Time Shred Services

Used this company for the first time today and wow — what a great service. I just made the appointment yesterday (9.10.15) and I had an appointment range of between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The person (sorry, did not get his name) called me at around 10:50 to say on his way and arrived around 11:15. Filled up the 300 pound bin to the top, went down and watched on the little video monitor as it all got eaten up by the giant inside the truck. So amazing to watch years worth of papers gobbled up in about 5 minutes (if even that long). I will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend!

I used Time Shred for the first time today. Angela and Meghan were friendly on the phone and gave me an appointment with a 4 hour window. The driver was a little late to my apartment, but there was post-​holiday backup and traffic. Lindley the driver was kind and explained the shredding process to me. He took me to his truck and I watched on a monitor all my 7 boxes of papers shred within minutes. He was thorough and trustworthy. I recommend Time Shred! The cost was $ 95 plus tax for up to 10 boxes.

Well let’s start by saying they definitely got the job done. I had a residential appointment for shredding and once they FINALLY got there all went well. It was quick and easy and as another reviewer mentioned you can watch the shredding on a monitor. I was able to pay with a credit card right there on the spot. Easy breezy. My issue is the time window that they gave me which was from 8 – 1 and the guy showed up around 1:45 pm. When I called that morning to confirm my appointment I was told I was the 4^th appointment and they would be there around 10 or 11 am. Well now it’s after 1 pm and nothing yet. I called the office back several times and was told that they were on the way. Just 20 more minutes. Ok well fast forward to over a hour later and he finally showed up after passing my apartment building and taking another 15 minutes to circle around and come back. As someone else mentioned no one in the office offered any compensation or discounts which I think would have been appropriate for wasting so much of my time. No apologies or anything. So to sum things up I was satisfied with the ease and convenience of the job they did but they really need to work on punctuality and promptness. They should realize that their customers time is valuable. If they get that corrected it would be 5 stars.

This firm wasted my Saturday afternoon. Set up a residential appointment (and also got a confirmation email from them) and was given a large window of 1−5pm. No call, no email, nothing, just a no show. First time reaching out to this service and the LAST time. Don’t waste your time, just avoid.
CORRECTION: They called just after 5pm to l“let me know” they would be running late. I told them to forget it. After wasting my entire afternoon I was not about to waste any additional time on them.

Excellent service! Called on Wednesday; they were here on Thursday. $ 85 + tax for a giant bin that holds about 10 banker boxes. They gave me a 4-​hour window and called me when they were on the way. The gentleman who came was friendly, pleasant and professional. I watched every shred of paper go through the shredder on a video monitor and he even checked for the tiniest pieces that might get stuck. They come to residential buildings, which is great because I work from home. Will definitely use again and recommend to everyone!

I use Time Shred for my business in Park Slope. We call them about once every 2 weeks and get superb service from Megan and the drivers every single time. We’ve used several document shredding services over the last few years and Time Shred has put the others to shame (including big name companies)! Highly recommended.

Excellent service. I needed to have years of files cleaned up in my office to prepare for renovations. I even tried to do it manually. Big mistake. The price quote from time shred was very reasonable. 95 $ plus tax. The driver came between the time specified. Made 2 trips to haul away my papers. 15 mins later all done no headaches. Thanks time shred. Highly recommend. Will use again in a heartbeat.

Used them to shred years worth of financial papers. The minimum was $ 79 but they did let us know in advance that amount of paper we said we had was a lot less than what would fill into the bin and so we added more too it. A great chance to clean out closets — they even took books. The only down side was that they came around 2 hours after they said they would. Still better than proshred who just never showed up.

I requested a quote online 2 weeks ago and was contacted by Joe the following day and offered me a $ 79 quote for the 96 gallon bin. I apologize for forgetting the name of the driver that showed up at my door today (it could be Tom, not sure), but he was so helpful, and on time He helped me load up the entire bin in less than 3 minutes and explained the entire process and allowed me to watch the shredding process street level. I even got rid of a hard drive from an old computer for $ 10 more. In an instant, over 13 years of financial documents and other misc personal documents were destroyed. I couldn’t have been happier with the service I received from beginning to end. Don’t look anywhere else if you need this type of service. Shred-​it quoted me over $ 250 for the same service and 2 other big name services (1 with a dinosaur logo) never even called me back. I will definitely use their services again and recommend to friends and family.

They were supposed to show up at residential location between 1 and 3pm. Megan told me it would be closer to 1. at 3 pm when they didnt show i called Megan again, who told me the driver was 15 blocks away. Driver showed at 3:50pm. Driver said he no where near where Megan said at the time. After paying Megan on the phone, no apologies or discounts. I would look elsewhere!

Awesome! Anthony drove over in the huge shredder truck and brought a large bin to my apartment which fits 10 bankers boxes worth of paper. We loaded the bin and he wheeled it to the shred truck. The truck picks up the bin and dumps the contents into the giant shredder while you watch on a screen via a video camera. You also get to see the output of shredder on the screen. Quick and easy, $ 86 for this service.

Excellent! I submitted a request for a quote from the website and Megan gave me a call to tell me the details and generate a quote, which is very reasonable especially for a residential job. Scheduling was very easy as they only need a days notice.
John, came on-​time as scheduled, was very courteous and explained the whole process. They bring the bin up to your apartment and will even take you to the truck to watch the whole shredding process so that you can be assured that your documents are completely destroyed.

I drove there and dropped over shredding (note you need to call first). Overall, it worked out well — definitely check out the street view so you know you are at the right place. It’s a giant brick building with no windows. The loading dock area will have some dudes there to help you.

Awesome — they’ll give you a quote over the phone — Drive on down there & they honor the price given (cheap, by the way) & gone are your years of unwanted documents & junk mail. SHRED IT! :)
