Its good but I found it a little bland /dull. The tortillas and look lengua seemed to have been steamed, not but on the griddle so both a little to soft for my taste. The salsa verde tasted fresh but not flavorful. The woman in the truck was very sweet and they seem to be open 24⁄7 so A for service.

This place is open late night and has the best tacos I’ve ever had! Great for late night munchies. Oh and their food portions are MASSIVE. I ordered a quesadilla the size of my arm for $ 5. Amazing authentic Mexican right here! My favorite food truck in bushwick/ridgewood!

Wow ! This was the best thing to stumble upon ! Delicious burritos. Get the spicy chorizo burrito and the beef taco. Soooo good. And the woman who runs it is lovely. So happy to have found this.

Most of the time this place is solid, but my last few trips here have been hit or miss. For instance, today they were out of Chorizo(isn’t that why we go to these taco trucks!!!) Other times they leave out stuff such as hot salsa and limes with the tacos, which is a bummer when you get home. The truck beside theirs is better about this stuff, but it’s there less. La Carcachita is good, but not great

This cart never, ever lets me down. I lived very close to this cart for 2 years and I miss it so much– when I’m back in the area seeing friends I usually make a point to hit it up. First off, the food is always hot and cooked to order-and I’ve never gotten sick after eating here(which is more than I can say for any of the other taco carts at the Myrtle Wyckoff stop) and most importantly all of their meats and taco/sandwich options are excellent– I would definitely especially recommend the lengua, chorizo, or al pastor tacos– or get just about anything they offer in a cemita or huarache– can’t lose!

I’ve had the chicken quesadilla with jalapeños every day for the last week; they recognize me already :) Absolutely delicious meal for $ 5, you won’t regret it! Hot, spicy, cheesy, simple substantial deliciousness.

The truck is still alive! The original Tacos La Carcachita truck started undergoing some maintenance several months ago and there has since been a carousel of different looking trucks. Most of the time, the usual employees are in there taking care of business so no need to freak out, as I have done multiple times over the thought of not having the same tacos. I have walked past this truck almost everyday for the last 3 years, and it never gets easier to refrain from getting a delicious burrito, or at least one taco for $ 2.50. All of the meats are tasty and cooked well. The tacos are simple, consisting of your choice of meat topped with salsa verde, sauteed onions, cilantro and radish. I have scoured the city for Chorizo, and Tacos La Carachita has the most flavorful, freshly chopped Chorizo, rather than the crumbly kind found so often at taco stands. The burritos have the same fantastic meat selections, but come packed with rice, re-fried pinto beans, lettuce, tomato and some queso. I love Chipotle, I love Taco Bell, I love Taco Cabana, and Don Julios… but Tacos La Carcachita changed the way that I view tacos. I thought it was always chicken or ground beef with lettuce tomato and cheddar cheese, but with well seasoned meet and the right simple ingredients, this amazing taco truck in Bushwick showed me that there is a better way. I suggest you try it.

How I’ve missed my taco truck! By far one of the best in NYC. That’s pretty strong to say but I promise you won’t be disappointed! Want to chat the guys will talk to you as you wait. Get a soda and let the food coma commence. This will get you full for cheap and will taste amazing! Stop reading my damn review and get your arse over here and get a taco, or two!

Alot of places«Mexican» that we have gone to or gotten delivery from has always been disappointing until now. We don’t live in this area but we do work in this area so it’s a plus for us to have a new place to order from. Food was very fresh and very tasty. They didn’t get a 5 star rating from me only because it took a long time to get our order. «over an hour» Outside of that I would recommend them. Burritos and taco’s are the bomb!

If anyone knows me well enough they know one of the loves in my life is a good taco. Especially if they are cheap. And this place definitely has that down pact. I get the fish tacos and they are always really good. The only two things I mind is the kind of long line and wait and the rise in price on the fish tacos. And they have no pico de gallo or guacamole… no bueno! Well I guess that’s three things but luckily for them when I’m in the mood for a good taco I find myself in front of their truck.

