I think the owner posting such a response shows you what kind of acrimonious, vindictive person she is and another reason not to go here. I did not lie about anything. And if anything, she is being dishonest as there is no notification to clients of this so-​called 72 hr policy and I have the text to prove that said 48 hrs at the time, now it’s 72 hrs. Even had I contacted them 3 days later when they were open again, she said «there is nothing I can do if it wasn’t w/​in 48hrs». Not to mention she said give it a few days to a week to settle. Also, I was told the style could last up to 2 – 3 weeks; I wasn’t planning on keeping it that long, but that is a dishonest claim as you can see from the pictures what it looked like w/​in 12 hours of getting it done. In any instance, there is always going to be «nothing I can do» because that is how she does business. Beware: the phrase «the customer is always right» does not apply at Beauty Boutique and they will not help you even when they do a bad job.
Update: To Nilijah: I’m not going to respond after this comment. I see you keep changing your comments: first, you make up some 72 hr policy that you share with clients, when it seems you don’t even know what policy is as it keeps changing so you’re definitely not sharing it with clients. Then, you call me a liar and now you fabricate some story about why I’m writing the review. Had you actually read my 1^st review instead of just going off because you cannot handle criticism, I explain that I educated myself on hair care, started styling my hair myself w/​the counsel of a friend. So I haven’t had a hard time finding a salon as I haven’t been looking. Working with you was enough to put me off from salons for a lifetime, and if I do go back, maybe I’ll post a review so you can stay up-​to-​date on my salon adventures. Also, I stated why I waited to post the review, plus I happened to be on Unilocal writing reviews of a few businesses that I have been to and your salon came up as a suggestion. It’s really not that dramatic. Learn to take criticism and, if you choose, build a better business from it. The end.

This is my first Unilocal review and im very happy i found this place its an Amazing salon! Very clean and everyone is very friendly. My hair is very difficult to match when coloring extentions and Orlando slays it every time! I’m always extremely happy with his work :) He is Amazballs with color hair too, I wanted a pink ombré extention and Orlando killed it I now a regular at this place :)

Great place, great conversation, friendly staff. Orlando extremely talented young man. I left everything up to him and ended up very satisfied. He took me from plain to marvelous, I definitely recommend him!

I went in knowing that I wanted the ombré but had no idea what color would go best with my dark skin tone. Orlando listened to my concerns andmy basic idea of what I wanted. I think many dark toned females are hesitant to experiment with color but Orlando has an eye for this and can ombré in his sleep because he some how came up with the most Amazing color to match my skin tone the ombré was everything I imagined and more… I left the salon with beautiful color for an amazing price. People stop and stare and ask all the time about the color I wish I can refer everyone to Orlando my new go to guy; so happy I found someone I could trust with my hair!!!

Nilijah has been my stylist for the past 4 years. She did a fab job on my hair when it was short and permed and continues to keep me happy now that I’ve transitioned to wearing my hair natural. The beauty boutique team focuses on keeping my healthy, which is demonstrated by the condition of my hair each time I walk out the door. The compliments are endless when your hair is done at The Beauty Boutique.

Booked a spur of the moment appointment with Orlando to get a full head coloring and the salon was very accommodating. Very friendly and professional ownership, and my color came out fantastic!
Getting your hair colored at a new salon is always nerve wrecking but Orlando made it a very comfortable process, talking through my options and the process with me. I’ll definitely be back for maintenance and styling. They love hair here and it shows, I’d definitely recommend the salon to friends

I first visited this salon in the dead of winter ¹⁄₂₀₁₄ for a wash & condition blow dry and cut. The owner Nilijah (I’m positive I just spelled that wrong) was very accommodating and very welcoming. I was very pleased with my results b.c. my hair had started to break and I was prepared to do the BIG CHOP !!! to my surprise it (my hair) wasn’t as bad as I thought and she saved way more than I ever imagined. My hair (which she flat ironed) came out fabulous as if I just got a perm (no perm in 10 mths & counting). My hair grew a lot, I have since been back for the same styling and remain very pleased.

I’m not one to write reviews, but this was a truly great experience. I’ve always rolled my eyes at people who put that a salon has a «nice environment» and always just skip to the parts about the results, but I’ve realized today that that is because I’ve never had an actually GOOD experience at a hair salon. I walked in without an appointment expecting to wait anywhere from 30 mins to an hour and a half. Not so. Nilijah engaged me as soon as I walked in, rather than ignoring me for 5 minutes, let me know there would be a slight wait because I didn’t have an appointment and less than 10 minutes later I was getting my hair washed. The shop was clean and cool, Nilijah was very personable, and my hair looks amazing. She gave me a lot of tips on how to keep my hair healthy and when I explained that I’m trying to wean myself off of relaxers she was supportive. I’m used to dealing with people who tell me I’m going to have to cut off all of my hair or who discourage going natural, but Nilijah promotes healthy black hair and is very knowledgeable on how to achieve beautiful results without using chemicals. I’m definitely going back and recommending her shop to all my friends!

I just got my full head weave cut in a bob and colored here. It turned out perfect. I am afraid of light colors but my stylist was so confident and encouraged me along the way. The process was quick and simple. They honored my appointment and I left very pleased. I have gotten endless compliments on both the cut and color. The best part was how my stylist Orlando slayed my edges! The edges of my hair are left out to blend with the weave and I don’t have a perm/​mixed hair (coarse 4c hair). He did some magic and now it blends seamlessly.
All of the stylists are very personable and friendly. I don’t get that vibe from many salons which is such a shame. I actually enjoyed my time here.
The only critique I have is the coupon I purchased on Unilocal is not valid for color treatments. On the other hand, I will be going back when I take out my weave to treat my natural hair. They are specialists at natural coarse hair from what I’ve seen. I highly recommend this salon!

My previous stylist left the profession to attend college in another country. I was referred by a coworker after a desperate search for a new stylist. I was very pleasantly surprised. I wear my hair natural the majority of the time, but do like the option to go straight using a blow dry and curl. The Beauty Boutique met all of my needs. I got a wonderful color treatment and my hair is gorgeous. There was absolutely no pressure to get a relaxer and tips were provided on the best products for my hair. I have found a replacement salon

I used to walk past this salon all the time being that I live in close proximity of it. There’s other salons that have been in the area for the longest and not once have I considered having my hair done at any of them. However, this salon interested me. I finally went in and have been a customer going on a year now. She was upfront with me about my damaged hair and listened to me when I told her I didn’t want it to be cut off all at one time being that I’m not good at handling short hair. She has treated my hair, gave me excellent trims WITHOUT CHOPPING, and always been upfront about any services I inquire about. On top of it all it’s a very relaxing environment to be in with a CLEAN bathroom (nasty bathrooms in salons are a pet peeve of mine). I would definitely recommend Nilijah. Her prices are more than fair. If you can’t afford her prices u most likely should simply try another or cheaper salon.

I am a fan and Nilijah is a wonderful hair stylist. She understands that spending hours in a salon isn’t what I can do at this time and seems to always have me in and out while looking fabulous. Prices are fair and her styles are amazing. Love the mixture of products and styles of many people that enter her door. I feel comfortable and know i’ll always be treated kindly. Keep up the good work Ms. Lady!
