No nonsense laundromat with reasonable pricing if you’re in South Slope or Windsor Terrace. Same day drop off wash and fold service is excellent.

What a waste of money and time.
Physically the place is a mess. Dead tv, 3 seats outside, just a train wreck inside.
That I can deal with, but when you’re cheating people with your dryers? Not good. I spent hours here recently waiting for my laundry and will never go back. Junky machines eat your money.

Used them every week for four years while living in Brooklyn. They pick up, deliver and were consistent.

This is for the pick up service.
I love them. Clothes always come back clean, no mystery bleach stains or anything weird. Sometimes I leave things in pockets (bobby pins or earrings) and they always come back neatly stacked on top of the military folded laundry.
I always send out ~100 lbs of laundry and it comes back clean and fresh very fast.
I would say 4.5 stars, because they’re cash only.

I have brought my laundry here every week for drop off/​pick up for over a year and a half. However, I will never return after some recent happenings.
1) I called for pick up a few weeks ago, which I have done before. There are no signs in the store about a «required» weight for pickup or minimum. The guy on the phone asked me how big my laundry load was, and after saying about 20 – 25 lbs, he told me that was too small, and it had to be 28 lbs or more or he would have to charge me $ 50. Interesting, because it states that it’s free everywhere, and I’ve done it before. I know the guy on the phone was the usual guy at night, so it wasn’t some person that’s new. So, that was sketchy incident number 1.
2) I dropped off my laundry last week, including my usual running tights that I train with. They were sweet tech tights that cost about 80 dollars, and I get them washed every week with the rest of my running clothes (and work clothes, and socks, and jeans, and normal clothes, etc.). I went to go for a run tonight and went looking for my tights, and could not find them. Sometimes they put them with the underwear since they do resemble long johns (I guess), and I found a pair of black tights. However… these were not my running tights. They were a female pair of black leggings/​tights. Now, how did these get switched with mine? After no resolution from the worker, I will go tomorrow morning to demand money for my lost clothing. The guy tonight (same sketchy guy) yelled at me, and told me it’s weird that that happened because no one touches it except them. Well, clearly, you lost my tights, and put in someone else’s that you took, and or switched them with someone else’s. Which also means you wash my stuff with other peoples’ stuff.
Either way, I am sketched out by the situation and pissed off that I was yelled at and treated like an idiot when I complained that you lost my stuff and switched it with someone else’s, especially something I as a marathon runner use every day and was expensive. Shitty customer service.
Oh, when I looked through the lost and found he yelled at me telling me I wasn’t going to find it there. Oh really? Well, I didn’t think I would find some gross ass woman’s pants that touched her nether regions touching my underwear either, but I found that.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We tried this place when we realized out favorite drop-​off laundry guy was on vacation and we needed same day service pronto. They picked up and dropped off on time, calling beforehand and coming upstairs to our door. The price is reasonable and they offer a «no dry» option for clothes you prefer not to tumble. They did a nice job folding our clothes and returned everything we sent. I only wish they took credit cards!

This place sucks and the lady who works there is a huge dick. I randomly find bleach stains on my clothes and I’m pretty sure their machines are cold water only. However, it’s super close, so I will carry on being their laundry hostage.

I made an appointment for pick up and they did not show and did not call. I am so disappointed. I had a lot of people relying on this.
They made it right the next day. Thank you!

Suds happens to be my closest laundry spot, but I’ve also always been very happy with their service and would use them if it were more of a hike. Drop-​off clothes are clean and organized, dry cleaning is very reasonably priced, doing laundry in-​house is always easy, and they are super nice people. It’s a great place, and they’re open pretty much every single day. I’m a very happy customer!

