Sunny Master Spa

i’ve been sick and sore so I wanted to release some stagnant energy inside of me, GREAT decision to come here. they have a RIDICULOUS deal here, 55 min for 35 $ and SO good, honestly better than most massages I have ever received. I walked in and they took me immediately. the space is nothing fancy but clean and WARM and your going to be staring at the floor the whole time anyway, or close your eyes so who really cares. a woman began massaging me and was so relaxing, about 25min through a man asked if it was ok if they switched, so I was able to experience two different types of touch and WOW.:. amazing, very evident sunny knows the human body and pressure points, very unique and varied touch, will MOST DEFINITELY be going back and you should too. he ran out of the room near the end though to help someone that walked in and then finished quickly though, but hey nothing’s perfect and that was pretty freaking close haha.

This is my new favorite go to place for massage. I have officially broken up with Wu-​Lim after 4 years in favor of Sunny Master. This place is worlds better than all the competition in Greenpoint and Williamsburg.
First, the prices are 15−30% less than any other place in the hood. $ 35 for an hour is something I have never seen in Greenpoint and a deal that is only otherwise found in the dingiest armpits of Chinatown.
The place itself is remarkably clean, pleasant and newly renovated. The massage tables are real and very comfortable (not the standard plywood with an unfriendly face hole and some cheap foam.)
They use real unscented massage cream — not cheap scented stuff from the dollar store.
SO why the missing star?
After my first time there I wanted to give them six stars because I was lucky enough to get Sunny himself. He is, like the other reviewers have mentioned, a REAL pro with some obvious knowledge about the human body.
The second time I went, he wasn’t there so I got Nancy, (at least I THINK that’s her name)
a feisty looking masseuse who obviously smokes tons. While this put me off she assured me that she was good and wow she was right. Just as good as Sunny if not better.
So at 2 for 2 I’m thrilled so I go back ten days later and get yet another masseuse who’s name I never get. The massage is pretty good but she relies on crawling all over me on all fours in order to really dig in. In addition to just being a bit awkward, I wake up with crazy bad back pain the next day.
And finally, the last time I was there, I am treated to a massage not nearly as good as the other three and when I go to pay, she doesn’t have correct change to give me so I can tip her. So she tries to KEEP an $ 8 tip for herself — for a $ 20 half hour massage. Pretty obnoxious. I manage to dig up $ 4 in singles to give her and she scowls at me like i’ve stiffed her.
All told — I’ll be going back but not without making sure that Sunny or Nancy are available.

I’m always seeking a good massage. You know that saying «you get what you pay for?» It’s a lie. I’ve been to upscale Spa’s in soho; Williamsburg; smaller Walk-​in operations all over Manhattan and in several other locations around the country… Let’s just call me ‘a massage whore’. I’ve not found anyone as good as Sunny. He really knows what he’s doing and the price is amazing. It’s about half of what you would normally spend so you can feel good leaving a really nice tip.

This place was a joke went with some friends and it was extremely inconsistent. One bad, One terrible, and one great apparently. One massage therapist farted three times. The other guy was i don’t even know what he yanked, tugged and stabbed very painful. I don’t even think he’s a masseuse anyways wouldn’t recommend.

The boss is a good massage therapist. He definitely knew what he was doing. Great deal — 40 for 55 min was really worth it. The rooms weren’t fancy but nice and clean.

You can not beat this price. I walked away feeling AMAZING. So much lighter and free on tension. Private rooms. I’m now a regular.

This place is in BROOKLYN, not in Manhattan! I ve been manhattan and couldnt find it.
Sunny is a dude from Jilin city in Northeast China, like Boston in US.
He quit his Hospital Therapy doctor job and came to US many years ago.
Mind my words He is EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD among his kind. More Importantly the guy talks Funny too, not dull or speechless like most other Oriental workers.
