The UPS Store

First time when I went there to return my textbook, the people were really nice. It was a tight space with all the boxes everywhere though.

I have had my mail delivered here not even one month and they have already lost my packages. What’s most annoying is that the OWNER first tried telling me the post office often delivers to the ups stores on 3^rd accidentally. When I told him I called both and neither had it he tried telling me the post office probably delivered it to an entirely different 8225 5^th ave. this location is always a mess and it wouldn’t be surprising if they lost it. Funny thing is, I order online and ship all the time for my business and it is very rare the post office actually loses packages. So he picked the wrong person to pull the ol blame the post office trick. I also explained to him that since the tracking says it was delivered to the correct location I will never get refunded not a chance. I know this because I ship orders all the time. It’s not very good that he simply blames the post office for his stores mistakes. this store also frequently opens late and it’s the owner who arrives late to open. The owner seems to be the issue at this location.

I had walked in to the ups store a few days back just to ask some questions about shipping. The lady at the counter had very excellent customer service. She greeted me with her name and answered all the questions that I had. Even the one question she didn’t know the answer to, she looked it up and found out for me. She’s great. Her name is Zahia and she has dark hair and glasses. Go in when she’s there, she’s a real sweetheart.

So here’s the deal. I’m a regular customer at this place and I utilize many of their services. I know what I’m doing so it makes things go much smoother. For example. if I’m sending a package, I have everything packed in the appropriate sized box, taped and ready for their label. Otherwise the service is very mediocre. The older guy with the glasses, well he’s the boss. If you’re friendly and polite, you’ll be ok but I’ve seen him have his moody days. The blondish haired kid with glasses, that’s his son. He’s ok. Never had a problem. The other young guy with short dark hair who I like to call «sensitive», well he’s ok. Never had a problem. The dark haired lady with glasses who’s name is Zarina (I think, not totally sure), she’s ok too. But that dirty blonde haired, spoiled brat, rude girl? She’s terrible! Her name is Sandra or Samantha. Can’t remember. So anyway when the boss is around, «rude girl» is sweet as warm apple pie. But if she’s there when the boss is not around, watch out. Saturday’s are the worst so go at your own risk because usually «rude girl» and «sensitive guy» are there and they have the place to themselves. No boss-​man on Saturdays. If you have to go there for anything, as soon as you walk into the store, «rude girl» is treating you like you’ve disturbed, bothered or interrupted her from her laziness and you’ll feel like she can’t get rid of you fast enough. If you have a question, you can pretty much forget it because she’s had enough of you already and please would you just get the hell out and leave her alone. If «sensitive guy» is there with her, he’s powerless to stop her from being so darn rude. He pretty much continues along quietly. On some occasions they have their friends over and they’re all behind the counter laughing and giggling and not taking things seriously. Customers? Who cares about the silly customers. We have some gossip to spread! That’s their attitude. Why do I go this location? Simply because of the convenience. Good luck.

As usual, I came in to print and they were very helpful !! my document wouldn’t open up on their computer, however, they were super helpful and allowed me to email them my document so they can print it out. Also, the font I had chosen came out too dark and was barely eligible, but the owner was very understanding. He changed the font for me and reprinted it, it was 55 pages ! Very helpful, thank you !

This was some of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The guy and girl sitting behind the counter today looked like they couldn’t be bothered with helping a customer. Overall, they were very unhelpful with a problem I had and basically just told me they couldn’t help and to resolve it myself. The next time I need something for shipping purposes, I’ll be sure to go to FedEx down the street.

Just tried coming here to drop off some packages. Stood outside in 30 degree windy weather for 15 minutes. I understand if you don’t open early, but when you’re a post with relatively limited hours, is on time too much to ask?

Staff, adolescent; dismissive; rude; does not follow consistent protocol; inconveniences customers upon attempting to attain packages delivered to business, per UPS My Choice.

Oh my god, I am so peeved right now! I dropped off a dress at this store with a USPS label for a Poshmark customer since I got out of work after the post office was closed. I paid two dollars extra and bought a box for it to be delivered. The UPS clerk told me that he would take care of the packaging. That was on Wednesday. I checked the status yesterday and noticed that it was never scanned. I called the store and they told me that it might have been shipped to the wrong address. I went in today in person to show them a picture of the dress and the clerk who was there today told me that it might be the dress according to the girl who shipped it off. But that the lady who received it is saying that it’s not the dress since it’s a different color. The next thing I’m told is that I need to wait for their boss to come back on Wednesday to find out where my dress may have gone. Hopefully I will not lose my first Poshmark customer because of their discrepancy.

