The soup is good I tried most of them, but here is the catch they know it is in parkslope and they have to pay their rent, but for a medium chicken pot pie is like $ 8.00 is so uncalled for and their prices are on the high side

I love their soups. I had the Long Island Clam Chowder and it was the best chowder I’ve had in years. The prices are high but unfortunately the neighborhood is getting worse for rising prices, so I’m not surprised. I would definitely recommend having one of their soups.

It’s ok. The soup wasn’t hot when it was served. Not a lot of soup for the money. $ 7.24 for a medium. The business is cash only.
If you’re looking to eat a meal, this ain’t it. Soup isn’t a meal Jerry.
If you want to sample some soups, check this place out.
But it’s not a lot of soup for the amount they charge.

Decent soup. I’ve tried 3 different kinds, 2 vegan and 1 with chicken. The vegan soups were both way over salted and the chicken soup needed salt. However all were tasty and clearly fresh, and it’s nice to find a place with lots of plant-​based choices. Service is pleasant and they’ll give you tastes. It’s a bit pricey (to be expected folks, it’s Park Slope): $ 7 for a medium soup, but it is a fair sized portion. Get your soup to go, not exactly dine-​in atmosphere.

I’ve tried four different soups (Turkey Chili, 3 little Pigs, caramelized Brussel sprouts and baby spinach, broccoli green cabbage) and all of them have been fantastic. Eagerly awaiting tomorrow so I can come back and try another! ;)

Awesome selection of soups. At least 10 on the menu when I went in… I had the medium Crab Bisque and it was very very good. I work in Brooklyn and when I am near here I will soon be back that’s for sure.

The lobster butternut squash bisque is excellent, as is the fresh sourdough bread. This place is tiny, with only 3 tables, but definitely worth the trip!

This place is awesome! Tons of selection and vegan selections too, which are clearly labeled with a green bullet mark. Small seating area to get out of the cold, but they have soup to go as well. I could eat here every day and be happy probably.

Was on my way to visit a friend at Methodist Hospital who can only have soup. I picked up 3 soups. Lobster butternut squash bisque, long Island clam chowder & sweet potato celery root. All 3 were met with mmm OMG these are delicious! The hospital should get their soups from these guys. Thanks for making my friend’s hospital stay a little more enjoyable

I love this place in the winter. But they need to make it more obvious on Unilocal that this place is CLOSED during the summer. It was the the first cold day of the season last week and the only thing I wanted was a steaming cup of soup from my go-​to local place.
In a daze, I thought I was going crazy when all I saw was the ice cream shop at 319 7^th ave. Now I know that they swap out soup for ice cream and I’m anxiously awaiting its return!

I am obsessed with their soups especially when it is so cold out. I frequent this place often and love the New England Clam Chowder. It’s so satisfying.

This place is a winter time dream come true. I have yet to have a soup that is not fantastic. You can sit in the steamy window and watch all the poor freezing suckers march past as you’re enjoying your bargain prices fantastic soup. It’s a small and wonderful thing to look forward to in a cold and soul sucking Brooklyn winter.

Best damn soup place, IT IS OPEN SEASONLY, it takes over the ice cream store in the winter.
Everything I’ve ever had hear is mindblowingly good, soup comes with a generous portion of delicious French bread. Its a bit pricy, but worth every penny.
I literally waited all summer and fall for the store to come back and I’m so freaking excited to get my nom on.

Whoever knows me well enough knows that I love soups, especially during the winter time. Man, today was windy and cold. Perfect time to get a bowl of soup from The Soup Bowl of Park Slope.
The Soup Bowl of Park Slope has different soups each day. Check out their website for the soup menu of the day. There are 4 different sizes and it’s cheap. Btw, forget about sitting in because they have very very limited seating.
I ordered a medium Lobster Butternut Squash Bisque. The soup also comes with a side of bread. You can smell the lobster and butternut squash flavor. The soup was very creamy, rich, and sweet. Just a wonderful soup to have on a chilly day.
The staff here are super friendly, although I suggest you know what you want to order in advance because this place is very small and they want to keep the business going without any waiting.
Overall a good place to get soup on a cold day or night. It will warm you up.

Listen, I normally hate soup, so much that in fact, this is a distinctive characteristic I use to describe myself with (Hi, my name is Vicki. I like distance running, design, and I HATE SOUP), however, I am a huuuuuge fan of The Soup Bowl when it’s under 30 degrees outside.
The staff, while not overly friendly, are efficient and accommodating when I’m indecisive (another characteristic of me) and want to try ALL of the vegetarian soups. I’ve yet to try something that wasn’t delicious here, and am looking forward to trying the risotto soon (as long as it’s veg friendly, that is!).
You also get bread with your soup which, as a carb-​fiend, makes me an insta-​fan.

First of all, I love the soup selection and prices. The two things that make me like the place.
I gave a potato and fresh herbs soup a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t spectacular, despite homemade taste. The drawback was that the soup was so salty I couldn’t taste the herbs, salt overpowered all other flavors. And I love salt, but not when it’s all I can taste. I am not sure if other soups are like that, so I would give this place another try when I am in the area.
Again, prices really can’t be beat. You would pay twice as much at hale and hearty.

This soup shop operates in the same space as Uncle Louie G Ice Cream, which closes for the colder months (and returns with the sun). So basically it’s a Nov-​Mar. romance.
But what a terrific affair.
Each day the owner, a chef with a long pedigree in NY dining, offers 15 or so home made soups, chilis and chowders, which seemingly rotate so you never get bored. Examples from today included: Serious Split Pea; Roasted Shallot Potato; Spice Acorn & Butternut Squash; Yellow Split Pea Shiitake Tomato; Salmon with Peppers, Chorizo & Tomato, etc.
They offer a number of different portion sizes and are extremely well priced. My cup of Lobster Squash Bisque (see photo) with a slice of fancy bread and a bottled water, was a whopping $ 3.99. Can’t beat that for a chef-​made lunch on 7^th Ave. Also nice: soup’s all they serve so it’s super fast.
Note: it’s a tiny place with just a few small tables, so be prepared to picnic or grab-​and-​go. They only sell bottled water, so if you need sugar/​caffine, there’s a coffee shop and bodega next door. Also, unlike a certain soup vendor of Seinfeld notoriety, these folks are the Soup Nightingales… extremely polite and souper friendly.
If you’re looking for a casual affair this winter, try putting your lips around what’s simmering here. Everyone needs a good slurping from time to time.