Have to admit that this was the first time I have gotten food from a taco truck. I know my foodie friends rave about them and Los Angelenos make them a part of life but I once dated an emt and she would tell me of food poisoning cases from food trucks all the time. Well I have gotten off this spot on the L for the past few months to go to my girls house and keep smelling the food from this truck. I see the people gathered around waiting so I know the turnover has to be good soooo what the hell my ex was an idiot anyway and even if I get sick it could get me some sympathy from my girl. I decided to try one taco to sort of test the waters. I got the roast pork taco and it was amazing. My first truly authentic(No lettuce, tomato and crispy shell) Mexican taco. Soft, warm tortilla with really meaty, juicy and flavorful pork, pickled onions, radishes, cilantro and a green sauce. I devoured that bad boy on the way to her place and her grams dog enjoyed licking my fingers after. Best part… I did not get sick! Better part… I will be back for more!(Might even get one for my girl and hell one for the dog too)

These guys know what they’re doing. Having grown up in California, I’ve had my share of Tex-Mex and whitewashed Mexican food. On rare occasions, I’ve had legitimate stuff. This taco truck comes close. As it was raining one night and having had a rather disappointing experience with my roommate at Beauty Bar, we happened upon this place and decided to get a bite. I had a chicken quesadilla for $ 5 and my roommate sampled two of the veggie tacos at $ 2.50 each. We were both satisfied and full. Will be returning over the summer as the weather heats up. One warning: both of their salsas have some kick. I can’t handle the red. The green is a nice addition though. Damn I’m really hungry now.

The tacos are tasty and authentic and the prices are right. Everything a taco truck should be. A big part of the reason why I get off at the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop take the slightly longer walk home.

My favorite Mexican food spot in the area, and that’s saying a lot since the taco/mexican places nearby are among the best I’ve found anywhere in NYC. I’m just to starting to eat my way through the menu, but the tacos and quesadillas are quite good. For $ 4, the quesadillas are probably a better deal than the tacos, since they are large, packed with your meat of choice and include cheese and a little crema. They do a really nice job with the carnitas here, so if you like pork, definitely give the carnitas a try. Lately, their carnitas quesadilla has been my go-to menu item. There are three women who’ve been working every time I’ve visited and they’re all so nice! On top of the delicious food, their smiles make the experience even better. I’ll try the burritos and huaraches soon and report back.

The steak burrito here is big and filling, but they seem to be putting way too much of that Goya seasoning on the meat. It gives the whole thing an overly salty, MSG-laden quality, and the strong flavor stays in your mouth for quite a while afterward. The smaller cart just across Myrtle has the same problem but it doesn’t seem quite so bad. The other meats, like the al pastor and carnitas, might be better, I’m not sure. For a steak burrito I think I’ll stick with Café Los Arcos or El Fogon, a couple of stops north.

Anything«al Pastor» is your best bet. Sweet and savory pork in a delicious burrito? Heck yes! Like the others said, it’s your perfect«IjustgotofftheLtrainI’mdrunkandhungryomgwhatdoido?» if the idea of cold McDonald’s fries makes you wanna hurl. In fact, their tacos are probably the best in the area, and that’s including several actual brick and mortar stores, like La Azteca(on Cornelia and Wyckoff — although they’re pretty god damn delicious, too!). Expect a line at 3am on a Friday night/Saturday morning.

Best mexican place in the area! Cheap, with huge, delicious $ 4 quesadillas, $ 2 tacos, $ 5 tortas, cemita, sopes, $ 6 burritos, etc, and any and every meat you could think of. It’s open late for those nights you’re coming home cross-eyed and fiendin’ hard for some munchies, and there’s also a good chance you’re going to have many an early morning drunk conversation with inebriated locals who already don’t have that great of a grasp of the english language, let alone whilst intoxicated. Good times. PS. It’s also much better than any of the other tiny taco stands around the station.

This is the taco truck(not cart or trailer) next to the Myrtle-Wyckoff station. Open late(all night?), tacos are $ 2 and awesome, quesadillas are enormous and $ 4. Vegetarian options available. What else are you going to eat around here at this hour, McDonald’s?