I went to get an important document notarized. However, the man at the front desk used a stamp with a 2012 expiration date. He crossed off the date in pen and wrote «2016». When I questioned him about this, he became very short with me and ultimately crossed off the whole stamp. Not only did he fail to do what I needed, his actions voided the whole document, preventing me from getting it notarized elsewhere until I can obtain an official replacement. I really wish I had read other reviews before going to this location!

I had to use this location to drop off a return to Amazon… glad all I needed was print label and reseal bag for return.
Came in here and had package scanned and got a receipt for drop off. Wow so simple and easy. Service was kind and friendly.

Okay, so what the fuck?
I needed to ship back my textbooks and this was the nearest ups around my place. I was speaking nicely but this old man decides to give me an attitude like excuse you. Also, I wanted to find out if my package was going to be postmarked today and the man told me no because it’s Sunday and we don’t ship on Sunday. Okay, that I understand but can you lose the attitude? I am a customer and if that’s how you treat your customers, this place definitely needs to be closed down.
With that attitude, there’s no need for a surprised face when I leave without a thank you after the many times I’ve already said it.
Don’t know what’s up with him.

This place is the worst!!! For the simply reason that I had to print some important documents urgently. I woke up early to hear by 8, cuz I needed to be somewhere at 10 with the documents. I get there and guess what? They aren’t open!!! Despite the sign and the messages recording stating that they open at 8am. But I’m desperate so I decide to wait for a bit, praying that the person in charge is just running late. Nope, by 8:30 I had to give-​up and find somewhere else. Needless to say, I was unbelievably late to my appointment. Smh, what kind of business are you running?

Worse customer service EVER!
I was charged for a box that was never used to mail my package, the owner is rude beyond belief!
Also he’s the notary as well who uses an expired stamp which isn’t valid! DO NOT even bother using these people!
When we went back to get a refund for the invalid notary… their response was, we cant help you, he’s out of town, we don’t do refunds!
I hate that I live so close to this place because I cannot use their services… they are horrible in every aspect!

Stopped in to print out a document and mail off a letter, the lady working was very friendly and offered superior customer service. Her friendliness gives this store 5 stars.

If negative 5 stars were an option that’s what this place would be rated. The one guy there is so RUDE. He doesn’t care about the customers at all and he nickel and dimes you for everything, even a foot long piece of tape.
Put simply go somewhere else there is an other ups store a few blocks away on 93^rd st.

My printer decided to hate me at a really inconvenient time so I went to the closest ups store I could find and that was a huge MISTAKE!
Seriously? 45 minutes for their crippling slow ancient computer to get it together and let me print something out? Oh please. Would it really kill you to do maintenance on your only computer?!
Not to mention while I was sitting there waiting both of the employees in the store at the time were rude to almost every customer that came.
Go somewhere else.

$ 2 for a notary — the usual fee. $ 3 to make one black and white copy from my flash drive — not cool. I also did it myself on the hokey pokey computer that has a piece of cardboard for a front cover. Person at counter looked like he was mad.

So a lesson to all of you about to ship UPS: DO NOT pay for your shipping at these locations. Go online to
and print your own labels and then drop it off at the UPS Store. The UPS Stores all charge a ridiculous premium to print shipping labels. In this store’s case, a $ 21 shipping cost to the west coast cost a whopping $ 56.
What a rip off! Never going to that store ever again.

So last week I ordered 4 pairs of VS yoga leggings. I ordered them in large… even though I have lost some weight, I thought I’d still be able to fit a large… turns out I’m not as big as I think… LOL
I was going to keep them because I didn’t want to go through the trouble of looking for a UPS store to return it… I thought these stores were rare and hard to find… I POYNT the business and it turns out, there’s one sorta near where I live. Seeing the location I thought it was going to be small or a store within a store.
The store was easy to find. It’s right on the corner of 83^rd Street and 5^th Ave…
The guy that helped me with my return package was very helpful… I saw that they closed at 6:30 and I got there 5 mins before they closed and I did not feel rushed at all…
Anyways, I am glad to know now that there’s a UPS Store close by…
