The store has a warmth about it. The Stuff is different and very cool. Trailor Park is vintage… tastefully displayed. Chris, the owner has great taste. Definitely not a shlock store!!! We bought the most incredible yellow wooden cabinet and a fabulous bookcase. Oh yeah, I added on an Amish wooden crate that I use as a mini bookcase for my cookbooks. That is very cool! Literally transformed my place!!!

Trailer Park is a wonderful alternative to the other furniture/home décor stores in the neighborhood. I went out a few Saturdays ago looking for something to hang coats on, something to organize magazines, and something to hold placemats and napkins. All of the seventh avenue stores I visited – I’m looking at you, Sterling Place!! – had wonderful, well curated collections of stuff, but they are so prohibitively expensive that I couldn’t feel justified buying even one of those things for myself, let alone all three. I’m so glad I made it up to Trailer Park before bailing and buying some particle board ikea creation. They had a huge array of functional stuff with a lot of personality, and I got two coat racks, a small end table, and a wire basket for less than $ 100. Hooray!

Very cute place. It reminds you from a place in a distant time. Or at least 50 years ago. The furnishings are a mixture of refurbished, brand new, and vintage. We purchased a table and a dresser. Did I mention that these items were 100% real wood? Not particle board. :) The guy who works here was extremely helpful also.

So I’m walking through Park Slope with my Dad after a lovely lunch on 5th Ave when I see a shop called«Trailer Park.» That doesn’t happen too often, right? So without much thought at all I declared that we needed to go inside and started across the street. What could Dad say? He gave me a look that clearly said«you’re weird» and followed me in. Once inside we were greeted by dozens of items that I swear are in my Grandfathers basement right now. Dad must have been reading my mind b/c he actually said«I think you’re grandfather has a couple of those in the basement» while pointing to a set of vinyl suitcases. The entire store is filled, floor to ceiling, with vintage pieces of all sizes and shapes. Big ticket items like tables, chairs and trunks to smaller accessories of baskets & picture frames. The layout and arrangement made it hard to navigate the store and what was more confusing was the location(I think) of the cash register & counter area… It’s hidden behind a huge pile of stuff so you can’t even see the front door if you’re sitting behind the counter. Oh and we were in the shop for a good ten minutes and I don’t think I saw the owner/manager once. I though that was weird. and I can’t forget to mention– I found the store to have a bit of a musty smell… which makes sense if you think about the items inside. While I don’t think I’d purchase anything it was a cool shop to walk through and brought back memories of Gramps. If you’re looking for some nostalgia– stop by Trailer Park

As the old saying goes, one man’s garbage is another man’s treasure. That is why I love vintage stores. At first, I thought this was just a junk yard sale until I realize it’s actual store that just sells junky looking things. Wait until you go inside and you will find some pretty amazing«artifacts.» I found a box full of black and white photos from the 1920s– 1930s. They looked like from someone’s personal collection because a lot of it were family portraits and had handwritten captions on the back of the photos, which were kind of hard to read because the handwriting was so fine and thin. I also found a pretty awesome yet grimy apothecary set of medicine bottles. I couldn’t tell what years they were from but I’d say at least 30 – 40 years ago. It still has some liquid and powder stuff in it, which is the grimy part. As you walk further in, there are a lot of old furniture and gadgets for sale. Old cameras, typewriters, toys, etc. It pretty much felt like a museum but you can purchase the items at pretty reasonable prices. Saw a nice wooden wardrobe that was sold for a mere $ 150. Not sure how much refurnishing or repair it needs but I’m sure it’s still a good deal. Definitely stop by even if you don’t like vintage things but it will definitely leave you mesmerized by the stuff they have collected here.

One of the owners posted a comment to my review, but she neither apologized, nor offered to refund me for the delivery cost or the livery van I had to use. She did say she was«sorry I felt that way,» whatever that means. She also tried to confuse the issue by using the term«free delivery,» and by saying that I lived just up the block, which is not true. What dishonest, conniving people! Why not just apologize and do the right thing!

I am so impressed with this place I wish I could give it more stars. I ordered a farm table, with extensions and a bench for my apartment. I ordered purely based on what I saw on the website. After I shopped around for a while online for other Amish craft furniture, I decided to go with Trailer Park because of their pricing and location. When I called them, a very polite, competent man answered, took my order, answered my questions and was very understanding about some special delivery needs that I had. He called me back a few weeks later to schedule delivery. When the table arrived I was surprised to find out that the person I spoke to on the phone was the same person delivering the table. The whole process from ordering to set up and delivery was seamless and the product is super.

Fun, vintage furnishings for reasonable prices. Some pieces, typically pine wood trunks and bookcases, can be custom-made. They have them produced by Amish carpenters in Pennsylvania and they are charming, well-made pieces. As for the actual vintage pieces, of you like mid-century modern furniture, then this place will thrill you! Even the little accent touches like drawer pulls/handles are adorable and add inexpensive touches to your space. There is a little pink desk I have my eyes on that would brighten any space!

There are so many home décor shops scattered throughout Park Slope that are either A) overpriced or B) truly full of junk. Thankfully, Trailer Park is neither of these things. Don’t be fooled by the stereotyping associated with its namesake, nestled just off 7th Ave. on Sterling Place, Trailer Park is all things quaint and quality. The furniture and wood décor in particular is especially appealing and will make your cramped and cluttered New York apartment look just a little more like that little house on the prairie. Everything from picnic benches and flowerpots to bar glasses and owl artwork will surely transport you into a simpler and slower(in a good way) frame of mind — the kind of therapy benefited from a leisurely walk in the park. Time stands still in this Trailer Park. There is definitive style here in which the owner is going for, so while there is a good deal for sale, it all does tend to have the same look and feel. There is a mix of both antiques and retail offerings, so depending on which, you may encounter some repeat pieces. Thankfully, all of it is beautiful and reasonably priced, so the lack of diversity can be argued to better serve it, as it keeps the place from looking like a junk shop. On our venture, we found two wonderfully Amish-made pieces that we couldn’t leave without — a wooden crate that I’d use to store my record albums and matching foot stool. Next on the list is a coffee table. A few more pennies in the piggy bank and we know just where to spend them.

A ridiculously clean antique shop(well, ok, vintage, reclaimed and recycled shop). Terrific furnishings that will remind you of grandma and grandpa, and some really fun/good decorating ideas. Lots of good furniture(dressers and bureaus, particularly) and several good dining tables. Fun little knick-knackery everywhere you look, too. Some good deals on stuff, but this is an antique shop, not a junk shop — you’ll spend a bit for the stuff(but it’s worth it, methinks).

This place is looks like it belongs in the countryside of Maine. Quaint handmade wooden furniture, adorable antiques at prices not typical of NYC. The staff is super friendly, and whoever does their window display is brilliant.

Trailer Park is the perfect place to go and look for unique country and mid century artifacts and furnishings. If you didn’t grow up in a large city, Trailer Park is the perfect trip down memory lane; as well as a refreshing break from the samo samo of other antique and vintage stores.
