«Every nest starts with a simple twig» echoes the positive attitude of SimpleTwig Architecture, est 1993, and renamed in 2010, which is the spirit of every project produced out of his Carroll Gardens studio. Mr. Buccalo, holds 2 degrees in Architecture from Harvard and Ohio State, and prides himself in the thoroughness, quality of design, detailing and final outcome. Locally, Mr. Buccalo strength is to help Home Owners realize more than their dreams in a worry free process from beginning to end.

International Architects have found Mr. Buccalo’s expertise indispensable as he has been called on to work on projects like the AirTrain, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Jefferson Hall Library at West Point, New York Waterway Terminal and many other projects.

Part of what makes Mr. Buccalo a sound choice is his reasonable attitude towards professional fees, and his clients would agree. His fees are based on budget and not an artificial percentage. As always the project comes first.

Graduate of The Ohio State University and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Working since 1980 in the architectural design field, Mr. Buccalo had the responsibility of designing for firms such as Trott & Bean Architects, Studio Einauldi (Rome), Philip Johnson John Burgee Architect (NYC) and several nationally know firms, and commanded the respect of his peers who always turned to him for design answers. Never content to provide the minimum, Mr. Buccalo consistently demonstrated a high level of cognitive understanding for solutions and adeptness in visual communication techniques that set him apart that allowed projects to be completed on budget and with a high sense of style.
