour. I didn’t understand how one employee told me it would need two days in their machine, while another thought one hour would suffice, so at that point, I simply wasn’t interested, and asked for my necklace back and walked out of the store. What a waste of time.
