Toys R Us

Nothing changes, place looks like a bomb went off, toys everywhere, nothing where it should be. Open candy and food on shelves, no one cleaning up or straightening the items.
Kids running around unsupervised opening toys. Saw a group of men opening up boxes and just putting things in their pockets. Why bother paying?
If you need help try to use a magic 8 ball, which won’t be where it’s supposed to be anyway.
Asked 2 different staff where I could find a specific item and i was told I have to check at the information desk, you aren’t even going to try to help me? Will be buying online from Amazon from now on

Service is better than the jersey city store as I picked up my merchandise faster. However making in-​store purchase is not recommended as prices are more expensive than the online prices.

Big, clean and spacious. Plenty of parking available. The only gripe is that their merchandise pick up kiosk hung after we scanned our order pick up form. After finding for an associate to help us, we found out that they were already preparing the orders despite the machine hanging. Good job with that. Able to Pick up the order almost right away.

It took a major storm for them to finally renovate this place. I repeat: renovate the actual store itself. The merchandise is rarely up to date with their prices. The merchandise is rarely where you are told it is supposed to be. God be with you if you need help from anyone working the floor. How about those cashiers? Nope… they are a revolving door of people who OBVIOUSLY dont wanna be there (ok maybe not all but MOST of the workers). So why 2 stars instead of one? They have a bathroom. It is as gross as some of the workers but there is one stall in the womans bathroom that usually works. Do not come here on a sunday. Every sunday feels like there is a holiday and it is packed. Becareful of where you walk. I have almost stepped on children that are my height… usually the fault of parents who wont get off their phone

With great customer support and a good variety of products, this is probably the best store to go to for anything toys/​games related. The store is huge and has it’s own parking lot if you arrive by car. The second you enter it’s like becoming a child once again as your childhood memories pass through your head. The store is covered with tons upon tons of different toys for kids. It’s like heaven for kids. Anything they possibly might want is in the store. The products range from games for your system (ps4, Xbox one, etc.), to bikes, to books, to battery powered cars. The selections are endless! The employees are always willing to help you. I highly recommend checking this place out :)

I recently went in to get some random gifts for the kids. My daughter has been asking for Shopkins and couldn’t find them in the past. Found 2 last shopping carts. Wish they had more options. I also ended up getting My Little Pony Blind Bags, Wave 12. She loves her some ponies… lol
I got a train for my son. Got Victor from Thomas and Friends.
The lines were long, but moved fairly quickly. Will be back…

I had to come back after getting home and realizing the item I originally went to Toys R us for was missing and I ended up leaving a satisfied customer! can you imagine?
I came for an Xbox One game for my nephew and they way the gaming department works is that you must pay for the items from that department there. I put the game I needed aside and said I need go get some more things that I really did not need but I get because I have a shopping disorder lol.
When I got home I realized I got everything that I did not need and was missing the game. I had to go back, you could only imagine how I felt and how much I was venting. I called 3 random friends on the way there to vent and was steaming. When I came in and paced to the Video game department the employee apologized instantly and said she realized as soon as I left. How can I flip out on someone who is apologizing for their mistake and to put the cherry on top she sent me to customer service to pro rate the items I had purchase 30 minutes prior using coupons I forgot at first.
I left a happy customer.

Really like this local location stuff is friendly & helpful.
They have everything you can think of in stock, just what you need to develop your kids at any age.

Just the worst. I was on hold for 21 mins, talked to 4 people and was hung up on. These are the dumbest people you’ll find (hopefully) anywhere. Children love monkeys, why not hire a few? They will undoubtably do a better job than the idiots currently working there.

It only makes sense to connect the stores. Before super storm Sandy, it was Babies ‘R’ Us next to a Toys ‘R’ Us, which carries the same baby items such as bottles and diapers. Due to the storm, unfortunately both their stores were flooded and of course, all merchandise were destroyed. They managed to set up shop, that included limited items, in time for Christmas.
Now, newly renovated and finally reopened earlier this year, the stores are finally connected and is much bigger and much organized! There isn’t enough staff throughout the store and cannot find help when I need it. Also because of the limited staff, expect a wait by the Guest Services if you are picking up merchandise.
Be sure to look out for coupons and sales! Also, get your research done and get a even better deal with price match!

Much bigger now since renovation after sandy. Now babies r us and toysrus is fully connected! Its much and wayyyyy roomy now. I still perfer buying from amazon, i just come in when i either have giftcards or coupons they send me.
Did i mention i love the fact they have a buyers protection plan offered to specfic product catorgories? I purchased a bike for my son, good thing the cashier told me to buy it just in case, cost $ 15 for 15month coverage. not bad right? Anyways, the brakes on the bike stopped working, scary! I called it in and not even 10 minutes on phone, they said they mailing me a store credit card in the amount i purchased the bike for, all i hade to do was mail in copy of receipt!

What a mad house it was when I went. Customers all over, shelfs were still in stock. not a lot of promo signs or employees to help either. We went in for a bike was shocked we had to wait 24-​hours to have them put it together. But we out of a lot left happy because there were two bikes the same that was made and put on display. Sadly my daughter still isn’t riding the bike! .soon though! I give this store enough stars, because even under pressure this store was still going at it and it was a messing hole on the wall. Store was still keep clean and stocked.

