All our speech and language therapists are highly trained professionals who have a M.S. in Speech and Language Pathology, NYS license and national Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

All speech language therapists are trained in:

*Orton Gillingham reading and writing intervention program

* Hanen programs for parents and educators of children with language and literacy delays

We are approved by the NYS Department of Health to provide Early Intervention speech language therapy and special education services to children birth — 3 years.

The Speech Garden is focused on providing high-​quality speech and language services to Brooklynites in Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and surrounding neighborhoods. The Speech Garden prides itself on making your search for a local, quality speech therapist as easy as possible.

Meet the Business Owner

Christine G.

Business Owner

Christine Genna M.S. CCC-​SLP, TSSLD founder of Brooklyn’s Speech Garden, is a state and nationally certified speech language pathologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-​Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and she is certified as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). Christine has conducted research on the positive effects of mindfulness meditation on therapy efficacy; and employs a mind-​body approach when treating the whole child. Additionally, Christine has pursued post-​graduate education in training parents of children with language differences and delays. She recognizes the importance of involving parents in their child’s early language intervention, and enjoys empowering caregivers through teaching practical and powerful language facilitation strategies.