My boyfriend and I ended up taking our dry cleaning here because it was the only dry cleaner in the area we could find open on Sunday. I had a stack of my winter coats and sweaters, and my boyfriend had some ties and jackets his cat had peed on. My boyfriend was concerned whether they would be able to remove the cat urine smell from his clothes, but the owner assured him that they would be able to remove the smell. When he asked her for an estimate on the price of cleaning his stuff, she merely assured him that it would be «cheap».
When we returned to pick up our clothes, I immediately noticed several stains on one of my sweaters, and my boyfriends’ things still smelled as bad as they had when we dropped them off. When we brought this up with the guy at the counter, he suggested that we return in the morning when the owner would be there. We came back the next day and asked the owner about the stains on my clothes and the lingering smell on my boyfriends’. Regarding the stains, she said something along the lines of ‘we can clean things a couple of times, but we can’t get every stain out’. Regarding the cat urine smell, she said ‘dry cleaning doesn’t work well for odors’, and suggested my boyfriend spray ‘perfume’ on his things, even though when he initially brought his stuff in, she repeatedly assured him that removing the smell would be no problem. She did give us a slight discount on our dry cleaning when we asked (my boyfriend paid $ 30 instead of $ 40, and I paid $ 90 instead of $ 112). However, when I got home, I was infuriated to find even more stains on my stuff. I can understand a dry cleaner not being about to remove major stains, but these were relatively minor. I also found hair and lint on a number of my items as well. I will definitely not be using Suds on 8^th Ave again.

Definitely more expensive for laundry than I used to pay up in East Harlem, with way less washers and dryers, but there’s definitely something to be said about having 4 different washer sizes.
And there is REALLY something to be said for being able to get change for a $ 20 in paper bills before changing it all into quarters. Extra star for that service alone.
Only open til 8:30? I have to do my laundry on weekends. I miss my 24 hour laundromat. :(

Know before you go — there are actually FOUR different washer sizes. You’d think that this would be obvious, but it’s not when you’re used to other places which usually only have two different sizes at best.
Extra Large: 28 quarters ($ 7.00) for all cycles except Quick Wash: 27 quarters and Heavily Soiled: 29 quarters. You can wash most of your life’s belongings in this.
Large: 22 ($ 5.50) quarters for all cycles except Quick Wash: 21 quarters and Heavily Soiled: 23 quarters. You can get all your bedding and towels done at once.
Medium: 16 ($ 4.00) quarters for all cycles except Quick Wash: 15 quarters and Heavily Soiled: 17 quarters. This is if you’ve procrastinated and have a ton of stuff to wash, or want extra water to thrash around a normal load.
Standard: 10 ($ 2.50) quarters for all cycles except Quick Wash: 9 quarters and Heavily Soiled: 11 quarters. For small to standard loads.
All dryers are the same (huge, industrial), and yield 6 minutes of drying time per quarter. You’ll probably spend at least 2 bucks, since 48 minutes on high heat should be enough to thoroughly dry most loads.

Without fail my lovely laundry lady answers the phone with this greeting!
I give my address and before I know it my doorbell is ringing for the pick up. Same day return of my oh so fresh laundry. Our clothes are perfectly folded and organized. Only once did I get some thing that was not mine.
Reasonably priced and I have my weekends back.
My one fault is all the rubber bands that are used. But I am sure if I told them they would not use them.

If you want to wash your clothes in HOT water, don’t go here — the «hot» setting on the machines will give you ice cold to tepid water. The dryers, on the other hand, will fry your clothes to death even on the «permanent press» setting. And you get to pay more than other neighborhood laundromats for the privilege. That said, the people who run the place are REALLY very nice! I did notice that when they do the work for you, they hit the «quick wash» button…

1) Speedy — dry cleaning gets back in two days, drop-​off laundry is available the next day
2) Solid — clothes came back impeccable (dry cleaning clean and pressed, and what other drop off place does such perfectly folded bundles, held together with rubber bands to keep everything neat?)
Wish it were a bit bigger and open somewhat longer than 8:30pm at night (weekdays), but generally, this is a clean location with an excellent staff.

Pros: This place is good. Less crowded than 7^th ave counterparts and the prices are fair. Machines are functional and do their job well, and the staff is helpful at finding you a washer or dryer if cycles have finished.
Cons: Claim to play movies, but that hasn’t been the case for 6 months now. The owner is a bit standoffish, too.

Having laundry facilities onsite was a luxury that I blissfully enjoyed for six years. I recently moved to a bigger apartment, but sadly, there’s no washing machine here and I’m back to the laundromat. Fortunately, Suds on 8^th Avenue has made the pain all that much more bearable. TV, outdoor seating, ventilation… and sometimes, when I’m feeling particularly pressed for time, I drop off the laundry bag and pick it up the next day, with the clothes washed and folded in a much nicer way than I am ever capable of doing myself. The staff here is friendly and helpful and I got a really nice calendar for 2006. Bonus.