Number one, don’t come here on a Sunday! I repeat DON’T COME ON SUNDAY! It’s ridiculously packed with kids.
Ok I like the renovations, it took a hurricane for them to finally realize that they haven’t renovated since Cesar bazaar was still there… I do like that you have babies r us & toys r us together, but I do feel like the babies r us lost space & is a lot smaller, I don’t know could be all in my head.
I went there last Sunday to purchase my three year old a bike, while trying to get near the bikes, which took about 10 minutes because there was a whole bunch of Jewish families with about 7 kids each with them. Finally found a bike he liked and had to take it down myself, he rode it far away from the bike section because like I said it’s packed! I finally found someone who worked there, asked him a few questions about the bike, and got a humming yes or no answer instead of actual words… talk about attitude & rude! Like I’ve said before, and I will say it again, if you don’t like your minimum wage job, than go back to school, get a degree and get yourself a career in which you will be happy at. Don’t be miserable & take it out on paying customers who would just like to purchase a damn bike on a nice Sunday afternoon!
On our way to the cash register to pay for the bike and get the hell out of this place, I noticed a toddler, had to be no older than one years old wondering around with absolutely no adult even looking for the toddler, as a mother I flagged down an employee to tell him that this child seems unsupervised, as we all walked to the front of the store about SIX isles down, the mother (a Russian woman) grabs the child and says she’s mine, it seriously took everything in me not to rip her a new one!
Overall between the crowds, the entire Jewish community, the lost child, and rude employees, I was DONE! Next time I will order from the web site!

I used to frequent this Toys R Us as a child, so returning was a bit of a trip to the past for me. Unfortunately, this visit was filled with a rude awakening. Be warned: this Toys R Us has prices that match the ones in Times Square. Unlike the other Toys R Us stores I visit in New Jersey, which generally align with Toys R Us’ online pricing, this one kicks things up several notches. For example, one action figure currently listed at $ 14.99 on the web site goes for $ 18+ in this store.
I’d recommend pulling up whatever you item you want to buy on your phone and seeing if they’ll price match it, otherwise it’s not worth it.
Otherwise, the store is clean and the shelves were a bit messed up, but that is to be expected so close after Christmas. It seemed a bit darker in this store than most but that may be an artifact of its layout. Either way, I won’t be beating a path to this Toys R Us again any time soon.

It’s a typical Toysrus, big and usually stocked with what you are looking for. What I like about it is the sale/​clearance section. Whether it’s Christmas, Halloween, etc any leftover toys and candy will be at least half off. Try to get that at the Times Square location, it wont happen.

Dude. It was closed when I went there. Need I say more?

After all these years they still sell a nice selection of baseball and football cards when most other places gave up on the hobby… thank you Toys R Us!

I have to give this place 5 stars because of my beautiful baby childhood memories. Yes I’m a Toy’s R Us Kid! I remember my dad saying lets go to Toy’s R US and I would be estatic! I would walk in and just run all over and try out the new toys.
Only if I can be a kid again, I would!

What an awful experience at this location. I buy some jeopardy electronic game thingy and get it home. The thing does not work and when I opened the fucking plastic covering that seriously was made to not deter shoplifting but to annoy customers I noticed it was a used item. I bring it back the next day and go to the customer return section. The lady says to me «why you returning this?» I state «it does not work»…she actually replies «you sure?»…no I wanted to come back here and hopefully trick you out of $ 50 (which is what this item was worth). She gives me a dirty look and says «be right back» and waddles to the back of the store and comes back and says «you can not get a refund, just an exchange».
I was kind of pissed because this item seriously blew. Even though it seemed used we were like «what the hell» and kept it. Hooked it up to our tv and it was just full of glitches, froze a few times and was way off when you used the controllers. Just a bad game that needs to be taken off the shelves. I explain all of this to her and say I do not want this item, can I get at least a store credit.
I do not need my money back, I will buy something else here. She said ok and then called someone and got off the phone and said, «sorry I can not do that, you need to exchange this item for another one». I am an ebay regular, so in my head I am like whatever let me just get an unopened one, get the hell out of this shit hole and sell it on ebay for a cheap price.
I go and check… no where to be found… I check the location where just 2 days earlier I had gotten it from and it was replaced with a new item. I checked all over and finally came back to her and said they do not have any on the shelf. Well you would have thought I just told this lady she had gotten a parking ticket or was being fired… she was so annoyed, rolled her eyes and again waddled away mumbling something. She went towards the location where the games were and after 10 minutes of waiting alone at the return section, she came back breathing all heavy from the exercise she was getting today and said «you were right, they have none, I guess its your lucky day». She went on to say if they did not have any on the shelf you get a store credit.
Finally…finally…something going my way… half way through writing up some paper work she stops and says «oh wait let me check if they have some in the back»…ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!! Its been 30 minutes of games here… just give me the god damn credit and let me go buy some other shit item from this place. She calls someone and says «ok we have a few in the back, be right back»
WADDLE…WADDLE…WADDLE
Back she comes with a brand spanking new jeopardy game. She scans it and then grabs a box knife… oh boy this is just getting better by the minute… she attempts to open the box… I go «what are you doing?»…she says «we need to open this, so you cant go to another location and return it» She starts jabbing at it again and I just stand there laughing to myself and feel like Ashton Kutcher is going to pop out and say you have been Punk’d.
Amazed…I stand there watching this lady try to slice open the item to no avail. She stops and says, «ok I cant open this, I will just mark the item». She prints out my receipt… grabs a sharpee and writes all over it «item has been opened… do not allow return, only exchanges»
I take my item, bid the lady a good day and walk out just dizzy from this experience… yeah it is safe to say that I will not walk back into this location again… unless of course I am bored and want some good entertainment from the waddling box cutter wielding customer service lady.
Oh and I wound up selling the item on ebay for $ 50. Yay me… I guess.
